Naw, we all respond differently. Some folks might be camera shy. others are more stoic like my dad was. I don't jump up and down for joy when my rig is fixed by a professional (actually, sometimes I do). You can tell that Mat knows that folks are grateful when he shows up. I've noticed a lot of time you see relief when mat gets there. They're in a bad situation that's stressful and a lot of time scary. When you see a professional show up with a smile on their face, it feels like a heavy weight has just been lifted off your chest. So don't judge folks just because they aren't acting like a dog getting a treat from his person and pissing himself.

@@mikeblair2594Yeah. I'd most likely look like most of the guys on here, not really responding excited or not, but that's just how my mind works. (Unless I'm excited to meet Matt and the crew, that is!) I would certainly appreciate but as a kid never really learned how to articulate the feeling. I can say the words, but like you say, not everyone is going to give off the usual tonal or facial indicators.

He's lucky he landed on one cheek. Could've easily landed evenly and then crushed his tailbone and spent the next 5 years trying to get back to 40% mobility. Landing on one cheek is what they teach you in paratrooping school. Big muscle, and muscle repairs itself. Tailbones don't and they hold your nerves.

From my old skating days, we called it a"digger". Not sure how the name came about but if both cheeks land at the same time, with your legs open, it provides you with a wonderful ripping sensation. Be glad it wasn't a"full digger". Above all, nobody was forced to do the "death stroke", a play on swimming terms which represents flying through the air and off balance just before crashing back to the ground.

The group I was with were able to get me out using winches and one person hanging onto the side of my Jeep (I couldn't get out or the movement would have resulted in my Jeep rolling over). Matts team did a great recovery, a recovery that is much more difficult then what the camera shows. From personal professional opinion, these kind of recoveries should only be done by proven professionals in this field. Just because you have a winch or a wrecker doesn't make you a professional recovery operator. I have seen too many hobbyist and tow operator mess up.
There have been many times different police agencies calls me to assist or to take over failed recovery attempts by other "professional tow ops". Matts team has earned this customers trust to recover his truck. The outcome was as expected, a satisfied customer because of a great recovery.

Agreeance is a word, it apparently goes all the way back to the 16th century. It just became obsolete and replaced by the word agreement.
