the us' biggest mistake is betting on full EVs. Plugin hybrids are such a good solution. I drove a Peugeot plugin crossover SUV for a month in europe, it is amazing, very sporty with no range anxiety, can't charge no problem. Enough e power for local commuting but once you run out of battery the fuel engine kicks in. and in xtra sports mode you can have both firing at the same time but to be honest it is sporty enough in regular mode.
you know when some times people say best of both worlds yeah hybrid are the opposite it just pollutes more than an combustion and electric that just kills the entire point

However, competition caught up and the issues with the company and its products became (very) apparent, many of which are mentioned in the video. When you feel too comfortable at the lead, sooner or later you get smoked, left in the past.
It’s the exact issue, the only things that made them unique, electrification, and a big screen, well now literally EVERYONE has it, so now people start to notice the issues of them catching fire and panel gap/build quality issues.
Solution to tesla , at least have a control for the climate and gear selecter. Make more interesting interior. Fix build quality to be like the germans or even the japenese. Better handling. Remove yoke.And also no delays for roadster , semi , and cybertruck.
I'll take a new Prius over a Tesla 3 any day of the week because it looks good, is made of quality interior materials and won't won't burn down my garage.
I LOVE the way the new Prius looks, one of my favorite new cars of this year overall! And, if rumors are to be believed, Toyota is developing a GR Prius, with the Yaris/Corolla 3 cylinder and a battery pack, and AWD, if that’s the case then screw markups I’ll pay whatever it takes

@@james_chatman exactly, Tesla has already been sued by multiple people because they label it as autopilot, but LEGALLY it’s listed as a driver assist, and if it detects a crash is imminent it will disengage a split second before impact, so legally speaking, Tesla cannot be blamed. Very scummy
I don't mind rivian and others but tesla is problably the worst besides im all for compact evs however im not so much a fan of suvs like the ex90 honestly the r1s should be the weight and lenght limit of those kinds of vehicles
If it wasn’t such a beast I would be a fan of that Hummer EV, I used to drive a Ram 2500 Cummins, and that Hummer is too massive both in weight and literal size.

Bro I just got to tell you I disagree with almost everything you've said. I'm not a fan boy for Tesla I'm just a unbiased consumer that wants the best. There is not other vehicle I'd rather own after having new BMWs, Camaros, mustangs and other economy cars. My Tesla rides better than my new BMW is vastly more realiblbe and is so much quicker and faster with so much more tech. I had a flat the other day and had to go back to ourbgas corral and wow did it feel so antiquated, it's crazy to think I used to think the BMWs and Mercades I've owned were supposed to be luxury when it has this obnoxious engine making all this noise with a transmission that makes it feel so unsmooth and riqity and old. Man that is not luxury at all and its alow and expensive as hell.
for a daily, they are good cars for people who live with the necessary infrastructure. For an enthusiast vehicle, or project car, I don't think it gets much worse. For the price point, there are so many better options. They ride smooth and are quiet sure, but the reality is is that most enthusiasts want loud, they want a manual transmission, they want all these things, and it doesn't get any more opposite than a Tesla. That and the fanbase is just the absolute worst

My performance Tesla will smoke a Lamborghini with my two baby seats in the back and its practically free to drive for me with Utahs 11 cents per kilowatt charge rate. The cars absolutely amazing and it sounds amazing too. It's sounds like a digital space ship as best as u can describe it and that's just the natural sound of the car. I used to be just like you and like many back in the day thought horsers were better than cars.
I dont think that the trim of a Mercedes and BMW start falling of after a few weeks, or that they deliver cars in questionable conditions. Plus you forgot that bmw and Mercedes both have electric vehicles that are more luxurious, they might not have the best 0-60 but they are better in terms of luxury.
In a straight line, no other gas daily car will come close to beating a Tesla Around a track or for modification tho, the list of cars that are better than even a model s plaid is a long one

Yeah I don't know why plug-in hybrids get dumped on. They are honestly the best all-around EVs on the road. And the Prius is sexy now.
