Looking at the amount of modules needed for crafting and upgrading in the new PTS, Murms might be a viable option
I use AA2525 UGL in vats with charging barrels and grim reaper sprint card. It is totally manageable against groups of mobs without using coffees. But for bosses you need to go high on caffeine. Now with the coffee machine in the game, heavy vatsing is more doable I feel.

"Scrip my pants" activities will be a great way to A) farm useful modules to scrip, and B) get near perfect base guns to upgrade. That B/25 tommy gun for example is one star away from being a god roll.

@@ThatBugBehindYou I would rather fine tune my current pile than keep relying on Bs dubious RNG system. This will be agony for new players. The vendors will vanish as everyone scraps what they would have sold. Maybe B will rethink this for the sake of newbs.

You won't rather fine tune anything according to experimenters saying that it'll take upwards of months with daily grinding just to get one box you want and the ability to put it on a weapon. Take that and then add you'll need to do it three times, also you're going to have to have a different weapon for every effect pool you want because you get ungodly requirements on modules each time you change a slot.
Also you're going to have to destroy your stash box or destroy your perks with as much weight boosters as possible to make up for the weight this needs.
And yeah that's all ignoring how unfriendly this is going to be to new players, which is a weird thing they keep doing this past two months since they've gotten a higher boost of new players than ever before.
Now's the time for us to complain about how they're planning this change since they're actually asking for feedback.

Even with a highly optimized VATS build you cant really make heavy weapons work with VATS, their damage is too low for the amount of AP they take per shot.

@@DadPlaysStuffthink plasma caster is the only really viable vat heavy weapon.
With other weapons; its only good at pointing out a hiding mob.
Honestly I get comments on any heavy weapon and vats, I'm more of a point and aim with heavies myself.
The cremator with multi is best with vats

The auto grenade launcher also, i forgot that thing counts as heavy.
The murmug sale is there for a reason. It’s so she can move all the crap that no one wants. My theory is that during her sale chances of getting good rolls are lower. Best time to hoard your scrip until the dark clouds pass. Btw, gonna try the Grim Reaper’s Sprint idea but other than that vats rolls on heavy weapons is useless imho.

She's been obsolete since we could roll weapons. Anyone wasting scrip on anything but modules is just hindering there own progress.

@@username-cp5jf I wish they had already implemented legendary rolling when I first started as it would have saved me well over 100k of scrip on trash.
I wouldn't run a gatling laser in vats. If I WERE to run a gatling laser in vats, I would need 25% reduced AP cost on said laser. 30 AP per shot, for 32 damage, even with crits, you're going to get piss pour damage and then you're going to be sad.
