Just picked up an S9-128 "refurb" on eBay for $499. I'll be sending back my S9FE. It's a fine device, but there's no comparing the 2, especially in the display & performance realms, for not much more than I paid for the FE. Got 6.1 update on mine the day I got it out of the box.
Hey, sensational deal. And a great job finding it. Open box and refurbished items are the way to go if you find them within a year of release. Great work.
@@AndroidDigest agree. I've had good luck so far from open box & refurb items from reputable sellers on both eBay & Amazon. This Tab S9 even came with a 1yr Warranty. As happy as I was with the S9FE-256, I couldn't help myself for the price. Lost some capacity, but I'll take the better screen & snappy performance. Great video. Cheers.
@J.Wick. I was going for the s8plus too. Had the S7 FE wanted to up to the s7plus for more power but the amazon refurbished I got was overheating and had weird lines of color in between a color and white so I have to return that
Watching on my s9+ 512g.......adore it. Might trade it to for the ultra as i got the A9+ 8G for travel. The glare is there. Speakers are phenomenal. Screen you re fall in love with Daily
You're dead on. I don't think you're missing a lot with the Ultra. Just a little bit of a better screen size. But if that's something you want. I wouldn't blame you. It's a tremendous device
@@AndroidDigest The S9+ is very expensive (i.e. you clearly could afford it), if you are considering the S9 Ultra after a relatively recent S9 launch, why on earth didn't you get the Ultra in the 1st place? ;)
I'm on the fence about the plus vs the ultra... If you had to have one, what size do you think is most functional for couch use, multi tasking, note taking, emails, very light video editing?
Thanks so much. I've got a lot more coming. I plan to give updated reviews on all the Galaxy tabs and I plan to release an accessory video soon. I also will be reviewing the S6 lite 2024.
thanks man! I'm a user of TAB 9+ and i'm truly happy with it to the extent that i sold all my laptops for it + I'm a content creator so Luma IS GREAT FOR ME
Awesome! What's great about Luma: any issues I have, they typically take my feedback and use it to improve the app. A year and a half ago I tried it when it first launched, had MAJOR issues from the beginning. Their support asked for project files, I gave it to them, and they claimed they fixed my issue, which is great. A year later, I had different issues, and once again, their support took my stuff, literally 3 months later they message me saying the new app version fixed those issues, so apparently they take feedback. And I've seen great improvements with the app over time.
I got one today - the 512G storage, S9+ for $347.00 with the trade in of my IPad Pro 5th generation and military discount! It will be here Friday. Can’t wait.
This powerhouse tablet's got a display so smooth it's like a portal to a new dimension. The S Pen feels like a magic wand in my hand, letting me write, draw, and take notes with unmatched precision. Plus, the battery life is a beast, lasting from sunrise to way past sunset. The only downside? With a screen this gorgeous, I might just get hypnotized. But hey, that's a risk I'm willing to take. But to protect that I had to invest in a gadgetshieldz screen and body protection film and it's serving. I would wife up this one if I could
Also, one thing i wanted to point out that I had not pointed out before; your beard is FANTASTIC! Please do a review on Dexnor Tab S9 Ultra, AND your gorgeous beard❤
Thank you so much! I actually plan to cover it. So I'm going to do an official review of this keyboard case (non sponsored) and I'm going to cover a lot of accessories for the S9 Plus in another video. I plan to do the same for the S9 Ultra, and cover the Dexnor, at another point. So many videos to do, I do one a week, I've got the S6 Lite 2024 coming, So bear with me, it will come eventually
I've been using a Tab S7+ for university. Dex with the keyboard and trackpad case is a godsend and I used the S pen way more than I thought I would. As big as it is for a tablet it's great for games and TH-cam, Samsung nailed the display and speakers. Really thinking about upgrading either this gen or next though now that it's getting reduced software support.
Yeah, it's a good time to do it now or later. If you do it now, you're going to get some of the better sales you can get. They won't go too much cheaper. Or you wait and try to get a slightly better processor, but it may not release until next year. Maybe in March or something.
@@AndroidDigest Got a pretty good deal on an S9+ thanks to Best Buy price matching. Only having 6 gigs of RAM was starting to choke my S7+ with high res photo editing and some extremely demanding games. AI features are less than worthless to me, in fact I'd consider many of them straight up invasive. Sole exception being circle to search which is the greatest feature ever that every other OS should copy ASAP.
