I've had this particular Samsung tablet for about six months now. I got it during Samsung's Early Black Friday sale, in which one could get a $50 USD discount on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE. Having used the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE up to that point, I traded it in for the 6GB/128GB version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and got a $300 USD trade-in discount for it, bringing my total price down to approximately $100 USD. I'm a budget-conscious digital artist and hobbyist 2D animator who likes to draw, sketch, and animate on the go, and I don’t really need any fancy stuff like the OLED screen, a high-end CPU, or USB-C video output. My go-to drawing and animation app is Clip Studio Paint EX.
Hey there! Im a college student and Im thinking of buying this tablet in a while for taking notes and binge watching content on. Do you also watch movies and stuff on your tab? If so, do you find the screen size to be large enough or do you wish you had gone for the fe plus?
I've commented before in your reviews on this tablet. This device is my daily driver! I love it. I have my work PC of course but I paired this device with the Samsung Keyboard and for what I do (Email, MS Office, Tech Content), it has gotten the job done with no problem everyday since the purchase of the device. I did add 128 GB of storage, but this device hasn't given me any issues. I do note that during zoom calls/teams calls it can get a little warm but that is it. Performance for me is great. Great review!

My daughters 13th birthday is com8ng up and I was thinking about getting this for her to draw on instead of her other tablet. Is there any specific apps you use or things you could recommend please?
This is EXACTLY why I got this model myself as well. I don't need the OLED screen. I don't need the quad speakers. I don't even need the Snapdragon whatever. All I needed was a good quality tablet that can be my content viewing machine, and the Tab S9 FE fits that bill perfectly! Very satisfied with my purchase.
I have used the S9 FE+ Wifi model for 6 months for academic purposes (opening pdfs, taking notes, writing documents). I definitely agree with your performance review of this tablet. There are microlags here and there that doesn't do the smooth, fluid 90 Hz display justice. This has led me to think that picking a midrange SoC is quite underwhelming at times even for standard office work. Mine is currently at the service center since since its getting repaired for its wifi issue (thankfully its still under warranty). Yes, wifi issues on the entire tab S9/S9 FE lineup exist and there have been a number of reports on reddit. If I had another chance to choose a different tablet, it definitely wouldn't be a samsung anymore. I cannot risk another hardware issue AS BASIC AS WIFI on a tablet lineup that's >$600.
@@themusiclover8440 If you own decent performing devices in your household (think modern amd/intel or m series macs), then I'm afraid that going down to the exynos 1380 would be noticable for you. On the plus side, the FE+ wider screen estate really does help with note taking. However, if you carry your tablet around instead of putting it on surfaces, I would suggest the much lighter 10th gen or the smaller FE series. With that said, I would also like to recommend the ipad air m1, ipad 10th gen, as well as the xiaomi range of tablets.
I came across your channel a few months ago and I'm really impressed! Your content is super informative and easy to follow. I hope you get the recognition you deserve and keep growing!
Thank you. Seriously it means a ton. That's what I'm aiming for. I try to go over the pros and cons, then give longer lasting advice: what prices to look for, what sales I'm seeing, how it compares to other devices in the US. So I try to be different, I appreciate the comment
my partner bought me this tab s9 FE yesterday as an advanced mothers day gift and I am loving it! They also gave us freebies including the samsung wireless keyboard and the brick charger. priced at 24990 php here in the Philippines.
Got one with verizon with my galaxy watch 6, not really a tab user considering my phone is normally handy but this tablet is really good mid tier specs....love the s pen and with the right case it's cool to show off
Super solid device. My only gripe is that I'm spoiled with OLED being on all my displays. I ended up just spending the $1k to get the Lenovo Tab Extreme. I consider just spending the money on the Galaxy Tab S9 ultra but I wanted to give Lenovo a try since they are basically the same size but you also get the keyboard case included and the fast charging brick.
Nothing wrong with that. The only thing I don't love with Lenovo is that they are a little bit slow with updates. But that extreme has such an incredible keyboard. I love that device.
I love this tablet and got it a week ago, i did tweaked it a bit, if you want a little better processing power, turn off the Ram Plus in the memory settings, you really only need that if you play heavy games, i dont so i turn that off to stop the tablet from using the hard drive as ram which just slows the whole system down. 6 gigs is enough for me. i did some other hacks but turning off the ram PLUS is a safe easy one.
