Pentatonix has never been above using (and improving upon) someone else's song, and even Cher occasionally lucked onto a really good song. And right now, especially with the war in Ukraine and Putin threatening to go nuclear, this song is *extremely* timely. I'm nearly 70. I *remember* when school children were being told by their teachers to hide under their desks and put their arms over their heads if a nuclear bomb went off nearby - it was called "duck and cover," and it would have done *nothing* to actually protect the children. And right now, I'm very afraid that we're nearing that again. I find myself listening to _Prayers for This World_ repeatedly right now, clinging to it like a security blanket.
This song SHOULD have a Broadway feel to it. It is probably the most famous song from the hit Broadway show "Dear Evan Hansen". That show made Ben Platt a star and also won the Tony for best musical and Platt also won best actor. What I like about PTX performance of it is that they kept it more true to the original than they usually do, yet it still had the PTX stamp to it. Delighted you enjoyed it so much.

I don't really have a plan yet, because it's been 10 years since I was in school they made me take English and Math(yuck) to see where I'm at I guess. Got through those. I take 3 online Lectures I have to sign into. Civics, Humanities and History. I got Civics out of the way, and will be tested on that course next week. I still have Humanities and History to complete and be tested on. Then a long talk with my counselor I should be able to decide which direction I want to go in. Something with History I think. You always tend to underestimate what a Swiss pocket knife Scott actually is. He can go deep and take over the bass from Avi in Hallelujah, and he can go high almost matching Mitch, like he does in this song. All of them are insane, but people talk about Kevin‘s beatboxing, Mitch‘s counter tenor and Kirstie‘s fast vibrato - but no one ever comments Scott‘s insane range and versatility!
Kevin is literally the frame they build on actually, his percussion line is always done first, then Matt's bass. But Scotts voice is the support system that makes it all structurally safe for everyone else to do their parts, except of course when they hold it all down for him to go off.
I'm not a Broadway fan, so I didn't know this song at first either. It really grew on me. I just love to hear Scott sing no matter what style. I can't wait to see you react to Mars and all of Scott's future solo music. 🤍

As always, with few words, between pointing out what he wanted and saying the weight he needed, he finished soon. Outside of his comfort zone, he was like an elephant between glass. No, he wasn't made to socialize with the rest of humanity. He had not been born to be on cement and asphalt. I wasn't even comfortable coming to my house (a building, streets, concrete, cars…) so that happened very rarely. However, I remember one occasion (and I think only one) when I heard him laugh at something that had nothing to do with what usually made him happy.

It does seems to be that way. The more time I spend in nature the more foreign city/town life feels. The more belonging I feel in nature the less belonging I feel in the human constructed world with its rules and laws and yes, closed in buildings and concrete etc. My body is there but my heart is not. I think I may have shared some writing of mine here somewhere that expresses this very idea. Obviously I live very differently to your grandfather, but I feel a pull and an affinity towards people like that and that lifestyle. Everytime I read your writing, I am transported to a different place and time. I am there. Thank you! I have some wonderful memories of my grandfather as well and this is bringing some of that back. ❤

I haven’t heard the original but I think I’ve heard of the musical because it was recently made into a movie and there was some discussion about the lead actors age (being too old for the character). This is very good! I had never heard of this song or the Broadway show people are posting it came from. I had ear buds in and went back and turned up the volume in the section that had such a nice bass to it. Love it! The lyrics are relatable as well. I can’t say I have a favorite, it depends on how I am feeling at the time.

I had not heard this song. At first I thought it might be new. However Mitch’s hair said it was older. 😊 It’s a good song but not my favorite. I really loved the part about falling in a forest. That’s a fun way to date a Pentatonix video, just look at Mitch’s hair. Scott has almost as many voices as Mitch has looks. no I haven’t heard Rob and Austin’s song yet (it feels weird using their names 😂) I am of course subscribed to all of their channels and I’ve clicked the notification bell so I got the email when they posted it. I was late to the party, discovered Pentatonix about a month ago and dove down the rabbit hole head first. And at this point I'm past being amazed by them. Basically, I expect everything they do to be perfect, because _it always is._ So no, this song is not amazing (though from anyone else it would be). It's "just" very beautiful.