I'm seeing that a lot. Ironically, I've been using the S8 Ultra recently and on one end I'm completely blown away and it's so amazing to have this large screen for all types of stuff. But then when I go to lug it around I'm reminded of the pain that it can be. I've also been enjoying that Dexnor keyboard cover because it does lift up the tablet for a better ergonomic angle on my neck. And the S8 Ultra or even the S9 Ultra, I think they are so heavy that they weren't able to make a similar case. And it's just so heavy to carry around. It won't even fit in my normal laptop bag. So there are definitely pros and cons to both sides. And that's why I think the plus model ends up fitting the needs of most people in the end
Paid $362 for the 512GB S9+ Beige. Received $500 credit for my S7 FE Tablet and $324 in discounts. I was looking to get the S9 FE+ but for about $150 more i thought this was a better deal.
I'd pick the Tab S9 Plus because it comes WITH the s-pen, assuming you will get a better deal on it because of that. But if the price is very close, both of those will be equally as good, it's all about what operating system you prefer, both are great for reading. And drawing, but iPads require you to buy the pen separately.
The Ultra is amazing. A little bit bigger, some people might think it's too big. But some people won't think it's big enough. But for those people who love it, they really really love it
I Love the S9Plus I just picked one up cause the last one I had was the S7Plus upgrading from the S6Plus at the time and skipped the 8 but now got the 9 so I really Love the Samsung Tablet even though I also have the iPad Pro M2 2TB, I actually mostly use the Samsung one!
Great review mate, cheers. You buy a paperlike screen protector, and you solve the reflective display. Also, the s-pen works better. I recommend it for everyone who owns this tablet.
I bought this tab (brand new, sealed box) for 54k INR (≈650USD) and it was a steal. I have had this tablet for 2 days and I am in love with this device. The thought and care that has been put into the software experience far outweighs its incredible hardware for me which is saying something as the hardware is exceptional. I am a student and the ability to take notes on whim by double tapping the screen with the S Pen and also being able to take notes while the is locked is delightful. The feature that surprised me the most is the adapt sound festure. That has made a huge difference in sound quality and now my earbuds sound incredible. I 100/100 would recommend to anyone thinking about getting a big tablet
I like how open android is. But I actually hate oled because of inevitable burn in. Especially when I plan to use it as second screen and static content. I'm not going to baby 700$+ tablet. iPad pro has no competition if you want 4:3 ips/miniled display.
@@AndroidDigest Sure. But 2022 iPad is still comparable with 2024 samsung tabs and other oled screen tablets. S7 tab series isn't and there are already posts on reddit from people with burned in screens on S7/S8 just after a year.
Would you recommend waiting for the Tab S10 series? Im a button click away from purchasing the s9+ and i dont think the difference between the S9+ and an S10+ will be enough to wait a couple or few months?
Btw. Use my link before you buy. It helps. In exchange I'll keep it real. You're talking about a jump in performance and display tech. They may bump the brightness above 1,000 nits, they may make the screen less reflective, and the processor will have a jump in performance. Here's the other side. The iPad 11" jumped in price to $999. Samsung's 11" S9 retails at $799. Plus it's on sale. Will Samsung raise Tab S10 prices? Maybe. And right now we have insane sales. I think most people can play almost every game on max settings. Almost every game. Unless your editing 4u videos with multiple tracks I doubt the performance bump will mean anything. Even if you miss out on some tech, you're getting it on sale. Hundreds in savings is a big deal. And you get months of use you wouldn't get. Plus the trade in deals are often good anyway so you even have an out clause later. Personally I think the only benefit of waiting may be for used buyers. Buying older units with some battery wear for a discount when old users get rid of them. But good sales are here. I think it depends on who you are. You just have to make a decision and stick to your guns. Don't let a new ad and fomo make you jealous. Almost every new update of the s10 will come to the s9 series. I think it's a great time to buy personally but I get why some would wait
Samsung has great trade in deals. Find one refurbished. I got the S9plus for 670 from best buy in excellent condition. And plan on upgrading to the S10 when it's out
Hey bro, i just subbed and i have a question. Please bare with me. I have a galaxy s24 plus and i want a tablet or pc to pair with it. I am more interested in the tablet for note taking. Is it possible to slide an imagie from my phone to the tab s9 ultra? Another thing is once i get a laptop, does galaxy laptop offer exclusive features? Or will a microsoft do the same shit
Yes you can drag a photo from the S24 to the Tab S9. You get to use all Samsung features like making a call from your tablet and other things. It’s the best option if you want to stick with Samsung.
To be honest I don't know of a way to just slide a photo from the tablet to your phone or vice versa. But you can just quickly press the share button and use quick share. Quick share is a great way to use your tablet or your phone to share with your other devices. This has become a pretty commonplace feature and you don't really need a Samsung device to do it. Samsung does have some extra perks with having all of their devices, but as far as sharing photos, you can just download the Quickshare app on any Windows computer and yes, you will have to download Samsung's app, but it should work on normal Windows computers. And you can use your phone or your tablet, even if it's not a Samsung, Android phones now come with quick share, they worked together with Samsung so that they could use the same technology.
