Most recent build I made cold-shoulder/gauss shotgun vats build. Gauss shotgun for events and crit "sniping" and the cold shoulder for close up dmg dealing. I also have a pepper shaker for crippling big enemies. I am loving it.
My in game name is BoomstickFan, so I have to use shotguns (and I have a chainsaw as a back up weapon). My character carries a vampire pump action shotgun, a cold shoulder for the cryptids and a suppressed vampire combat shotgun for the sneaky kills.
TSE shotguns were definitely game breaking at the beginning, but they went WAY overboard is reducing their damage when they went from multiplicative to additive damage. But the gauss shotgun can be almost a sniper weapon. I run Enforcer on my shotgun build, so most of the time I target legs, so even if I miss, the splash damage will hit.
Now try this gun in the PTS. Most of the damage has been moved from the explosion to the impact just like the other gauss weapons. This means that point blank criticals no longer cause instant self-deletion. Now they just barely tickle you.
i still prefer my Q/E/15r double barrel shot gun dont get me wrong the gauss shot gun was fun and all but likes to bug out way to much when you try to rapid fire it and wont shoot unless you put it away and that has gotten me killed way to many times and killed the gun for me
Love your vids man! Quick question, how'd you get the health bar to show those splits? (I'm guessing it's a mod but wanted to check) Would be super helpful now that I'm getting into bloodied builds!
Lmao gauss shotgun in power armor 😂 no just no and you aren't even using a good roll for it. Why is it every video I see on yt, nobody and I do mean nobody understands how to use this gun correctly 😂 this isn't a good build. Your using this gun wrong
Not a build video, shotguns and Pa work as well as shotguns and regular armor ...cuz ya know that has 0 effect on anything the gun does and if your gonna be all wah wah ap ...does it look like I struggle for fusion cores? And enlighten us all on the "proper" way to use it ....lemme guess I shoot the guy?

Who doesn't love a good shotgun! One of my favorite weapons since Soldiers of Fortune!
Lately I've been using gauss weapons and I noticed that it's breaking the character and the weapon, sometimes I can't reload or I can't run or jump.
Usually Holstering it fixes issues like that, but i never get that issue if im honest.
I got everything to go with the Gauss shotgun from Minerva🙏🙏🔥🔥

PTS changes arent final until they are ingame so always take it with a pinch of salt.

I have the same issue with my quad/expl/bs LMG, it does so much damage so fast their health wont go to zero.
Im currently at work so I don't know all the effects of my gauss shotgun but I have an anti armor. I'm excited for this to get patched on the xbox
Bought pepper shaker plans for under 10k. Can't wait to mess with legendary perks and make it a perfect roll
when it comes to rolling it might be an idea to wait and see when the patch goes live.
@DadPlaysStuff yeah, I'm low on scripts atm too. Was trying for full set if unyielding and fixer rolls. Both didn't go so well

yeah "segmented health bars" is the one im using :)
Only problem is it gets stuck in a semi charge mode and you can't run/reload/stimpak..you have to fire it again or put it away to get it unstuck.
Other than that it's my go to gun.

essentially the damage for shotguns dropped off alot closer than they intended it to so its Not so much a buff as fixing a bugg.
As a Gauss shotgun main, I like the fact that nobody plays it, i hope it stays like that
