Andre is a legend, I love what he does, he is the speargun whisper! Heads up on shooting mackies - I may have shot one or two. 1st point - Don't shoot them at 90 deg, hit them at a 60 deg angle and aim at that dark line - it is close to the spine. 2nd if in doubt aim to hit them between the dorsal fin and the anal fin mid centre - there is heaps of bones there that will help your flopper 4:35 is a great example! 3rd use a double flopper head either off set or side by side. 4th as opnion, avoid the slip tips as they will tear through and out of mackerel lots of times compared to a double flopper. Slip tips are for fish that will bend your spear into a pretzel eg Big GT's, Tuna, Wahoo, YT Kingies, etc, They are cool on the small ones, but once you hit the 20+Kg's you are playing in a different league FWIW! Love the video, make some Moroccan Mackerel btw it will blow your mind! Happy new year, Dive Safe!
Thanks for the spearfishing vid and humour. I’m a locked up Aussie wanting to get back to Indo ASAP for some spearfishing. Looking forward to it and was wondering what Lombok and Flores are like.
A A. Thx again. Very entertaining. I can feel how happy you are. I lived in Ubud for 10 years, covid sent me back to US. Sure was great, diving Bali, lombok, Gili air, komodo, raja ampat, etc. Have you noticed accidents in Bali? Bali is dangerous! Motorbikes sure, surfing waves much more powerful, no rescue for climbers, poor medicine available, and diving too. Did you hear about that dive accident recently Malaysia, drifted away on surface. That happened in penida too where 9 Japanese women drifted to death when boat ran out of gas. Raja ampat too. Happened to me in komodo. Need to know you are really on your own ! In fact there is no awareness of safety. I began watching out for everybody and quit large groups I didn't know. Just saying, I know you are loving it, so be careful.
in finland we have even more darker water, when i was young i was diving a lot and was in a water polo team. always wanted to go spear fishing but its kinda hopeless in finland, some do tho big pikes mostly for what im told green fish in green or black/brown water
Interesting, I also fish for mackerel in very sandy murky water but I've never thought of standing while underneath the water. Is that even comfortable?
Makes no sense that u have to blur some parts of video like the one bleeding the fish, we do this for thousands and thousands of years, that shouldn’t be a bad thing, we can actually learn from it… the world is crazy nowadays
@@ben_dover33 Sushi doesn't automatically equal raw fish, you're thinking of sashimi. And sashimi isn't *just* raw fish like they're eating, basic boy. Either way, it's of questionable safety to eat raw fish from that polluted water. Though it's generally safe to eat raw fish and red meats from wild caught, fresh kills.
*murcury content* and depends on the species and size. Some tuna is inedible because of how much murcury is in it. Not a professional tho so ask a professional. Thats just my advice.
Bro we need to meet up for a dive one day!
Collab!
Collab with the addicted fishing guys!!!
Collab😍
yesss
That’s that hurt. Homeboy ignored you like yesterdays trash 🥴
Great camera work!
Love the imagery of your...
Dog!
I respect the grind dude. And the fact that you actually enjoy what u do!

@@AquaticApes i like your channel mostly because i like fish and killing things and im know they DO feel pain so stabing them is more fun :)
I don’t think you actually understand the concept of 90 degrees or 60 degrees lol
I stayed in an deserted island in Indonesia for 1 day once we had a boat and we camped it was so fun
We need more! Awesome videos!

I agree 100%
I’ve had raw Mackerel and it is 100x better than cooked mackerel
So much nicer raw
Yup raw and unprotected is what I like
No one's there to prevent you from eating them
Hopefully theres no salmonella!
@@akemz7777 just make sure to keep eating till it’s juicy and sweet
i've eaten it and agree
I respect this man so much. He hunts to eat, kills humanely, and is really good at what he does.
Mackerel truly is incredible. I’ve not had it very often except at sushi restaurants but my gosh is it my favorite sashimi.
Dude your videos makes me want to learn spear fishing and plus its in bali which is very near to me.
I love your videos man keep it up👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It's early 2022 and that's the best end footage we are going to see all year.
I'd actually prefer this guy's videos more than his shorts videos
these videos are so good and spearfishing is so fascinating
Man I'll come to Bali and I will find u. You are so inspiring
stumbled on your channel and have been binging it ever since! Great stuff! And now I got the itch again to get back into spearfishing!
I come from Germany and i must say its a dream to life and fish in bali
Better go to an empty island, and go fishing there like what youtuber survival beast do. There is over 17.000 island in Indonesia, Bali is overated
I have been waiting for a new video for weekssssss ! And you didn't disappoint!
Glad to see you back, love the content.
The return of the king !

I love your videos bro been hear since day one
Love the content and the video but now I have a question: are there any downsides to slip tips (except maybe the cost) over a normal tip?
5:41🤨
Very enjoyable video you should do more like this one

dayum at 2:16 i instantly recognize it as kuta such a rare sight to see indonesian things on yt.
Wait I didn’t know they got so big I’ve only seen them like a foot long
This is making me hungry
It is so sad that you are forced to blur out some parts of the video. Frick YT some times.

2:06 great view
Love the content bro!!
I love your videos 👍👍❤️❤️
If u hadn't seen a reef as beautiful as that then you have not been to BELIZE my friend.... u should come check it out 😊
cool king mackerel!
Tried to fried them in butter with garlic and put a little scallions (medium rare)
These mackerel are called Spanish mackerel and are very common around Australia
Yeah, pretty sure they call them king mackeral in the US, their version of a spanish is a lot smaller.
@@Bandito071 Yes we call them king mackeral, our Spanish mackeral are actually pretty small.
Wah gwaan fam

i know what sushi is idiot. also i mean just eating plain. raw. fish. just concerned abt like- health and you can gat parasites.