I'd say it's the weak point of the case. Overall, the case is legitimately amazing. And I've got an accessory video coming up soon, and that's when I will give it the full unbiased review. I'll just say that the typing experience is pretty incredible. The travel and the keys is a lot better then Samsung's. I absolutely love the higher angle that it gives you. It's just ergonomically better for my neck because it's lifting the tablet a little bit higher. I love the backlighting on the keys. And if you don't like the touchpad, you can always turn it off. There's two flaws with the trackpad though. One, if you press on the left side of it, it has one click. If you press on the right side, one click. If you press on the middle, it sounds like two or three clicks even though it only registers one click. Secondly, since it's a Bluetooth trackpad, there are less gestures than Samsungs. I don't use gestures a lot. It can still use two fingers to scroll. But I noticed there were less gestures available. Outside of those, if I'm just using it and clicking around, it works great. Obviously some apps aren't used to a mouse or a touchpad. Some apps are thinking about only touch screen. So I would say it's a decent touchpad. But not the greatest. But everything else in the case is so good, I can live with it. Because I can always use another mouse on the side if I want anyway, and you can always disable the touchpad if you really don't like it. And the bottom of the keyboard deck will just give you a nice place to rest your wrists anyway. And if you want it, it does work okay. Hopefully that helps. It is a little heavier too. But that is what gives it that sturdiness and the much better typing experience. Honestly, I'm used to get every day as my main case for my S9 FE Plus and I'm loving it
Great video I have a S9+ myself and love it!! How does this compare to the Logitech mx keys mini? I'm conflicted between buying this one or the Dexnor or purchasing both. I plan to pair them with the Logitech m650 mouse for silent clicking
I guess it depends on what you want in a case. I really love the Dexnor keyboard. The only thing I really don't love about it is the touchpad. But if you turn that off, and you use a mouse anyway. I honestly think it's right there with Mx keys. The travel feels really really good. And the one thing I love, that I didn't think I would love, I just love having the tablet elevated with the case. And being able to tilt it up to get a better angle. It's just a lot better for ergonomics. Since there's another case that I know that gives you that extra angle, I've actually leaned towards using the dexnor. My two favorite combos are the outdoor cover and the MX keys mini, and the dexnor by itself. It's close though. The outdoor cover and the MX keys mini gives you the flexibility to carry around the outdoor cover by itself and use the tablet by itself with the kickstand. There's a real benefit to that for tablet use. On the other hand, I don't know how many times I've just put the dexnor keyboard on the kitchen counter. On my lap. No matter where I seem to use it, when I'm watching entertainment, it's always better to have the tablet lifted up. When it's on my lap, it's better to be lifted up. So those ergonomics are big. And the travel feels great, honestly just as good if not better than the MX keys. So again I lean a little towards that. I absolutely love the outdoor cover+keyboard
@@AndroidDigest Awesome you explanation helped a lot I'm going ahead and purchasing the Dexnor case instead because I travel often, planning on using it for grad school, and love the fact that it's elevated plus leaves a smaller (heavier) footprint lol. Thank you so much!
I have always been an android user, but always said that apple does tablets better and that iPads were superior. UNTIL, I got my S7 Plus and boy how far Samsung tablets have come. It is much more user friendly and can do so much more. Just like their phones it is just more practical and useful.
And then with the S8 series they added more software updates. And now at the S9 series they added water resistance and of course those software updates too. IPads do something better. But a lot of those things are made up for with all the extra stuff like Samsung DeX
It does not change the fact that many applications are just upscaled phone versions. Questionable quality of apps on a platform where you can install unlocked version for free. But samsung tabs are really best android tabs in terms of software.
their tablets have come ALONG way and are much better. I had a 2014 Tablet and a S7 8" tablet. Old UI which was really laggy. I finally bought an A8 when the S7 died and i only bought it as i couldnt justify the premium tablets at the time. The A8 has been great for the price $295 AUD. I only use it for wtching shows, reading and web surfing and for the past 2 years it did fine. Infact having it made me want to eventually get the premium tablet. I finally got my hands on the S9+ 512Gb 5G for $1400 and wow.... I have been using my tablet to pretty much replace my laptop. The DEXNOR keyboard is great! i bought that too based on this guys recommendation.
@@AndroidDigest unfortunately no such sales for us over here in India. Will have to wait for the new series to launch for the price of the S9 to go down. But from your video I can tell that the wait is going to be worth it as the tablet seems really good
I would say yes. There are devices that charge 100 watts or more nowadays, this charging 45 watts isn't going to cause some big issue. It's pretty safe and won't cause great overheating or anything.
Logitech MX Keys Mini. There's two preferred combos for me: The Samsung Outdoor Cover + MX Keys Mini, and the Dexnor Keyboard Cover+ a bluetooth mouse. I love both of those options a lot more than the Samsung keyboard cover.