@@AndroidDigest yeah it does, I don't know what's up with these systems with using extra RAM. Just like Windows it will start using it right away regardless how much free physical ram you have doing 2 unwanted things: Slow system down, and wear down your hardrive faster and since you can't replace your hard drive on tablet, might as well turn it off to make it last as long as possible. People who are hardcore gamers should just buy the fe plus or the s9 with the ram plus shut off.
Hey there! I'm a 1st year college student majoring in economics and seeing that you have bought this tablet has urged me to ask a question. I've recently realised that a tablet may come in handy for me. I already have a laptop but I'd like to have a tablet for making notes, and the amount of paper it'll save is an added bonus! I am used to the samsung ecosystem as a lot of my electronics are of that company, so I've been looking at this tablet as well as the s9 fe+. However, the fe plus happens to be costlier than the regular fe, and im confused as to whether spending more money would be worth the bigger screen. Buying the s9 fe would definitely be a lesser burden on my wallet. What I want to ask you is, do you find the screen size of the s9 fe to be adequately large in order to take notes or binge watch web content on? Also, is there a reason you didn't go for the fe plus besides a possible budget constraint?
Hey there, I really loved the vid. Just a quick question, although the video was summarized well. May I ask.... I want a tablet for media consumption and for browsing. It needs to have great display and best in class battery life. Is this good enough for that. I am not looking to change it for atleast 2-3yrs
I'm looking to buy a tablet and you have given me so much input on this model. I really enjoy your info. You are very informative and straight to the point. I do get overwhelmed with so many options, (other tablets out there) but you have made it simple for me to decide. I'm not a heavy gamer(Call of Duty stuff, a no, no for me), but I do like to play games and watch movies, videos, to some word processing etc .etc. Thank you so much. 👍🏻🤗
Thank you. I try my best to give helpful info, and I try to talk about sales, and prices and other things channels don't talk about. Thanks for your kind words
Xiaomi pad 7 or S9FE or ipad 10th gen ? I need pen and other accessories as i want to use for academic purposes mostly. For ipad i need to spend more for the accessories.
I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for the detailed introduction to this product! Additionally, I would like to ask if the S9 FE experiences any screen lag or stuttering when multitasking with many tabs open.
Not too much, no. I show a lot of performance stuff in the video, it was normally after the app loaded for the first time though, it can glitch on occasion, but it's more rare. It won't exist at all really to lag on the Tab S9, but the FE will lag on rare rare occasion. But not often.
I got mine for $99 USD, thanks to the $300 USD trade-in discount at the time and the $50 USD Samsung Early Black Friday discount. It arrived at my doorstep on the day before Thanksgiving 2023. Six months later, I'm still enjoying my Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE.
hihi! I saw your entire review and I loved it, grats on the great quality you have in bringing content here:) i just bought the tablet and when I found out that it doesn't come with a charger included, I had a question: do you think that the tablet with the included cable is compatible with the IPhone 20W fast charger, and that it works without affecting the battery of the tablet?
Almost any charging brick will work just fine. You just want to find a brand that isn't some random untrustworthy brand. I use iPhone, Samsung, Lenovo chargers and more. I use my laptop charger on my phone, any usb c charger will work fine. But obviously if jo schmo random dude went to his basement and tried to make a charger without proper electrical training, maybe it could have issues. That's the only worry when it is some random brand you've never heard of. Plus Amazon can have fake reviews. But Anker is a good 3rd party brand to go with if you're in doubt
Super review. My all time favourite Galaxy Tab was the P6800, 7.7". Perfect size, great 5000mAh battery. Just bought this S9 5G and I have a feeling it'll be as incredible as my old one was.
Thank you so much. It means the world. That's exactly what I'm trying to go for. And I just try to give some realistic advice as far as what competition is out there, and what price to look to buy it at. I'm trying to help normal people. So this means a lot. Thank you so much
I bought it from Samsung using the deal price + student discount + credit card discount+ welcome voucher in India for 190$ lol that's it, incredible price!
