Hindsight, I know the feeling of entering something mentally unprepared/rushed. I have a co2 float that I keep on my weight belt for either myself or my stuff. I’ve tagged a spear gun to it a couple times just so I can drop it for a retrieve, I’ve never had 20M+ retrieve so that’s a plus I guess. I will say dropping the weight belt sucks. It’s a good thing they aren’t terribly expensive but man it sure feels like throwing money away. Also I’ve used my co2 float to float a spear to the surface with a fish, I have been tangled in some wreckage and floated my spear and fish so that I could clean up my line and not get entangled in future dives.
My favorite part is how you didn’t even come close to dying but still put how you almost died in the title. This event didn’t need a second video at all.
This long form content is easily my favorite I've seen from your channel, if you were able to get full days of spear fishing I would go nuts, seeing what it's like down there is so thrilling. I love the content, please keep it up! Bonus: What's your favorite shark?
I'm terrified of the sea I faced that fear so many time did everything I could do but I'm still terrified so you don't understand how much I respect this man to just casually finishing in the middle of no were
Building up how dangerous going out 60 miles from shore is kind of funny when you think about the fact that people cross the Atlantic Ocean in rowing shells To be fair they use satellite phones and have people making sure they are okay Edit: look up Talisker Whisky race
Do the Wim Hof breathing exercises and you will be amazed. When i started spear fishing i wasn't able to hold my breath for more than like 40 seconds. Now i can do 3 minutes while spearfishing and over 5 minutes when meditating.
im so glad you did a full length vid on this one, and a good thing you have alert dive buddies. it would've sucked if you'd had to ditch the fish as well
That was lots of fun, can see the new editing stuff is paying off. That was a big trip for a rainbow runner, lucky the current wasn't running. Glad you are OK, and diving with good divers who backed you up! Cheers for sharing the fun, Dive Safe. PS, How long were you sleeping with the Dog after eating your Ms's sushi LOL!!
And he’s not just a short form creator! Liked this one a lot nicely done. Transition to more long form we will all watch! Maybe when the world returns to normal I’ll come over there and we can work on your diving...😜
Dude I LOVE your videos. Absolutely my favorite shorts on TH-cam. And I have to say, this long form content is pretty amazing! You’ve gotten seriously good with your videos!
I speared a big amberjack at the Tenneco oil rig in the gulf off Pensacola and was at about 110 feet when I speared it. Within just a few seconds that sucker pulled me down to 147 feet. That was a trip and I had some extra decompressing to do. To top it off, the spear pulled through his body and it got away and probably died.
Bro maybe next time you can consider, next time your line get entangle and its beyond your assigned depth alarm, what you can do maybe is to pull up the line of the bamboo raft a few meters because i believe they have some slacks to compensate with the tides and currents, just a thought bro!
funny is i bet i could find it, my first shot in the dark it would be close to -7.54 and in only giving a slim desricption of the cords to help keep it a secret
I think my favorite part of the video was
"A big rainbow runner"
"OH!!"
"Tangled around at 25 meters"
"oh.."
ong that interaction was so funny
It went from 100% to 0% real quick

yeah that was good
Lol

Yep he's definitely a real fisherman, no fisherman tells about his spots
You can see past the blur at the end but I don’t think he even showed the right one under the blur
@@hiyavideos7050 i hope not honestly

@FULL DOUBLE cuz yo fishing spot is wack🗿
You should carry two of those diving knives. I would hate to see you get yourself tangled at 80 feet and accidentally drop your knife
That is horifying
Ah, so I'm not sleeping tonight now
The knife wont just start to free fall its under water
@@harshpandey1425 no but you are allready panicking you might still not catch it and you are wasting air, it MIGHT be faster to get your 2 knife

loaded a 16mm Arri Flex camera while stressed and sad ..... film got fucked in the camera
This shows the importance of having a good spearfishing partner, he saw you were in need of help and came to help.
I appreciate the shorts but
Longer vids every now and then are the best
Me when I go swimming: “I ALSO almost drowned in the process.”
You can‘t dive 85 meters

Maybe place some orange construction fencing below the rafts & on the anchor line for a better, more secure small fish breeding habitat.