I wouldn't say it's laggy, but I'm not a fan of the trackpad. I keep it real! I LOVE the keyboard case, but I do prefer to just use a bluetooth mouse instead. Gesture scrolling isn't quite as smooth, not a fan of the smoothness.
Hey, I'm deeply into android and i want to buy a tablet, but the focus is for studying and working on PDFs etc, ive been told that the iPad is the way to go with pencil and optimization etc. What would you recommend? i know that for example good notes isn't worth on android but is there a worthwhile alternative (tried Samsung notes without a pen, and it was a nightmare), id like to hear your opinion
End your situation, just being honest, I would definitely go with something on Android. For me personally, I'm extremely into the Android ecosystem. So I completely understand that the iPad may have a little more power, and a couple more apps, but that doesn't make it better for taking nodes, and it doesn't make it better for someone like you or me. Samsung notes has really good palm rejection. So if you are using the stylus, you can use your finger to go up and down the page, and then draw with the s pen. You can also press the text button and it will immediately switch to typing so you could take notes with the keyboard and then switch to drawing very quickly. The notes also sync on your Samsung account. Personally, I really like the Samsung notes app. But there are alternatives. One note also has palm rejection and will sync with Windows computers. Even if you have to look around for the right app for you, there are plenty of apps out there. So as far as which tablet, it depends. Assuming you want one with a decent size, the S9 FE Plus retails for like $599 but it's been going on sale for about $500 pretty often. And Best Buy has open box deals. That's fast enough for most people. But no amoled screen, and just a little slower. The S9 Plus or S8 Plus (last year's models) are the upgrade beyond that. Both with amoled and better performance. The Ultra models are obviously gigantic. Either way. You will typically get a better value with Android. These Samsung tablets come with the stylus. Cheaper iPads don't have a high refresh rate screen at all, so they will have a worse stylus experience. The higher end iPads like the iPad pros, they will have a high refresh rate screen. But they also don't come with a stylus. So it's typically a worse value. Samsung also offers a lot of discounts and that free s pen is like a $100 value when compared to iPads. Also, Samsung DeX is great on tablets. They have the new DeX and classic dex. Classic Dex is basically a laptop environment and it's a lot nicer on tablets, it's great for productivity. Finally quick share works with all android phones. And works great with tablet to phone and phone to tablet transfers
@@AndroidDigest i really should look into the quick share a bit more, have sevral devices but im usign whatsapp for transfer ..., and yes i decided to just go with a samsung tablet, the plus ultra? os way to big but the one below looks nice, maybe il buy an s8+, thank you!
So I've got to be honest and say I don't do much of any Adobe work myself. I will assume you know this but I'll still say it just in case, they don't have full programs like they typically do on Windows. So you're just getting the Android app. I think there's no doubt that this can run any Android app that Adobe would put out because it's running really one of the best processors that's out right now. But there are some limitations with adobe's apps compared to Windows programs and that's just something to keep in mind. You could check out some of those things by running them on your Android phone and seeing what your Android phone can and can't do, you could even attach a Bluetooth keyboard. Obviously, the screen will be very, very hard to see things on my phone, but the point is, at least you could do some testing to get a good idea for yourself. In the end I believe this can run those apps, but those apps who will also have limitations
I wouldn't say it's jumpy. But I'm not a huge fan of it. Honestly when I use it I prefer to turn off the trackpad and just use a Bluetooth mouse. And then use the palm rest and the trackpad to rest my palms. But it's not super precise even on its best days so I'd much rather use a Bluetooth mouse which is going to be better. I'm going to give a full review soon to the dexnor in another video coming soon, on all Tab S9 plus accessories. But that's essentially where I'm going with it. It's great and almost every way to me except for that trackpad
@@AndroidDigest When I scroll with a finger, silky smooth. When I scroll with the trackpad, objects jump 10mm then 10 mm, etc. Did I get a defective one?
I've been trying out the regular S9 and I like it but its annoying that to use Dex your Home app has to be Samsung's One UI and not another launcher. So much for customization.
I mean that just depends on if you would ever use it. For me, the answer is no. Nearly every smartphone plan in the US comes with hotspot of some kind. I press one button on my phone to turn on hotspot and my tablet will automatically connect to the wifi since it already connected to it once.