There are a couple of great versions of the song (you are right - From Broadway musical "Dear Evan Hanson") and other songs from the show you might enjoy. Well let me tell you! Since he was a puppy he would sit at my feet as I was getting ready and he learned then that he is a high maintenance dog and wants all of the things. Hair stuff, lotion, powder (which I have just for him 🙄), face cream, eye cream, perfume….when he is done his hair is sticking up all over and his face and body has spots of powder all over. It is hilarious but this is a process? I put the stuff on me, then him….wash my hands, next product. I tell him we are done and he runs to Annie to be admired. And we wonder why we have crazy dogs? 🙄 He is kinda like B ☘️ in a lot of ways….likes the admiration thang (thing.) 😂 I mean I don’t know that you use 5 million products, your horse 🐴 traits probably do not need any help at all? 😂 Well it is midnight and I am starving? I have eaten once today? This was going well until now at midnight and nothing is safe in the kitchen? 🙄 Your woman Annie got home from church after her curfew? She is in big time trouble. She said, we stopped at Sonic for ice cream 🍦. Sounds like a poor excuse lady, church gets out at 8 pm and it is now 9:30 pm? Ice Cream at Sonic does not take an hour and fifteen minutes? 🤔 (you need fifteen minutes for the drive from town, at least at their chosen speed?) Sonic….we need to write that on your list of things to do? Have we talked about Sonic? 🤔 Do you need variety in your food or do you tend to eat the same things for a time and then move on? 🤔 I have breakfast with Annie every morning and I was stuck on an egg and a piece of toast. That lasted for at least 2 months, every single day. Now it is a breakfast sandwich with an egg, cheese and ketchup on the side to dip. Yeah, it is weird but 🤷🏼♀️? It is Whataburger ketchup too which is better than any ketchup out there? Put that on the list too. This ketchup is so popular that they now bottle it and sell it at the grocery store? If I do not have that I am a Heinz ketchup girl, do not, do not even try to tell me that Hunt’s ketchup is better. Them’s fightin words Mister! 😂 Would you like to discuss Mayo next? If there is anything more controversial here it is mayonnaise? Hellman’s was leading the way but then Blue Plate and Duke’s became more widely available? This should be on any relationship questionnaire? I am convinced that people break up over this topic? I have seen fights about it over social media? Duke’s and Blue Plate are a regional to two specific areas and people draw a hard line at which is better? Yeah, so these topics may not be as compelling (weird) as….do you think people look like their feet thang (thing) 😂! Edit: I have another question? Are you ever just going along, minding your own business, not paying a lot of attention in general, kinda drifting….you walk by a window and catch a look of your face and see something there that makes you go….what in the holy heck? 😱 That just happened to me?!?! I was brushing my teeth and looked up in the mirror and there was this ginormous red bump there on my cheek?!?! 😱 Then I remember I saw a mosquito 🦟 flying around me head earlier in the day but didn’t get him? That sucker (literally) bit me!!! So I was like, okay T ❤️, maybe nobody will notice! Annie gets home from church and says immediately….what in the world is that red bump on your cheek, it is huge (so much for that plan? 🙄 ) It would probably take a whole bottle of concealer to cover it? 😂 Clown 🤡 Life…. Walking out to my Annie for her opinion and praise is adorable. If you had someone film you giving him his spa treatment I’m sure people would love to see it. In real life I don’t take compliments well, I’ve said before that I blush and then I get more red because I can feel my face heating up. I think that’s why I play on the Ts&Cs thing, like I’d be jealous of others and want all the attention on me. In real life I couldn’t think of anything worse. As for the pampering products questions, I think we chatted about some of this before, I have a summer aftershave (maybe two) and a winter one called Obsession. 2/ I hope you found something tasty to eat last night and try eat every few hours. You can’t run on empty. I’ve heard of both sonic and Whataburger we don’t have either over here but never seen a video with anyone praising their ketchup (most Irish people just say tomato sauce, you get some strange looks if you call it ketchup) I like Heinz too, it’s think, rich and not too sweet or too sour. I used to love the Heinz “ketchup" at Mac Donald’s but they make their own now and it’s just not as good. I’ve never heard of Hunts as a brand. I’d like to try it one day. I’m a Mayo man, but I have a lot of rules. It has to be served with something, I couldn’t lick the spoon or knife. On a burger I like lots of Mayo (depending on the other toppings and condiments used) I like it on sandwiches (by the way we NEVER call a burger a sandwich - I had an embarrassing interaction with a lovely cashier in a Wendy’s in NYC regarding the whole sandwich thing, very confusing) Blue Plate and Duke’s ✅ added to my list of things to try next time I visit the states. Poor Florida, I’ve been watching the news and seeing the devastation is heartbreaking. I have lots of BBs from Florida and I hope they’re all safe. I asked Annie once if she needed prevogen (not sure that is spelled right) which is an over the counter thang (thing) meant to help you with thought process and memory. There have been moments in the last few months that made me realize I might need it for meself? 🙄 I just blame the thing that we don’t name that has been happening since 2020? We were all a mess thinking wise during that and for months after? Which is so odd, at the time we had it “brain fog” was never mentioned but everybody I know personally that had it experienced “brain fog”. After a few months that totally changed, we would ask about the “brain fog” and that group of people didn’t have it? It had morphed into another version I guess? There were even people that had it twice, had “brain fog” the first time but didn’t the second time? Isn’t that strange? 🤔 T ❤️ didn’t like the “brain fog” at all. It was the worst thing that happened to me during it. When I lose my ability to think, well it wasn’t really that, I was normal for me thinking the entire time, I was just incapable of holding any of the thoughts in me head. No, no, no that just won’t do. Same, same with attention….if someone in real life pays attention to me I tend to fade away and turn into the wall paper. 😂 I blush as well. It is all so embarrassing. Comes in a can. Labeled tomato sauce. Ketchup is labeled ketchup. Whataburger ketchup will ruin you for any other ketchup. Before they bottled it I would ask for extra and keep a stash going at home? I have been known to carry it in my backpack for work? 🙄 It is that good and that special. Pentatonix has never been above using (and improving upon) someone else's song, and even Cher occasionally lucked onto a really good song. And right now, especially with the war in Ukraine and Putin threatening to go nuclear, this song is *extremely* timely.
I'm nearly 70. I *remember* when school children were being told by their teachers to hide under their desks and put their arms over their heads if a nuclear bomb went off nearby - it was called "duck and cover," and it would have done *nothing* to actually protect the children. And right now, I'm very afraid that we're nearing that again. I find myself listening to _Prayers for This World_ repeatedly right now, clinging to it like a security blanket.