Should I get the s8 or this? I mainly use my tablets for playing games such as Minecraft and Roblox and my IPad 9th generation with it’s 3gb ram isn’t running the best it could be, so I’m wondering what to get
I mean the iPad even there has more power than this for sure. The S8 is much better then this in general. Same type of display but it's more powerful with a higher refresh rate. But less years of updates. I think it only has 2 years left. No water resistance. Depends on your priorities. I'd lean S8 if you want a faster device. S9 fe if you want water resistance and longer software support. S9 fe works good with Roblox in my experience
Hey guy! great review. im also also still rockin the Tab S2. this is an amoled screen. I only need to upgrade cos the battery is not lasting well. Do you think that the TFT LCD screen on the Tab S9 FE would be as good as the AMOLED on the old Tab S2 or would i have to go with Tab S9 with DYNAMIC AMOLED screen to match the quality of the old Tab S2 for basic youtube and web viewing and some HD content???? any ideas would be appreciated
Let me keep it 100% real with you. It will be close, but I think the Tab S2 will beat it out. I'm going purely off memory here, but I've went back a couple of years later to a tablet like the S3 and I was shocked at how good the screens were back then. I might be way off, but I think it could be equivalent, but chances are the S2 will be slightly better. I think this will still look very good for web viewing and hd content, and I know the performance should be a nice improvement for you. Just remember you're going from the flagship tablet years ago to a mid-ranger years later, a different ball game. But yeah, check out Best Buy open box deals if you want to get the S9 a little cheaper (if you use my link to get to Best Buy, even if you search for another item, I still get a little affiliate commission). Still, I think it's a toss up. The good news with Best Buy is they will return without restocking fees, same for Samsung, so if you buy and decide you would prefer the S9 instead of the FE, you could always do that later, so there's not a huge risk with buying the S9 FE and testing it out. To see if you would like it, so maybe that will save some $$. Hope this helps.
@@AndroidDigest you are a champion in helping. Your answer is very helpful, and thanks for taking the time to assess and respond to my individual need. Keep up the good work, its much appreciated
I bought this tab last month and it's been amazing!!! i was going to be dissapointed at 90hz and lcd coming from galaxy m54 with 120 hz amoled but honestly tab has been better than my phone and laptop! btw just as you confirmed my request(you said that 1440p and even 4k is supported in this tab) my internet did get better to be able to play 1440p videos though with some loading circles but atleast nice to know that it is supported but one question still remanins that is how is 4k supported? my internet isn't capable of 4k loading so idk but you said even 4k is supported which doesnt make sense cuz it physically only has 1440p resolution so how 4k is possible? OVERALL LOVE THIS TAB
It's sort of an upscaling thing. Just like some people will shoot videos in 4k. Then bring them down to 1080p. It may look better then a video shot in 1080p. In this case you are streaming 4k video onto a non 4k display. It will only physically show up as good as the tablet can do. But a 4k video to a 1080p tablet looks better than just a 1080p video on a 1080p tablet if that makes sense. Even though it's not a crazy difference
It's the dexnor keyboard cover. It's one of my favorite cases I've ever had, with some caveats. You can find it here (amazon affiliate link): amzn.to/3yyluyi Basically, it's like the apple magic keyboard, it lifts up your device, which is AMAZING for getting better viewing angles. Terrific. The negative is the touchpad isn't great, and sometimes if you rest your palms down it can activate the touch pad. You can easily turn off the touchpad though by pressing I believe it's the function key and the space bar. Then you can just use the touch screen or use a bluetooth mouse, But it's amazing because it lifts the tablet up everywhere I go so I get a better angle for my neck, I can use the keyboard when I need it to type, and if I want to just lounge on the couch I just detach the device from the case. There is a 10% coupon code on it, it costs about $100 after that. But prices do change. Hopefully that helps.

got it second hand, with only tab price got extra the keyboard... this tablet has become my go to when doing business trips so I can leave my laptop at home... good battery life, easy to use and great quality... really good value tablet
I just grabbed a used one for $200. It's my first tablet and I figure if I decide to upgrade later on, I hopefully can take advantage of a samsung trade promotion
I'm planning to buy either Xiaomi pad 6 or samsung s9 fe primarily for note taking, reading, movies and casual gamings. It should have a good palm rejection. Also I'm expecting it should give a good performance for long time. Which one you would suggest? And does the suggested one supports HD content in Netflix and Amazon (Widevine l1 certification)?