Bro I got the S9 Plus for 520 in BBD The thing is If you watch content most of the time the display can't be beat on S9 If display , Pen , expendable storage and content aspect ratio doesn't matter to you then you can go for op2 OnePlus is definitely smoother though and currently more powerful If you gonna use it for very heavy apps like editing and you are a professional then you should actually go for Ipad pro after saving more coz thats the only correct option
S9 Plus is a better buy in my opinion. Better software, comes with the s-pen. I'd recommend the s9 plus. OnePlus Pad 2 has a worse screen. No fingerprint sensor. And no pen in the box (normally)
@@AndroidDigest hope for the best... i am very sad why did not I buy S9 plus variant instead of S9 that I have purchased... my S9 looks very tiny by comparing it side by side... can u please let me know is s9 also good because you have both tablets
This is actually false. I was using footage that I used for a previous video about getting productive. This was before I actually tried the dexnor keyboard cover. Just because I'm sponsored doesn't mean I won't show all the available options. I'm also willing to talk about the weaknesses. The trackpad isn't great, for example. It's just okay. But I highly prefer the typing experience over the Samsung book cover keyboard, and I highly prefer the elevated experience to help my neck, because I do tend to have neck and back pain. So elevating the screen even just a little bit can help a lot. Especially with that angle. I've only had about five sponsorships in my entire TH-cam career, and it's not because I couldn't make more money. The truth is, I only work with brands I believe in. Even though I don't want their touch pads, I really think they make the best keyboard covers available at the best prices for the tablet. There's a reason why I'm covering some $100 Android tablets. It's not just because I found a niche. It's because I'm passionate about what I do. I want to help people genuinely find the best bank for their buck. It's because I've been a normal consumer like everyone else who's trying to find the best Android tablet or Chrome OS tablet or Android phone for the money. So I often review a lot of devices like that. And I looked for accessories like that too. This is just genuinely who I am. Now. I'm using voice texting to make this gigantic comment that won't really do much for me. But I again try to respond to almost every comment I get because I genuinely want to build that connection with my audience. Feel free to comment anytime though and ask questions.
Yeah they've been really slow with that. Only releasing it with the plus. Lately they've released it for some other devices but I hope it comes for the ultra soon
I was at the mall for an iPad Mini 6 last March. Instead, I ended buying the S9+. Samsung device price drops and discounts were too tempting. Now, I’m still looking for ways how to hand hold it properly.
I don't like large tablets I think if you're going to have a large tablet you might as well just get a laptop. I think tablet should stick around 8 to 9 in.
@@AndroidDigest I got it I have to say I picked the right size. The ultra would be way too big there's times even when I think this one's too big. However I looked at the normal one and it looks like it might have been too small.
The word ecosystem is just meant to say how things work together, and how nice things play when trying to use them together. I would disagree with how you use the term, but I do get it, it is a general open standard.
You can, but you won't see the screen very well. The screen will switch to portrait, but the keyboard will remain in the same orientation. What you can do is go into the "advanced features" settings, and go to labs. If an app doesn't work in landscape orientation you can force it to. You can force it to be a small app that fits in the middle of the screen (app default for most apps) or you can force it into full screen, which does blow things up and can make some apps look a little stretched. the point is, you have options.
I'm still unsure between the S9 Plus and the upcoming iPad Pro with OLED screen. because Apple's OLED screen would have double pixels and would therefore be even better than Samsung? I have had an 11 inch iPad Pro for 6 years now... would I dare to go for Samsung? I can work with Android.
It's up to you. Yes the iPad screen will probably be better. But the new tab S10 will probably have a better screen too versus the iPad. Remember Samsung makes the screen in the first place for the iPad. There's always something better around the corner. There's pros and cons to the iPad and to Samsung. It's really up to you as far as what you prefer. I prefer sticking with my phone operating system and having that ecosystem. And I prefer Android. And this is the best we have over here. And I really like it
It was the case to me last year but the task was relatively easy because of the better screen quality of s9+ vs ipad pro 11. But the price matters as well
I’m getting my first Samsung tablet because of how much I’ve come to despise Apple. I own an iPhone and that’s it. I used to own an iPad but it’s literally an oversized iPhone in terms of capability. Everything is so locked down on it. There’s nothing special about “iPadOS.” It’s a complete joke. I can’t emulate games on it, I can’t have a microSD card. Additionally, Apple is going to be charging hundreds of dollars more with their new OLED displays. They’re not innovating anymore. Apple is not worth it.
@@indyjones720 the new ipad pro would be more expensive because the screen would be better and would contain double the pixels, meaning it would have greater brightness than the galaxy tab S series? can we believe that? because I'm thinking of buying the tab s9 plus but I'm afraid I would regret it when the iPad pro comes out?