This song SHOULD have a Broadway feel to it. It is probably the most famous song from the hit Broadway show "Dear Evan Hansen". That show made Ben Platt a star and also won the Tony for best musical and Platt also won best actor. What I like about PTX performance of it is that they kept it more true to the original than they usually do, yet it still had the PTX stamp to it. Delighted you enjoyed it so much.

I don't really have a plan yet, because it's been 10 years since I was in school they made me take English and Math(yuck) to see where I'm at I guess. Got through those. I take 3 online Lectures I have to sign into. Civics, Humanities and History. I got Civics out of the way, and will be tested on that course next week. I still have Humanities and History to complete and be tested on. Then a long talk with my counselor I should be able to decide which direction I want to go in. Something with History I think. So there I am.

I just woke up and had the most brilliant idea 💡(you are probably thinking, oh gosh, what now?!?! 😂) Wellll, I have these random thoughts about dumb things and I kinda sorta get stuck thinking about it for a bit, analyzing it from different angles, and sometimes I gotta tell myself, Labeth stop thinking about it!!!! 😬 Soooo, my brilliant idea 💡 is to comment some of them here and there (I mean let’s all be honest I might forget after this one 🙄) and see if I am the only one that spends (wastes) time thinking about these topics. Random Thought 1: I wake up and check the weather and it says possible flurries with the temp at 37 degrees. Immediately I am annoyed by this. 🙄 What does that even mean, possible flurries? As in how is this going to impact our (as in the entire world 🙄, not just mine) very lives? Is it enough flurries to affect people? Did the temp drop overnight to make the roads slick? Possible flurries doesn’t tell me that, I mean not that I am going anywhere, but Rob down the street works at the ham factory and should be the first of 3 cars that drives by today, he might need to know the true definition of possible flurries?!?! I mean is that even enough information? Possible flurries is a tease, might be flurries, might not but it is best that we tell you this to cover our astrodome (alternate cuss word to the cuss word alert 🚨?) Definitely a tease, which is annoying, I wake up and need information, welllll, technically not me me, but Rob down the street and hey, maybe even you over in Ireland 🇮🇪 that must think about my weather at least once a day? 🙄 Did some person at the huge weather prediction place in the world say to the person in the next cube over while sipping their coffee, hey let’s put possible flurries for the people in Southern Oklahoma, that sounds fun, people waking up to possible flurries will make them think about the roads for which I have zero info. Slurpppp. Ummmm that was the coffee, the slurppp. 😬 Because at 5 am it shows a 45% chance of possible flurries with a snowflake ❄️ but at 6 am it shows a 70% chance of rain with 🌧️?!?! I mean does an hour make that much of a difference with no change in temperature? Now do I know that the temps drop right before the sun rises, of course I know that, but honestly the temp says 37 degrees and yes I know that snowflakes are made in a colder part of the sky but goodness knows they melt most of the time before reaching the ground here?!?! Enough Labeth, move it along in your crazy brain!!! 😬 Conclusion: Possible flurries is dumb even though you, Labeth, just spent 10 mins of your life thinking about it. 😬

