The great thing from Rory live is that he improvises and also makes small mistakes, that makes me feel better about myself playing because I improvise and make those too (But I make a lot more small mistakes 🙂 ) I have no words to describe his energy and emotion in his playing and singing. Besides that he was a very friendly and modest person. Started listening to him in the 80's and still he is one of my favorites.
Wow this is beautiful! Somebody really cleaned up the picture! Rory wearing heart and soul on his sleeve. Understanding he had a purpose. But knowing he would see her again. If he left this world without finding her, perhaps it's because she wasn't in it as the same time as he was. I hope he found her again , wherever he may be. Because he deserved to have that unconditional love while he was still here. But as I say...purpose. He was a messenger. And whether you heard it first hand then met the man, or you found out about him too late Doesn't matter. You found him when you were meant to. So enjoy. Because he had a lot to give, and never asked for anything in return. And may God rest his soul. 🌈🌌💚🍀🇮🇪

Back in the 70’s I would go see Rory whenever he blew through LA and I was sad to hear of his pass ing a few years ago. His music was so soulful and he could absolutely shread a guitar, after one of his shows I remember thinking, wow, this guy is a true rock star, born to be one of, and a master musician.

It's not a signature stratocaster it's just a standard 1961 strat. Rory's brother Dónal who was his manager, looks after it and displays it and allows certain guitarists to play it occasionally