@@murdockdeechte where are you getting “double the pixels” from? Literally it says that no where. Even in rumors/leaks. And your assumption is that the screen would be better. There’s no proof of that one bit. If it’s like Apple’s failed Mini-LED display that had ghosting and green/black tint ghosting on the edges, I really don’t think it’ll be any better. OLED is OLED. 🤷♂️
Good day. I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra and need some advice. I have created a file with photos and I need to move these photos as needed. I note, in the same file and not between files. Namely, these photos are musical scores that I need to move in this file. I also have an ipad and this is possible. therefore I want to ask you if it is possible. thank you Stanislav
In general, the iPad will be better. But that doesn't mean you should buy it. I'm sure in a lot of ways the new Samsung will be better whenever the new Galaxy Tab releases. But each device that just releases brand new won't have any sales, the iPad won't come with a stylus. And I'm sure you will see a lot of sales even right now if you look for Galaxy Tab sales. Best buy also has open box options. I think for most people, it's just depends on the operating system you prefer to use. If you're in the apple ecosystem already, nothing wrong with getting an iPad. IPads are normally slightly more powerful than Samsung tablets. You wouldn't notice it on almost any application you use anyway, but it is a little extra power. And they are slightly better optimized to work with a couple of apps. Samsung on the other hand does have more customization options, it comes with an s pen, you will probably get a little bit of a better deal on one too and it works a little better with phones in the Android ecosystem. I think the easiest way to make a decision is just finding a top of that works well in your ecosystem, finding a tablet that works well with your phone, so you could share files easily between them. Stuff like that. Hopefully this helps
Agree with your complaints about the reflectiveness and keyboard cover, most annoying! Only reasons stopping me from getting rid of ipad air + magic keyboard, they're better for outdoor/travel. Because of that I think I'm gonna upgrade my Tab S8+ to the Ultra soon, as it lives on my kitchen table, and the bigger display the better!
Hope you enjoy it! The Ultra is great. It's too big for some people, but in your case I think you will love it. I plan to update a review on the S9 Ultra eventually.
Apart from the price, and the difference is likely to be significant, the upcoming iPad Pro will be a much better device than the Galaxy Tab S9 series. The arrival of OLED for iPad will mean one less reason to buy the Galaxy, although miniLED is better in some regards (max brightness, no burn-in risk, etc). The M3 chip will be a major benefit for future-proofing (Apple states the average upgrade cycle of iPads is close to 7 years). Also, the iPad keyboards are much better than those on the Tab S9 line, from backlighting to sturdiness and usability on the lap. As most of my work is office based and involves typing, the Samsung keyboard is frustrating and a deal breaker. Of course, iPads get 2-3 years longer OS support compared to the Tab S9. So, as good as the Galaxy Tab is, and it is great, the iPad is better and although much more expensive; viz 2024 iPads arriving in a few weeks, the current iPad Pros have some good discounts, it remains the truth that the iPad will have at least one more year as the champion tablet. Next year with Oryon chips then the game may change.
I just see it as a different perspective. Most people never get close to the capabilities as far as power. I really think it's up to the operating system people prefer to use. I agree with you though. The iPads will have better screens, but that's how every new release works. Then the Samsung devices will get a better screen when they release. When the new iPads release they also will be a higher price vs on sale Galaxy tabs, and they won't have an s pen. So for that reason I still think it will come down to preference of your operating system, at least for most people. iPads are TREMENDOUS though, and they will only get better, so I won't knock it
@@AndroidDigest: I agree that mobileOS may be more defining than raw ability in some consumer choices. Of course, value is demand-side economics and is significant. But from a purely technical viewpoint, the M-chip iPads will rule for one more year.
I'm from the US. And I also have a family that really needs money. That's why I work hard on all these videos. I don't just get all these devices for free. If you would like to send me something for free, I would be very grateful. Because I have a family with three kids and financially things are tight. So hey. does it work with the Singapore version of the s9 ultra?
Cheers.
Got the 8ultra of best buy for 500$, it's basically new with the box even the wrap on the tablet
@@xanderyusuf7494 nice! Far too large for my needs, but a good find for sure.
@@stevenbarker9841 You already know the answer if you can afford that Ultra ;)

@@AndroidDigest Wonderful my friend.
Can’t wait.
Great deal! Hope you enjoy it!
How are you liking it?
Ty, more Android content!
I love Android content and love Android tablets. I'll keep rolling with it
This powerhouse tablet's got a display so smooth it's like a portal to a new dimension. I would wife up this one if I could
For sure, I love it. I'd say the Plus is always my favorite model
OneUI 6.1 landed in the past hour for me, and I'm in the Southeast Asia region.
I knew it was dropping soon. That's awesome
Using S9+ from day 1
I definitely love it
Same. I got it the first day that it was shipped out. Absolutely loving it!
If you don't like the glossy screen, just order yourself a non gloss screen protector!
Good video. I had the S8 Ultra for a while but will be trading it in for a 9+(smaller screen).
Nice review keep up the good work
Thanks so much. Means a lot
Paid $362 for the 512GB S9+ Beige. Received $500 credit for my S7 FE Tablet and $324 in discounts. I was looking to get the S9 FE+ but for about $150 more i thought this was a better deal.
