The lack of sandy beaches are a blessing, It keeps the mass tourism at bay. The Azores are a treasure and need to be protected. Im building a home on Pico and will be there permanently soon (from Canada). It's a paradise on earth unlike any other. ❤
@@HANK_SCORPI0 I hope this year i visit Azores , I'm also looking for a house to buy . I need to visit Madeira as well to see which one is better for me. Good luck with your project
The Azores has cool, chilly montane weather. When most tourists want to visit islands, they usually want somewhere warm and tropical it seems. That helps cut down on excessive tourists while also being attractive to people such as myself who enjoy cooler climates.
What an incredible journey. I will be in port for a day in San Miguel. But one day I want to come back to see the incredible wave at in Nazere Portugual. I can't wait to visit here. It looks so mysterious and beautiful.

Fantastic video! Thank you for putting this together. Beautifully made and informative! Looks like you really enjoyed your stay there. Cant wait to visit.
Thank you. I found your video outstanding! From the use of maps to the narrative and the use of language to be top notch. Mentally, I have been ready for years and now it is a must destination. Greetings from NYC.
What a masterpiece. Found this video, was blown away and explored your channel. This is the most criminally underrated channel on TH-cam. Soothing voice, compelling storytelling giving the viewers the good and bad of trips, beautiful edits, top tier cinematography, high production value. I wish creators like you were rewarded by the algorithm gods more frequently. We need more of this content. Instant huge fan.
When you did this trip did you stay in one house/hotel or did you move every night to different parts of the island ? We will be there in March and just wondering what the best way to see the whole island is
Love your video. We first discovered São Miguel 7 years ago, it's beautiful but please do go visit the other Central group of islands, truly magical 😃 Well done on your climb! Climbing Pico is on my bucket list!!
Great choice going to Azores. It's on my list for to long now. I don't know how to say it without being mean but you can do more than 2350m!! Pico is like an afternoon walk in the park in foggy weather. Next one please do Mount Teide and a small trek on El Hiero
Ahh yes! We were originally supposed to go to Tenerife and do the Mount Teide hike but it was around the time of the Ash cloud so we went to the Azores instead. Do not regret the switch one bit! The Azores was fantastic! Keep it on your list :)
I believe there are ferries in the summertime but when we went the only option was to fly. There are a few flights each day from what I remember, we had to do a quick stop over on our way to Pico but it was pretty smooth.
I believe we didn’t have to, just a vaccination certificate was enough but this was November now so I’m not sure if the rules have changed. We ended up getting one before anyway just in case 👀
Hmmm I’d say it’s pretty much the cost of Portugal mainland but then add a bit more for flights and the fact you have to rent a car. We bought our flights from the Uk and flew with Ryanair so they were pretty cheap (£100 return). 👍👍 add it to your bucket list! It’s gorgeous and so peaceful!
Thanks for sharing your cool adventure to the azores. Very great video! We wanted to go this february too, but we changed plans because the weather should be then really cloudy 😄 I wanted to ask you, how you do this cool animated maps? Do you use a specific program?
@@tzveti hey ! Yeah I went in april. It's mostly always sunny and warm in the southern part of the island. When you go north or in the mountains it was 50% cloudy / rainy and 50% sunny. I recommend April. Less tourists. Weather is good. But the flowers weren't blooming yet (from what I can remember). Hope this helps.
63K views. Well, I am sure this video was all it took to pump up the tourism in the Azores. This video and Google Screen that let me know that Azores existed in the first place and then I found your video. Like if you now have it on your bucket list of places to go.
Impeccable images. Keep up the good work. I take this opportunity to invite you to follow "Azores, What Else", both here on TH-cam, as on Instagram and other social networks. Best regards.

Oh my gosh, Hey!! Are you planning a trip to the Azores then?? It's awesome! Hope you're all good Dafne!

Lived in the Azores for several months, on the island of Teceira. Absolutely, breathtaking. Much more stunning than Hawaii.

We went in a November and it was super mild, so I imagine it would be similar in December 👍
I didnt know they existed either one week ago😂 i booked a trip in november
What camera do you use ?
A Panasonic GH5 👍
So funny the way you pronounce Azores, except for Miguel cousin of Michael (translation in English) that's perfect
I came here because i Was reading some info on atlantis and azores was mentioned.
