🥰 This is the same period during which I first saw Rory and his band (same shirt!). I was 14 and had only seen Don McLean (American Pie etc) live before (solo, an excellent musician, but a different kettle of fish!). Seeing Rory that first time was an epiphany opening my eyes and ears to what live music could be like! 43 years later, my ears still haven't recovered.
i watch this video atleast once a week. seen Rory many times back when he came to the states, i have never seen a better performer and i have seen them all.
his connection to his fans was magical. Boy could he play. miss him

🎸🎶💎 MISTER RORY GALLAGHER MAESTRO 💎🎶🎸
Rory was one of our heros when our schoolband is startin at 1978! One of the first coversongs was „Shadow Play“ and we cried when we were able to do this Song! What a time in Life - thanks Rory for the Motivation you have given to so many musician all over the planet and we will never forget you !
When they asked Jimmy how does it feel to be the greatest guitar play. He said go ask Rory. Miss this man and his gift. Guess us old folk are a "Bad Penny " showing up in the change.
I now see.
What a sound from a three piece band amazing turned down requests to play with several top bands thank god Rory forever
They don't seem to make em like that anymore. Total respect !
those endings are so crucial and the drummer nailed it to the tee, Rory was so good here
