This newly released monitor is definitely one of the best OLED Ultrawides on the market. With a brighter than ever screen thanks to LG's MLA+ technology, this is easily one of the most beautiful monitor displays that I've ever used, but is it worth the asking price?
Note: In the US, screen burn-in is included in the 2-year warranty.
Monitor kindly supplied for review, but as always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

What do YOU think is the perfect size monitor? 👀
Why don't you jump to 4k lg 480hz and 240hz there are better one came out ❤??
@@thecasualgamerpunk This is a review for LG, I'm also happy with my current monitor to be honest! :D
@@ScorpioTech nice monitor man keep going 🥰
@@thecasualgamerpunk Will try my best, thank you buddy!
Hey which game are you playing at the moment 8:17 timeline name the game❤❤❤??
The footage you captured of this screen is insane 😍
Great review 👌
appreciate your quality videos!
Am torn between going for G9 49” OLED with 32:9 for $1100 preowned or LG 45” OLED with 21:9 (prefer this aspect) but worried about low ppi coming from 34” VA panel 2k monitor.
Also, I assume you are using Phillips hue play bars behind your monitor, do you need the sync box for them to sync up with display as in the video? Or just the app?
Thanks
Sick monitor bro!! I am still stuck with an 1080p IPS panel monitor haha but it does the job done haha. Nice review! 😍
It's honestly incredible, with such a great feature set too. Gaming on this thing is an awesome experience. Ah no worries man, if it works, it works! Thank you so much for the support!
@@ScorpioTech ❤Anytime man.
i have 20 inch TN monitor with 1600x900 resolution
great video! i just got this monitor and absolutely love it. But when i go full screen mode how do i get rid of the borders on the side??
How is this compared to the Alienware 34dwf?
Wich its better?
Odyssey neo g 8
O
That Lg
Thanks for the help
Sick monitor, though I am not the biggest fan of UW monitors, this one's pretty nice!
Does this monitor need a color profile such as others?
I saw that display port 2.1 is out does this support it or only 1.4? Idk if any monitors have 2.1 yet as its somewhat newish
Very good Monitor and great video! thanks, what speakers do you have?
It's a fantastic monitor! And thank you, I really appreciate that. The speakers are Edifier MR4, I think they're great!
The looks great but having the 45GR95QE-B as my main monitor as well for the past few months, I don't think I can step back down to a smaller Ultrawide because the immersion is too good on a bigger display despite the lower PPI.
I'm 100% in the same position as you, as much as this monitor looks fantastic, I'm so used to the sheer size of the 45" and the immersion that comes with it that I switched back, even though the PPI is worse as you said (it hasn't really bothered me much at all, especially when gaming)
Couldn't get dldsr to work on this monitor without using display port with compression disabled. Limits you to 144hz if that's something you're interested in.
Awesome video
Thank you so much! I appreciate it
Ordered mine from Best Buy yesterday! Can’t wait
how is it? I have the alienware 34 and want to upgrade!
@@smcremix8791 I have a question for you, I am looking this monitor and the Alienware 34. Since it sounds like you have the Alienware do you think I should get it or the LG monitor
I love the monitor, the stand and i will say this, i was waiting for ages for this video.
Really love the contecnt, not to forget the monitor.
Sadly, I don't think I will get such an amazing 🤩 one, as my desh is very small :(.
But i really love it and waited till from the stone age till 2042.

Hey r u gonna do a 2024 room tour
Not sure buddy, I haven't changed much since 2023 : (
Could you review the 39" version of this if possible? Also what happened that your 45" screen you reviewed 5 month ago I guess...
I'm still using the 45" as my main monitor, I love the size, screen space and immersion, although the 34" is really nice too.
I had two options for this review and took the 34" to test out, so unfortunately it's unlikely I'll also get to try the 39". But the only difference would be the screen size, the features are the same.
The most noticeable difference would be the PPI on the 39" being worse @ 1440p and maybe making text less clear, but both fantastic monitors regardless.
