The GTD, oh boy how much do i love this thing 😍 I saw this thing in person at the Detroit autoshow, and boy I needed a change of pants after that As for the normal mustang, I plan to buy a GT in early 2026!
I have yet to see the GTD, I’m hoping they bring it to the NY auto show. And I hope you get your hands on one I know the GTs and Dark Horses are hard to come by, good luck!
saw the gtd at Lemans too, i found it really refreshing in a way to see a race car mustang as i played a lot of gran turismo with the mustang gt3. theres also the kind of wide-body thing it has that really pulls me to it when i was there in the "tent" and also the paint job they did and that amazing carbon fiber
First off, that’s awesome that you went to LeMans, that’s definitely on the bucket list for me eventually. And I totally agree, the low down, widebody look of the GTD paired with that massive rear wing does somethin for me, if I had 300k burning a hole in my pocket, I’d go pick one up 100%
Best thing Ford has done for the Mustang line is letting it take that sports car route finally. (Giving crazy variants) Next gen just needs a lighter chassis.
While I will miss some of the older solid axle mustangs like the terminator, the GT500, and boss 302 LS, and more, I totally agree. In todays day and age, Ford needed to if they wanted any hope of competing against other performance cars, and personally, I think they absolutely nailed it. The new mustangs have been fantastic cars. (Albeit like you mentioned, a tad bit heavy)
it was cool, but I think a 300k, road legal supercharged gt3 mustang is about as cool as it gets. But trust me, I get it. Its cool, but it would be MUCH cooler if Ford made something a little more attainable for the masses...
The reason why Ford didn’t go overboard on the 🐎Horse is the Cobra or 350 is in the works for 25-26 @Stangmode has some connections and made a video on it..plus the GTD is basically a race car 🏎️ and will be very limited unit wise even w/ 200k plus in the bank..the reason why Dodge free paper is burnt (how the saying goes) is they chose to max and get fat with the hemi and burnout out all the prior years w/o an electric car to be ready in 2030 and meet compliance as Ford has the Mach E ready so now with Dodge the chickens came home to roost💯
they are replacing the Camaro with a 4 door EV sedan and brought back the blazer as the most lame crossover ever, and they are baffled as to why they are having trouble competing with Ford, and other overseas competitors
Appreciate it dude! And I was always more of a Challenger fan growing up, but nowadays beggars can’t be choosers, so I’ve recently become a pretty big mustang fan.
Great video as usual but I must say that the greatest mustang ever made has to be the 2010 Shelby GT500 Super-Snake. It had 750hp, a six speed transmission was available and it could hit a top speed of over 206mph ! If that's not cool, I don't know what is ! Cheers !
I totally agree with you, the S197 GT500s were some of the best looking, best sounding, and overall coolest mustangs ever made. I just love the way they look, they look fast but beefy in an American muscle type of way. Only mustang that’s cooler IMO is the GT350R
that would be a seriously cool fight on track. I will say tho, that Garage 56 Camaro DEMOLISHED the GT3 cars on track, I'd guess it would probably do the same to the GTD, but then again, the GTD has A LOT more horsepower, so it's anyone's guess
I’m pretty sure they have a full new range of mustang for every series ford races in. I know they have new NASCAR, V8 Supercars, GT3 and GT4 cars out now. I know they’ve done promo videos with their new Cobra Jet and Promod cars, but I’m not sure if they are out racing them yet.
They said it already that it’s around 4200-4300lbs that’s alot heavier than a gt500 cftp and it mostly aluminum chassis you could def shed a 400lbs off a Shelby, for 300k gtd should be around 3500lbs
It’s similar to the new M2 in that way, they are both some pretty beefy boys. Little over 2 tons of race car is pretty hefty, but I’m guessing that it probably has to do with creature comforts like using leather and having a massive infotainment. Not to mention Mustangs have never really been known as light and nimble. I trust Multimatic and Ford tho if I’m honest. I’m not really a ford fanboy, but if anyone can make a crazy road legal race car, it’s ford and multimatic
What do you think? Is this peak Mustang, or is there more to come soon?

I agree, crazy to see a mainstream auto manufacturer bring out something as wild as this in today's age.
especially with EPA regulations castrating V8s in the U.S., its a miracle a supercharged, 800hp car can even exist, let alone exist AND be this cool

The Mustang has always been cool. Making a near unobtainable 300k GT car did not change that

finnaly the perfect video to watch whilst eating dinner
Mustang getting it done Ford power forever baby Chevy killer the best never rest they just keep getting better
wym, the mustang has always been cool 😎
It used to be like 6 or 7/10, but now it’s EASILY a solid 10/10
funny how Chevy doesn’t go as crazy as ford and they wonder why they have worse sales
they are replacing the Camaro with a 4 door EV sedan and brought back the blazer as the most lame crossover ever, and they are baffled as to why they are having trouble competing with Ford, and other overseas competitors
@@Jerseygarage just shows how soulless the crossover and EV trend has made companies.
Awesome video, been a long time mustang fan and I'm super excited fro the future

@@Jerseygarage True! glad Ford isn't giving up on the V8!!

I'd love to see how this and the garage 56 Camaro stack up against each other.
that would be a seriously cool fight on track.

One of the fastest growing channels I've seen. Stay on the rise
I’m working on it, I should be back for good this time!
I wana asume they come out with the new cobra jet or new promod bodies

@Jerseygarage its iffy with the promod bodies saying how its most likley made third hand instead of by ford themselfs. But either way im not worried
Oh thank God, you didn't say Ford did a Mitsubishi with the Mustang. Everyone does, but how do you explain the GTD?
My thoughts EXACTLY
They said it already that it’s around 4200-4300lbs that’s alot heavier than a gt500 cftp and it mostly aluminum chassis you could def shed a 400lbs off a Shelby, for 300k gtd should be around 3500lbs

will it protect me from going 90 towards a tree on a late night or will i die
No buddy. The only things to help that is either a gambling addiction or a big titty goth gf. Thems the rules
Funny how at the 24h daytona it was falling apart like a true ford
Yeah that’s pretty typical growing pains, it’s just Fords growing pains tend to last WAY longer than other manufacturers
I love it alot but i thought it was rear mid engine😢😢😢😢
That would have been super cool, but unfortunately it isn’t :/
But it’s not a ford
I mean technically it’s a multimatic, but by that logic, so is the GT, and a ton of other race cars
Personally, I don’t considered a Ford GT A true Ford either. 4 literally has nothing to do with these two cars. They don’t even design them
Bad language doesn't add anything good to this video.
While I will admit I am nowhere near a quality content creator, bad language is funny, and there isn’t much up for debate on that
