    My father has Knees Osteoarthritis for a few years. We had reached to a stage where pain killers were not helpful. He watched these tips and started doing these exercises. It worked for him amazingly. He is back to normal functioning. He stopped doing exercising at one stage but had to start as developed pain again. Thank you very much for solving this issue for my Dad and for me as well as he was constantly looking for help and medical advice. God bless you.

      I know I’m a year late, but I was wondering how long your father did each exercise for, and how many reps he did.
      My dad works really long hours standing straight for way too long - even though he’s old, so I give messages to help relieve pain he gets from working like that every day. But you say these stretches really work, so I’d like to try them on him too!

    Thank you Dr. Jo. I have been wanting to try these exercises for a while and I finally did this morning and they are great. I attend a spin class 3x a week and I am beginning to experience knee pain in my right knee. I just read other comments and I see these exercises should be done daily. I will keep you posted on my progress.

    I strained my knee on a Friday from squats in the gym. Did all these exercises 3 times a day for 30 reps and the stretches once a day. Got great relief after the third day...and a week later I was back in the gym. I hated doing them, but the motivation was either be back in the gym in a week, or be out of the gym for a month.

      I’ve strained my knee doing too many squats and lunges over the months, 6 days a week mostly, as part of my HiiT and strength workouts. It’s so frustrating. As well as doing these knee exercises, did you do any like upper body or abs exercises too? I’m trying to but wondered if I should be completely avoiding all exercise/workouts as I might prolong recovery (apart from knee exercises) 🤔 😔

    This is the third time in 5 years I've visited your site for help, so I finally got around to sending a DONATION! What's invaluable is the way you explain things so clearly...the first time, I had seen a PT here in town for the diagnosis, and they hadn't been as specific as you are so their instruction actually made me worse because my posture wasn't correct.     Thank you Dr Jo for this very useful video. I've had severe widespread arthritis for years and had a total knee replacement 5 years ago. I'm retired and have other health issues as well so though my knee is a great success I have little strength and poor balance no stamina... At 60 I thought that's just my lot but now I think with the help of your videos I could improve my physical and mental health gradually whilst accepting my limitations...I don't expect to be 16 again but just stronger and more able to cope day to day with life and be as independent as I can. God bless you from vera in Northern Ireland. PS love your t-shirt! My lovely Snoopy..large black and white Springer spaniel died on April 20th this year just two days before his eighth birthday in a seizure and I miss him dreadfully...a very loving and special friend.

    Great video thank you! Very informative and easy to follow. I didn't realize how connected my hip strength was with my knee stabilization doing these exercises I really feel the tenderness in my hip muscles that was previously overshadowed by my knee pain. I plan to do these exercises everyday to strengthen up and hopefully prevent my lame knee from dislocating anymore.

    I have flat feet and I hurt my knees in the gym and they hurt when I go up the stairs also they make an awfulsound when I straighten them . Can I use all these exercises.

    These are great exercises to strengthen knees, before you get knee pain. Strengthening the muscles around the knees are the best way to bullet proof your knees!

    I been getting knee pain for a while but goes on and off. Recently is becoming more of a problem but with this whole pandemic I cannot go see a Dr. been watching your videos and stretching in the morning. Thank you , it has been very helpful to get me started doing something about it before seeing a specialist.

    Thank you for all of this informative advice! I want to walk the Camino Santiago in a couple of years and so I’m starting my training now. I am 58 years old and in pretty good shape but I have some knee injuries. I plan on doing the entire pilgrimage when I start out and so hopefully my body will be prepared❣️🙏🏼🥰