PTX is absolute genius. They continually amaze me with their talent. Angels on Earth.
You always tend to underestimate what a Swiss pocket knife Scott actually is. He can go deep and take over the bass from Avi in Hallelujah, and he can go high almost matching Mitch, like he does in this song. All of them are insane, but people talk about Kevin‘s beatboxing, Mitch‘s counter tenor and Kirstie‘s fast vibrato - but no one ever comments Scott‘s insane range and versatility!
Yes.... this.... they are all insanely talented but Scott is the frame they build on.
Kevin is literally the frame they build on actually, his percussion line is always done first, then Matt's bass. But Scotts voice is the support system that makes it all structurally safe for everyone else to do their parts, except of course when they hold it all down for him to go off.
I'm not a Broadway fan, so I didn't know this song at first either. It really grew on me. I just love to hear Scott sing no matter what style. I can't wait to see you react to Mars and all of Scott's future solo music. 🤍

No, he wasn't made to socialize with the rest of humanity. He had not been born to be on cement and asphalt. I wasn't even comfortable coming to my house (a building, streets, concrete, cars…) so that happened very rarely. However, I remember one occasion (and I think only one) when I heard him laugh at something that had nothing to do with what usually made him happy.

It does seems to be that way. The more time I spend in nature the more foreign city/town life feels. The more belonging I feel in nature the less belonging I feel in the human constructed world with its rules and laws and yes, closed in buildings and concrete etc. My body is there but my heart is not. I think I may have shared some writing of mine here somewhere that expresses this very idea.
Obviously I live very differently to your grandfather, but I feel a pull and an affinity towards people like that and that lifestyle.
Everytime I read your writing, I am transported to a different place and time. I am there. Thank you!

This is very good! I had never heard of this song or the Broadway show people are posting it came from. I had ear buds in and went back and turned up the volume in the section that had such a nice bass to it. Love it! The lyrics are relatable as well. I can’t say I have a favorite, it depends on how I am feeling at the time.

I’ve never sang in a professional, musical production. I’ve only ever played the lead in all of my school productions, from five years old up until sixteen (there’s videos of all of those, I cringe to think what they must look like)

I was late to the party, discovered Pentatonix about a month ago and dove down the rabbit hole head first. And at this point I'm past being amazed by them. Basically, I expect everything they do to be perfect, because _it always is._ So no, this song is not amazing (though from anyone else it would be). It's "just" very beautiful.

So I take a shower and my dog, Baxter Winston, waits for me right outside the shower door. Why you ask? Well let me tell you! Since he was a puppy he would sit at my feet as I was getting ready and he learned then that he is a high maintenance dog and wants all of the things. Hair stuff, lotion, powder (which I have just for him 🙄), face cream, eye cream, perfume….when he is done his hair is sticking up all over and his face and body has spots of powder all over. It is hilarious but this is a process? I put the stuff on me, then him….wash my hands, next product. I tell him we are done and he runs to Annie to be admired. And we wonder why we have crazy dogs? 🙄
He is kinda like B ☘️ in a lot of ways….likes the admiration thang (thing.) 😂 I mean I don’t know that you use 5 million products, your horse 🐴 traits probably do not need any help at all? 😂

Mr Baxter Winston sounds like a lovely boy. He’s right to look after his appearance and he clearly enjoys all the pampering and attention. Walking out to my Annie for her opinion and praise is adorable. If you had someone film you giving him his spa treatment I’m sure people would love to see it.
In real life I don’t take compliments well, I’ve said before that I blush and then I get more red because I can feel my face heating up. I think that’s why I play on the Ts&Cs thing, like I’d be jealous of others and want all the attention on me. In real life I couldn’t think of anything worse.
As for the pampering products questions, I think we chatted about some of this before, I have a summer aftershave (maybe two) and a winter one called Obsession. How ironic after what I went through with my “fan" maybe it was the aftershaves fault 🤔 I joke but the story would have been suitable for a Halloween livestream, I get shivers down my spine even thinking about it.

I like Heinz too, it’s think, rich and not too sweet or too sour. I used to love the Heinz “ketchup" at Mac Donald’s but they make their own now and it’s just not as good. I’ve never heard of Hunts as a brand. I’d like to try it one day.
I’m a Mayo man, but I have a lot of rules. It has to be served with something, I couldn’t lick the spoon or knife. On a burger I like lots of Mayo (depending on the other toppings and condiments used) I like it on sandwiches (by the way we NEVER call a burger a sandwich - I had an embarrassing interaction with a lovely cashier in a Wendy’s in NYC regarding the whole sandwich thing, very confusing)

Poor Florida, I’ve been watching the news and seeing the devastation is heartbreaking. I have lots of BBs from Florida and I hope they’re all safe. I saw videos of Naples, the very place I was looking into, it’s unrecognisable in the videos. Nature can be shockingly powerful. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected.

