      @@THELTX427VA I agree, my favorite type of cab is an extended cab, but my close 2nd is easily a simple, 4wd single cab truck

    I'm glad that Toyota isn't forcing the idea of an Electric Tacoma on us like Ford and Chevy are with the Silverado, and Lightning, Now I'm not a Toyota guy, but I can appreciate A Tacoma having twice the amount of miles of a Silverado, and an F-150 combined and still run fine,

      Same here, I’m not a fan of Japanese pickups compared to American ones, but idk lately at least the Taco and the Frontier seem to be finally good when compared to their American competition

    The Prerunner actually made it into the second gen as well, I believe they only axed it after 2015 because they wanted to simplify their lineup with the incoming 3rd gen. There also wasn’t any need for it anymore, the purpose it served in the 2nd gen trucks was the ability to have a V6 truck (which had to be a 6-lug model rather than the base 5-lug) without paying for the 4wd system the 6-lugs usually came with. In the 3rd gens you could just option the SR with a V6 and no 4wd and they got rid of the 5lug trucks

    Pretty cool that they made the manual an option again. I was looking at a 2020 model a few years ago and only the 4cyl came in manual and none were available. So i gave up on owning one because I refuse to buy an auto.

    I also really like the new taco as my dad owns a 2023 trd model. Its pretty amazing and does 0-60 in an astonishing 5.5 seconds without traction control.

      thats REALLY quick for a pickup, especially one thats meant for traditional offroading, and not neccesarily high speed offroading, sick stuff!

      @@Jerseygarage There's a GR-S model with beefier suspension and a gasoline V6, developed and manufactured in Argentina. It's definitely an improvement over past iterations that were basically a tough-looking bodykit and stickers.

    • @Jerseygarage
      @Jerseygarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would, but OBJECTIVELY its a pretty good truck, its got a nice diesel option, and gas options are pretty good too, I just hold a personal hatred because it looks so disgusting and IMO is a cheap cash grab.
      I'll look into making a video about it tho!

    Yes and no… on the reliability side the 2.4L turbo is disposable. Whereas the v6s are much more reliable. That’s what drives me away from buying one..

    • @Jerseygarage
      @Jerseygarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      The biggest thing driving me away from owning one is the price, but if I were to stumble upon 60 grand lying in the woods I think even then I would wait a couple years to see how good these trucks really are, historically even the most reliable cars have a few kinks to iron out before they reach 100%.
      So, only time will tell, but I am still super excited to see
