Granted in this film there is just a glimpse of his joy, in real life he was so happy, and he smiled all the time and I was struck by how mischievous and carefree he was. Nowadays, I am so moved by the negativity written by others since, many whom never met him so I am featuring my account of meeting Rory in my book, a concept, shared with his dearest. Still have a long way to go but I hope to finish it soon. So you can , maybe read it one day.

Such Talent on that Stage and Rory just kills it with those lil riffs and runs.. He puts so much into his playing and gets the most out of it that it's just mesmerizing.

All done with musicality, whilst having to re-tune all the while! My wife had the pleasure of seeing him live in the early seventies (she's older than me) - very envious 😁
I too saw Rory in early seventies at a huge outdoor rock festival here in USA. What an experience. My friends & I had heard of him but had no idea what to expect. He left us speechless! He was fantastic. He had an immediate connection with the crowd. What a performer. We loved him! One of the greatest I've ever seen!
Just recently found Rory,a sin in itself for taking so long -- but,I have n't figured out how to actually breathe while watching vids of him and the band. I'm lucky if I remember to breath 3 or 4 times the whole dang video...comes to the end,I'm usually sucking in a lungful as I'm basically passing out. I need help from some seasoned fans...wth,is this normal,something everyone goes through? I don't know where to start with Rory,he's still blowing my mind every new listen. These videos are pure gold,thank you

This was the first time I have seen/heard Rory Gallagher and I hope I will have the opportunity to see this for the last time before I leave this world. My world was destroyed and reshaped at the same time when I saw this years ago, and it will never leave me. There is no word I know to express my feelings for this man, the band and the music. I've been through a lot in my life and this has saved my soul and changed my life. No matter what I've been through and lost before and no matter what I've been through since, I always just have to remind myself of this man and his music to get right back up and keep trying. I didn't give up because of him. I wish he knew that.

This right here is why Jimi Hendrix, when asked if he was the best guitarist in the world, deferred to Rory Gallagher. You can see that SRV and many others learned from him, and as great as they all are, nobody comes near this humble Irishman, demonstrating total mastery of his instrument. He was, by all accounts, a grand and decent fella, as well.
Amazing! It's always good to see "new" videos coming up. A lot of my Rory videos in my playlist disappeared over the past years sadly. 😞 Rory and Frankie Miller performing live "Walking the Dog" for example. This was such a fun performance and it was deleted from TH-cam sadly. I liked to come back to watch it quite often. I think it was at Rockpalast and I hope that the Rockpalast channel will someday upload it (I guess the video I watched was an upload from some private person who had no copyright)
