  • Imagine it's 5 am and snowing outside. Now, imagine you're pregnant and going into labor when you're only nineteen years old. This can be a very scary scenario even for an uncomplicated pregnancy.
But Melissa knew there were no guarantees. Her baby boy had been diagnosed with gastroschisis, a birth defect in the belly wall of the baby that can cause the intestines to be found on the outside of the body.
"I was 19, alone in an exam room being told that my child was going to be born with a birth defect."
You're going to be so inspired by her story.
With the help of her family and a team of medical people that cared about her and Aiden, her son, how she got through this and is stronger than ever today.
Don't forget to head to the blog post for more information and resources.
    Glad you're here!
    Tracy

Melissa is one of the strongest women that I know. She is super mom for Aiden, she does everything to get him the best care possible and works nonstop to provide her family with everything they need and want. ❤️❤️

I was born with gastroschisis of which is probably why I have renal dysplasia, due to me being born early. I was hospitalized for 6 months according to my great grandma. I do feel bad about the scar, but I’ll be ok.
