Wow this is beautiful! Somebody really cleaned up the picture! Rory wearing heart and soul on his sleeve. Understanding he had a purpose. But knowing he would see her again. If he left this world without finding her, perhaps it's because she wasn't in it as the same time as he was. I hope he found her again , wherever he may be. Because he deserved to have that unconditional love while he was still here. But as I say...purpose. He was a messenger. And whether you heard it first hand then met the man, or you found out about him too late Doesn't matter. You found him when you were meant to. So enjoy. Because he had a lot to give, and never asked for anything in return. And may God rest his soul. 🌈🌌💚🍀🇮🇪
Agreed! To me, the latter, instrumental part of this seems to expand beyond the song-like it evolves into what could easily be a spectacular movie soundtrack
MAGIC.......No other word will do .. MAGIC...Taste, then Rory and his band and the various excellent musicians who accompanied him, they all had us riding on the crest of a wave.. The wave of music that Rory created, whether on albums or at concerts... Every album, every concert, unique, unforgettable .. As one of those fortunate enough to have seen this wonderful guitarist when he was still with Taste - thanks a million Rory G, for the music and the magical memories.. Briliant just briliant, this has always been my favourite Rory Gallagher song, saw him play on a few occasions and just so grateful that I saw him play live, magical.
It's not a signature stratocaster it's just a standard 1961 strat. Rory's brother Dónal who was his manager, looks after it and displays it and allows certain guitarists to play it occasionally
Back in the 70’s I would go see Rory whenever he blew through LA and I was sad to hear of his pass ing a few years ago. These are songs he rarely ever played,But are as significant as the rest of them.Very Emotional performance,he was a real poet. His first record is one of the most melancholic pieces of music I have ever heard. It is really great to see him evolve through the years keeping the blues and adding beautiful layers of more aggressive tones later.Rory was always true to the roots till the very end!!

There's only one Rory Gallagher!🤘🎸❤☘✌
Yes. But he had two shows. This one and the watermelon smashing comedy show. So, kind of like two Rory Gallaghers.
One of Rory's magically beautiful songs. Tremendous to see a live version of this in video form.

Too often his guitar work overshadows the brilliance of his song writing. Beautiful song. Raw, passionate performance.
Wilgar Campbell was a very good drummer!! The perfect complement for Rory and Gerry. I love the band's early stage, similar to Taste.
Concordo plenamente
I always thought this was one of his best songs. Beautiful Strat tones, heartbreaking lyrics and Rory's soulful vocal.
This was amazing. That signature Stratocaster. So good! May Rory Gallagher rest in peace. Cheers! ✌️🎸
By the way, where is that Strat? In some dunderheads dungeon, locked away from the rest of us?
@@warrenbutterfield4208 I think it's in a a museum somewhere, but musicians did have access to it. Not positive on that.

Rory lived it and breathed it, no faking that kind of conviction.
