Wowwww thank you so much for sharing this with us!!!! I'm so glad I found your channel!!! The first video I found was actually the one about post-bac information, but I could tell you were a really genuine and knowledgeable and cool person to follow, so I just decided to start at the beginning lol! I'm glad I found this specific video too because my path is also seeming to be non-traditional, so I was really glad seeing you as an example!! I can't waittt to learn more from you as I watch the rest of your videos!!!! 💗💗💗💗

Hi i love this video! I was really hoping you could do a video about forming a narrative. I have being struggling with formulating this while I’m in my post-bacc program as I had worked in a couple different industries and got a masters during my 3 gap years after under-grad.

I really love your videos. I think it’s so refreshing to have such an honest conversation. I am really interested in Georgetown for medical school and was wondering if you would be interested in making a video about why Georgetown, why it is a good fit for you, and what you believe lead to your success in matriculation.

Thank you for sharing your story! I'm now graduating with a bachelor's degree (Japanese Studies!!!) and I really want to go back to my previous path, which was science-focused. I felt exactly the same - gave up on medicine thinking I'm not good enough, loved languages so picked the hardest on the best university in Poland. But now that I'm graduating, I realized that no money can give me happiness and satisfaction, and in order to feel fulfilled I need to let myself try to get into med school. So I decided to take a gap year and retake my school-leaving exams at 23yo! Watching videos like yours makes me feel really relieved and motivated - In my country, it takes 6 years to finish med school so I've been scared it might be too late... Congratulations on being brave enough to change your life path!!!!

i always wanted to go the science route in college but ended up changing to a liberal arts major because i did not think i was good enough to continue in STEM. i went to a really competitive high school and never did as well as my friends who all graduated straight A's (i was so close but alas). i am on a criminal justice route as a junior in undergrad right now but have decided to attempt it after talking myself into and out of science classes all through college. until recently watching your videos and videos of other nontraditional med students i did not think it would be possible to attempt and get into a med school. it would take extra time and money but honestly it is something i am so passionate about and it would seem like a shame to not at least give it a try. Possibly merging med school and criminal justice would be really cool potentially as well and i think med school would be beneficial to try whether i do forensics or criminal studies. thank you so much for sharing your story, it gives me a lot of hope. talking about nontraditional routes into medicine is something not talked about a ton and it is so refreshing to hear people talk about

going through college or university not knowing what you want to do is one of the most frustrating and confusing and degrading to your self esteem and even just starting to research the possibility i feel a lot better in terms of where my life is going

Ur not the only one, I really loved science when I was little and even my 5th grade science teacher believed that I was a perfect match to be a doctor. As I got older, I started to get interests in psychology, language, and history. I am super good at bio but suck at math, chemistry, and physics. So I got discouraged pursuing a STEM major after hs and after switching my major so many times at my cc, I became a psych major. This was cuz I failed/withdrew intro to chem and college algebra multiple times. Right now, I hate my major and I wish I could've studied something else like anthropology and remain on the pre med route. Unfortunately, I'm almost done with my degree so I have to finish😔.

whew that was the hardest decision. I quit my full time job and moved back home with my parents. I still worked but it was about 10-15 hours a week so less than a part time job and mostly to pay off my car loan (adulting lol). But apart from that I made MCAT my full time job. It was brutal but I knew it wasn't forever!

As long as you take all of the required courses for medical school you will be fine. Just make sure that you build a relationship with at least to science/stem professors. Also, look into BS/MD programs where a college has a pipeline for their students to get in to medical school

Answer these next 2 questions: what is the maximum you personally are taking out in student loans per year? can it exceed $80,000 or not? That’s $320,000 before tuition gets taken off.

Probably there's 20,000 residents x 4 years of residency years right now and each physician is making x $50,000 during residency.
Seems like the US government has $4,000,000,000 (trillion)
to give away every year to physicians who are in residency. Imagine these residents graduate, and how much money they will make per year. AT LEAST 3 times that much!
$150,000 a year! Is that true?