I have the 39 in one... its the sweet spot... I returned the last year 45in for it... the 39 looks way better
@@ralphtime yeah absolutely, 45" is really too big for 1440p, but imo at 39" its going to look fantastic. Enjoy the monitor buddy!
@@ralphtime it Look better Because 39”is a new monitor but next month LG will release 45” with same panel like 34 and 39” model (45GS95QE)
Wallpaper name
guys whats the better monitor the alienware awd3423dwf or this
this for the higher refresh rate - but the alienware has burn in warranty
Just grabbed this and gave my kids my Alienware. I went to micro center though and got the warranty with it.
Can you do a 2024 room tour?
I wish, I just haven't changed enough since 2023.
Do you think theres a big difference visually with this vs a 4k oled? To the point where its a deal breaker. Contemplating this or a 4k monitor.
Great question. If it's purely for gaming then this is a fantastic monitor but if you're doing a lot of browsing / work then I'm sure you'll really appreciate the 4k. Personally it doesn't bother me at all but I've had a few comments saying they don't like 1440p at this size.
@@ScorpioTech Definitely just using it primarily for gaming. But at this price point I think it should be 4k. Theres 4k oleds cheaper than this. But that ultrawide format with the curve looks so immersive and fun.
@@stevegomez232 Well boy-yo, it's currently on sale for $900 at LG website
Bro I just got the odyssey g8 and now they releasing 240hz 34 inch oled monitors already 😭
im with you bro i got my 32 in g7. I might just sell and get this monitor its only 800 right now massive sale. I've just wanted oled and a ultra wide at 4k.
this is much better then the G8, the G8 is to Finicky!
@@smcremix8791 The G8 is perfectly fine, just could've waited a bit longer though to get these extra features
3440x1440 21:9 its sweet spot for gaming you dont need RTX 4080 or 90 for good gaming expirence i waiting for 360Hz variant
you can also use dldsr which works well
Even a 4090 is not fast enough for a 2160 ultrawide. It's ca. 30 % more pixel.
its amazing how this monitor is still in stock while the lower MSI one is not. They should have used Gorilla Glass or Glossy what a waste
LG just (temporarily?) dropped the price of this and the 39" one by $200 each. Probably because of what you mentioned, it is still in stock and likely not selling well versus cheaper competition products.
I don’t see why anyone would get this over the aw3423dwf. It’s usually cheaper.
@@christianflex4all Only if they want the larger size in the 39" (despite lower PPI) or higher refresh rate.
But problem this monitor not support ps5
U mean the ps5 doesn’t support the monitor
Hi scorps
Hey Nick, how are you doing?
Bro, already got another monitor
Haha, it's just for the review, I'm most likely going to keep using the 45" for now as I'm used to it, even though this monitor is excellent! Thanks for watching!
- Price too high
- No KVM switch
- HDMI 2.0
- No USB-C
- Matte of all matte coatings, can see the pattern in every video review of this monitor
LG and the various partners missed the mark. Price on these is just too high for what's on offer. If they were $900 I'd give it a shot, but $1300 for 34" and $1500 for 39" is too much.
Is this advertisement?
It says so both at the start of the video and in the description - although they only supply the monitor, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Speedy, I appreciate it! Enjoy the vid 💙
800R for 21:9 ? Hard pass lol.
I'm out of breathe listening to you. Slow down with your vocal discourse, breather and use pauses between sentences, its much easier for the listener and allows people to fully absorb what you are saying.
It is exhausting listening to you, however the content is good.
Dont take this the wrong way, its constructive criticism.
Hey, thank you for being polite about it, I appreciate the feedback. I'll try and work on that for future content, I'm aware that something needed to change but wasn't sure exactly what, I'll give the pauses a go! Thanks for watching.
Not all feedback is good feedback. Felt like a good pace to me and was able to follow along easily.
Great❤
How cool this monitor is , and your review made everything clear , thanks for your hard work ben , always have my support 🫡🤍
