I'm from the Azores and I must tell September and even October are better than July. August is better as well but it's more expensive of course. The summer comes and goes late in the Azores, in September you'll have warmer seas, higher temperatures, drier days and less tourists. I always advise September to my friends, its the real summer. There are rainy days, as always (that's why it's so green), so take the chance to go to the hot springs in São Miguel island :)
Couldn't agree more. September can also feel too hot with the high humidity. We could not wait this month to end last year.

@@1ilaalejandra It was amazing. I had a great time. The hiking and lush green scenery was spectacular. I was very lucky with the weather in January. It was sunny and perfect temperature most of the days. It only rained 2 days while I was there.

But isn't july packed with tourists as well?
yeah, but if you go on Winter and Spring you might get your sightseeing ruined by fog. The problem on Azores and Madeira is that, as volcanic islands, they get foggy days very often and the weather is very unpredictable. Going on July will probably make it less likely that you find fog, but not impossible. :)

From Bangladesh 🇧🇩. Just knew about the place. Do people speak English there ?
old people don't, but young ones do speak English. In Portugal all movies and TV series have subtitles, they are not dubbed, so it makes us learn english quite fast. We are very welcoming people though, don't worry :)

I've been to all the 9 islands and I've never heard anyone say that the Azores were an "ugly place" - quite the opposite, actually... but I guess there are stupid people everywhere.