For that price I don't blame you. You get a nice upgrade for that
Thanks 😊 I'm still rocking my Tab S8 Ultra
I'm releasing an updated review on that very soon. Loving it right now
@@AndroidDigest yes please
I have OneUI 6.1 on my Tab S9. I think you should be getting the update soon.
Yeah sometimes it rolls out in stages. I think it's finally starting to release
for note taking, long time book reading. which will be good? ipad pro m2 11 or s9 plus? plz response.
I love my s9 ultra, perfect tablet
The Ultra is amazing. A little bit bigger, some people might think it's too big. But some people won't think it's big enough. But for those people who love it, they really really love it
I Love the S9Plus I just picked one up cause the last one I had was the S7Plus upgrading from the S6Plus at the time and skipped the 8 but now got the 9 so I really Love the Samsung Tablet even though I also have the iPad Pro M2 2TB, I actually mostly use the Samsung one!
Awesome. I really hope you keep enjoying it
Great review mate, cheers. You buy a paperlike screen protector, and you solve the reflective display. Also, the s-pen works better. I recommend it for everyone who owns this tablet.
that's true, I just hate the feel of those! But thanks for the comment still. It's a good solution for those that like it.
i have the Ultra, and the size is actually what i wanted. its literally a laptop replacement with Dex and a keyboard and mouse.
Why you want an laptop replacement when you can actually buy an laptop?

I just ordered this tablet from T-Mobile and got it for free! I just have to agree to a tablet connection for 2 years.
Pretty great deal!
I did the same, it’s my go to tablet
Thanks for sharing your experience. I definitely agree with you
Where did you manage to get it for 54k INR? Even the base s9 is priced higher in flipkart sale.
@@drkarthikeyan014I got a special discount for a new account and during the BSD sale it went for 67k for me and I got a card discount for 13k

I like how open android is. But I actually hate oled because of inevitable burn in. Especially when I plan to use it as second screen and static content. I'm not going to baby 700$+ tablet. iPad pro has no competition if you want 4:3 ips/miniled display.
Well they are moving to oled now too. This next iPad will never OLED
@@AndroidDigest Sure. But 2022 iPad is still comparable with 2024 samsung tabs and other oled screen tablets. S7 tab series isn't and there are already posts on reddit from people with burned in screens on S7/S8 just after a year.
Do you think it will maintain its performance for 3-4 years and will be supported by updates?
It will. And it will for sure get updated through then
my S22+ phone is still doing great!
The notch on a tablet is seriously the silliest trend ever.
Yeah, not a fan, but I did get used to it on the Ultra. But the Plus has no notch, which is nice.
And plan on upgrading to the S10 when it's out
I'd have gone for the screen size of the Ultra but it didn't have a 5G option. That was the deal breaker for me. So far I'm loving my plus.
Awesome. Hope you're enjoying it. It's a solid choice
Just got 6.1 updated on my tab9+. A.i cool
Glad to hear. It's been rolling out slowly but it's getting out
Got it today n m loving it. Got it for 730 USD
That's a crazy good deal
@AndroidDigest it's called drag and drop I think I found a way to do it
Do you think the regular s9 is a good option? The s9 plus is too big ? Thanks
It's terrific. Check out my recent video, I think 2-3 videos ago I did an s9 update. I love it.
How's the overall performance of the Doxner keyboard case track pad?
Thank you so much!
thank you. It's a great review, great video
Thanks so much
I have always been an android user, but always said that apple does tablets better and that iPads were superior.
I'm waiting for the launch of S10 tab series so that I can grab the S9+ for cheaper
Not a bad idea, we already have some sales now though, and some open box discounts, so it's not too bad to pull the trigger. But I get waiting.
@@AndroidDigest unfortunately no such sales for us over here in India. Will have to wait for the new series to launch for the price of the S9 to go down. But from your video I can tell that the wait is going to be worth it as the tablet seems really good

Should i use fast charging?
I would say yes. There are devices that charge 100 watts or more nowadays, this charging 45 watts isn't going to cause some big issue. It's pretty safe and won't cause great overheating or anything.
What was that Mario cart type game in the video?

Doesn't matter. It will charge at 45w regardless. So use whatever you want. Both will work fine
@@AndroidDigest hey ! Thanks for the reply man 👍
What logi keyboard are you using @7:01 ?
Logitech MX Keys Mini. There's two preferred combos for me: The Samsung Outdoor Cover + MX Keys Mini, and the Dexnor Keyboard Cover+ a bluetooth mouse. I love both of those options a lot more than the Samsung keyboard cover.
How was the lag using the track pad on the Dexnor keyboard case?
Have u noticed any lag?

Is the s9fe plus getting the one ui 6.1?