I now remember that we had the conversation about the products but I didn’t remember last night? This is happening a lot? 🤔 This is karma at work. I asked Annie once if she needed prevogen (not sure that is spelled right) which is an over the counter thang (thing) meant to help you with thought process and memory. There have been moments in the last few months that made me realize I might need it for meself? 🙄 I just blame the thing that we don’t name that has been happening since 2020? We were all a mess thinking wise during that and for months after? Which is so odd, at the time we had it “brain fog” was never mentioned but everybody I know personally that had it experienced “brain fog”. After a few months that totally changed, we would ask about the “brain fog” and that group of people didn’t have it? It had morphed into another version I guess? There were even people that had it twice, had “brain fog” the first time but didn’t the second time? Isn’t that strange? 🤔
T ❤️ didn’t like the “brain fog” at all. It was the worst thing that happened to me during it. When I lose my ability to think, well it wasn’t really that, I was normal for me thinking the entire time, I was just incapable of holding any of the thoughts in me head. No, no, no that just won’t do.
Same, same with attention….if someone in real life pays attention to me I tend to fade away and turn into the wall paper. 😂 I blush as well. It is all so embarrassing. And yet I know that my comments must come across as the most attention seeking comments on planet earth? Cringe 😬
Oh listen, a good smelling man is kind of like a magical 🪄 creature? Especially if they know how to get the right amount applied, if it is too much I might ask what smell they are trying to hide? Because dude, don’t make me figure out what smell you are tryin to hide at the exact wrong moment? I will just walk out? Just sayin….Again, never wonder why I am single? 🙄
Well that took a strange turn? 🤔 I get “shivers” down my spine thinking about your “fan” and it doesn’t even involve me or is a situation that would ever happen to me. I don’t know the story but I can imagine and the fact that the person was never caught makes it worse. They don’t normally just give up and move on? Yes, that would have been a good topic for a Halloween Livestream. Curse the cabin company (again.) Booo 👻 and hisss 🐍! 🪧 I would love to hear that story in full.

I found something to eat but it wasn’t interesting. Rice Chex, dry, because I cannot stand milk. Not to drink, not to put on my cereal 🥣. Maybe for my coffee but we have coffee creamer for that. I will try to eat but have not been hungry? I do eat that breakfast sandwich every morning but lately I am not hungry at dinner time even? 🤔 midnight seems to be my time for hunger which is bad and bad. 🙄

Same, same with the rules about Mayo! Twins! I won’t lick the spoon and if I get it on me hands it is straight to wash them, I cannot stand the smell of it either? I will eat it on something or mixed with something but lately I have developed an aversion to that? Which is like a sin in the south, potato salad, tuna salad and many, many more specific to the south recipes have Mayo. No, just no. I like mustard and Mayo on my burger 🍔 but no ketchup or gasp, barbecue sauce. I like the rest of the normal toppings most of the time although I switch it up with my mood. And a burger is not a sandwich even though it looks like a sandwich and is eaten like a sandwich.
Tomato sauce is not ketchup silly man! 😂 Tomato sauce here is what you use to make spaghetti sauce. Comes in a can. Labeled tomato sauce. Ketchup is labeled ketchup.
Whataburger ketchup will ruin you for any other ketchup. Before they bottled it I would ask for extra and keep a stash going at home? I have been known to carry it in my backpack for work? 🙄 It is that good and that special.

I didn’t grow up eating Mayo at all. We had Miracle Whip, have you ever heard of that? I now cannot stand it either, if I do eat Mayo it better be the real thang (thing.)

Creators have received an email about tagging in comments. The tube is introducing “handles" these can be used across all channels to let creators be tagged in comments, posts, video titles, polls and more. I don’t know when this will be fully implemented but my handles have been reserved and they are @ItsmeBarry (no gaps… I’m not sure if the capital letters matter) and @ItsmeBarryToo.
I guess this is the reason the system has been so glitchy recently because they have been working on this.

It is Dimash as you have not seen him yet (and I know you've seen LOTS of Dimash!) It's a 13:41 min mini-movie that seems like it take only 5 minutes to watch but when it's done you feel like you've watched a 2 hour film. It is very well done and has a powerful message.
