I'd honestly watch an hour long video of you hunting the tiniest fish you could find! I just enjoy your honesty. As long as you keeo it transparent to a degree, like talking about bad fishing days, not catching etc, and remember your roots, you're gonna be fine hunting whatever you want!
And tbh, while it's wonderful to fantasise about freediving 10 minutes up to 200 feet catching fish, and that'd be incredibly interesting, though I'd really imagine that would be at the far far end of even the most adapted people with a 50+% bigger spleen!
That's all good and stuff, but I imagine it's firstly incredibly hard to do or even come close to, and it's nowhere near realistic, at all. I love seeing people do things they've gotten good at. Diving to 80 or 100 feet, spearfishing and holding your breath for 120 to 150 seconds while active is actually a superhuman feat in comparison to what normal people can do! It would take me years and years of training to even get close to as good as this Ape is, and as I'm likely never in a position where I want to, can or have time to, it is wonderful to get an insight into something unachievable! Besides, I just find diving overall in all forms fascinating!
As a scuba diver, I know the feeling of chasing that next high… but that’s the beauty of the ocean, always bringing out surprises.

Breakaway systems always word better against those huge fish that require dyneema and not fishing line.
When the Dyneema fills with water it expands and gets loose...increasing the possibilities of it getting tangled up on the muzzle!

No doubt his storytelling is top notch eventho he reuse clips most the time, but dude need to control his urge to shoot. He had trigger discipline when holding the bigger gun, but can't resist himself when on the smaller one. Can't be aiming for bigger pelagics on a reel gun. It's not that it's not possible, it's just too risky. One might regret the decision, be it loosing the gun, or one's life.
i was born and raised on a probably we can say a fisherman community in Indonesia and this is one of the wildest, amazing edited, story telling videos about the ocean can bring. what an amazing videos man this makes my day

Out here in utah ive olney got one yearling rough grouse and a respiratory infection so far.
In my entire life ive never had a year this slow. However on November 1st pheasant/waterfowl season starts.
With a ton of water and a late winter this year its probably going to be pretty good for waterfowl.
I know that upland game hunting is not the same but the idea behind it is extremely similar. I know those feelings of bigger and bader you speak of so very well. I really respect how you catch fish, it is the most ethical.

I use floats with my reel gun, means I can let go of the gun, and in the blue water allows the Skipper to keep an eye on me, esp in current. Safety wise, something to consider or maybe think of a belt reel back up to stay safe esp Muzzle wrap. Awesome video, loved the adventure and editing Leon, Dive safe, have fun! 👌👍🤿😲

Amazingly informative video! Love the bit about free diving and it’s crazy to think the record for men’s is 512 feet or about 156 meters deep for free diving and 427 feet or about 130 meters for women! Keep in mind every 30 feet or 10.06 meters the pressure in your lungs increases by one atmosphere meaning the air in your lungs increases by 18th surface atmospheric pressure every 30 feet. So the guy who made the records lungs were at about 17.3 x Surface atmospheric pressure.

I've dived in Andaman sea and I saw some cool things. Couple of sharks, beautiful schools of fishes, but what was the most amazing sight was yellowfin tunas!
Everything else was just idly swimming about, but the tunas were like on crack!