It isn't getting the Galaxy AI features. It might get other features, and 6.1. but not the Galaxy AI ones
@@AndroidDigest ah, it's fine tho
Would you recommend for light adobe work?
@@AndroidDigest got it. and thank you for your response.
ii have the same setup. My Dexnor trackpad is very jumpy..Scrolling is not smooth. Does yours do that?

@@AndroidDigest hope for the best... i am very sad why did not I buy S9 plus variant instead of S9 that I have purchased... my S9 looks very tiny by comparing it side by side... can u please let me know is s9 also good because you have both tablets
@@AndroidDigest and try to come up with your long term latest review of s9 basic model as well
well you are promoting Dexnor Keyboard cover, but in 7:01, it is visible that you prefer logitech yourself.
Dexnor 😢 please please 😭😭😭😭 make a floating one for Tab S9 Ultra !!
Yeah that SO Ultra one is a little different. Maybe they will make another one soon
@@AndroidDigest I acknowledged your old reply. Don't worry I will check the link too 😘
Hopefully they will have 5g for the ultra tablet soon in the states
Yeah they've been really slow with that. Only releasing it with the plus. Lately they've released it for some other devices but I hope it comes for the ultra soon
I use my for drawing and it gets the job done.
It would be great for that!
I was at the mall for an iPad Mini 6 last March. Instead, I ended buying the S9+. Samsung device price drops and discounts were too tempting. Now, I’m still looking for ways how to hand hold it properly.
Awesome. Hope you're enjoying it
Watching it on my new S9+😃😃😃
Awesome. Hope your enjoying it
@@AndroidDigest first evening using it but it is amazing!!!
Iwanna big Storage Like 512 Gb its Good Option Thank You Sir❤
For sure!
I don't like large tablets I think if you're going to have a large tablet you might as well just get a laptop. I think tablet should stick around 8 to 9 in.
I hear you. There just aren't many of those around anymore
I have the tab s8 and the s9 is better than the iPad in my opinion
I enjoy them a lot
@@AndroidDigest yep I play Mario 3d world on my tab s8 and get good fps
If it's Bluetooth, does it mean the pogo pin connection is futile? 🤔
If samsung wasnt greedy and let people use their pogo pins for an affordable price then we would have more keyboards compatible with them
Well, for this case, yes. Not for Samsung's case
I bought it replace my tab A8.
That's a massive upgrade. I hope you enjoy it
@@AndroidDigest I got it I have to say I picked the right size. The ultra would be way too big there's times even when I think this one's too big. However I looked at the normal one and it looks like it might have been too small.
The bookcover case is backlit
Not on the S9 Plus. That's only on the Ultra. The Dexnor cover is backlit though. But both Samsung covers are not for the plus
whats wrong with your finger?
Haha, I was born with weird fingers. They just bend weird naturally. Probably my most frequent comment I get though lol
mine is already 6.1
Awesome. It's been rolling out at different speeds depending on where you're at. But most people should be getting it now
there's no such thing as "android ecosystem", there are open standards and technologies
The word ecosystem is just meant to say how things work together, and how nice things play when trying to use them together. I would disagree with how you use the term, but I do get it, it is a general open standard.
Can you use that keyboard in a portrait orientation?
You can, but you won't see the screen very well. The screen will switch to portrait, but the keyboard will remain in the same orientation.
What you can do is go into the "advanced features" settings, and go to labs. If an app doesn't work in landscape orientation you can force it to. You can force it to be a small app that fits in the middle of the screen (app default for most apps) or you can force it into full screen, which does blow things up and can make some apps look a little stretched. the point is, you have options.
@@AndroidDigest very helpful! Thank you!
Not sure what you're asking to be honest. Moving photos in the same "file" not sure what you mean.
I buy this tablet the s9plus or the ipad pro oled? I dont for new wath to do?😢
In general, the iPad will be better.
Watching on my s9plus 😂
Awesome, hope you enjoy it
Dat finger tho
Yep, it's wild
So for that reason I still think it will come down to preference of your operating system, at least for most people. iPads are TREMENDOUS though, and they will only get better, so I won't knock it
Android>>>
@@AndroidDigest: I agree that mobileOS may be more defining than raw ability in some consumer choices. Of course, value is demand-side economics and is significant. But from a purely technical viewpoint, the M-chip iPads will rule for one more year.
Honor pad 9 should go up against tab s9+
I'd still pick the Tab S9 all day, the processor is the big differentiator.
Weird fingers man
Haha it's true
Bro .. I am from India please gift me this iPad for study .. my exam soon
I'm from the US. And I also have a family that really needs money. That's why I work hard on all these videos. I don't just get all these devices for free. If you would like to send me something for free, I would be very grateful. Because I have a family with three kids and financially things are tight. So hey. If you want to send me an iPad for free that would be awesome
