Just tried it out for the second time and it came out perfect! I added more water for more soup and put in 1.5x the wet ingredients. Did 1 hr on instant pot since there’s so much soup. Tendon came out super tender and flavour was perfect! Thanks Mike!!! 😁

Made this for lunch! Only thing we left out were cardamon seed and licorice. Used beef brisket (bought at sams club) and about 7 cups of water. Left the soup in the instant pot for about 40 mins after cooking and then, let the soup boil in the instant pot on sautee mode for 20ish mins to intensify the flavor.
Garnished with bokchoy, boiled egg, green onions. Was on the spicy side but delish~ will have to try the leftovers with black vinegar
    Thank you Mikey!🙏🏻

Made this for dinner tonight and was an absolute success even without the instant pot!
If you're skeptical about this recipe, just do it! The meat is so juicy and literally melts in your mouth like butter, i couldn't stop eating it 🎉

First time cooking this cuz of rainy weather. So delicious!! You said 12 ounces of water, I think you meant 12 cups. First time using fresh noodles and it was amazing!

That brown sugar method is exactly how meat is stewed in Trinidad and Tobago! I was really surprised to see it also being used in Chinese cooking. It’s always cool to see how different cultures use similar methods in the kitchen :D

The Chinese settled in Trinidad and alot of over Carribean islands in the 1800's so alot of Carribean cooking has Chinese influence!