I was looking to replace my fire HD tab 10 plus (11th gen) with this tab specially due to the s pen and already having a tab s9 ultra / s24 ultra. would this be faster then my fire tab? mainly want it for note taking, youtube, and social media use .
You seem like a good use case for this. And it should be faster than your fire tab, yes! I'd try it out. Return policies are there, but yeah, it's pretty great
Definitely don't get the S7. First off, if you buy it, you're looking at a device that may have a 2 year old battery, assuming it's used. Secondly, The S7 had worse software update support, I think it's out of software updates in fact! No more big OS updates I believe. They upped their updates with the S8 line, and then even more later. Also, the S7 isn't OLED either, so you won't gain much going backwards. I'd recommend this, and you can find one that work with t-mobile, looked for an unlocked version if you search online, or a cellular model.
I watched you video and I think I am definitely going to be buying this tablet now. My birthday is around the same time Black Friday is, so maybe I’ll even get it on sale! Thank you for this amazing review! ❤
Sorry if you already answered to this question, but i couldnt find it. Is it good enough for video edit 2/4k? Cause i tried to play 4k yt video in the store and it was struggling
Not really. I used the S9 FE Plus to edit 4k video in Luma Fusion, first off, I made proxies, secondly, I didn't have a lot of issues on shorter videos. Or videos with 1 track. But 10+ minutes of 3 tracks led to some restarts and other issues. If you make proxies shorter videos are fine. Luma Fusion did reach out to me and say things improved, I submitted reports to them to fix things, so maybe it's improved. But with this type of power I'd only expect it to return with proxies and for shorter 2k or 4k videos. Playing 4k TH-cam videos shouldn't be much power, that's probably more of an internet thing I'm guessing
Hello. I find you're review to be honest, down to earth, and you cover specifics I haven't heard or read elsewhere. I have the S9 FE 5G model, which has been a fairly decent tablet overall. I only use for browsing the Internet and some lightweight apps. I bought it through AT&T for it's 5G cellular connectivity and it hasn't performed very well in that regard due to issues with AT&T's technology at this time. I've been looking for other's take on that model, but there just doesn't seem to be any information about anywhere online and I find that to be a bit unusual given the plethora of information on even the most obscure products. Have you ever considered checking that one out , or is there a particular reason, that you may be aware of, that there is very little info about it? It is model number X518U. Thanks.
Thanks so much for the comment. Honestly, people just don't talk about those cellular models for a good reason. I'm not saying this judging your use case or anything. But phones nowadays have a hotspot, to connect your tablet. You just have to press one button and your phone can create Wi-Fi. Tablets will automatically connect to wifi if the password is saved. For sure, there's a reason that some people like to always have their tablets connected to the internet. But it's becoming more of a niche thing. It's also so random as far as what tablets actually create, Cellular availability. At least in the US, at launch, they only had a cellular version of the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus. Not the Ultra, not the regular S9. And when these things do become available, it's not at all carriers, and they do charge more for those cellular models. Typically. They do give discounts if you sign up for a contract, but you get my point. I could cover those things in my reviews, but I don't want to because the advice would have no meaning after just a week or two. Sometimes a cellular model isn't available at all with one carrier and then 2 weeks later it is. And a lot of my viewers are from international markets and they may have more or less cellular models available. And typically, in most cases, normally cellular performance is pretty identical between phones nowadays. Sure there are some issues every now and again. But for the most part, people have a consistent experience across all devices anyway. So it's not something that a lot of people want to waste time talking about in reviews. Sadly, that does leave people like you without a lot of information. And I do think that stinks. I don't have a lot of info on what you're looking for. But it sinks that you're having problems
@@AndroidDigest Thanks for answering my question. I can certainly see that a review would not have a very far reaching or meaningful impact for most consumers based on one component that makes this tablet different from the S9 FE WIFi. You got to the heart of what my question was about. Very well communicated . I should clarify though, the 5G connectivity on my tablet works as well as any cell phone when it comes to data. It is the tablets ability to be used in place of my phone if I did not have my phone with me or need to switch between my phone and tablet during a call, etc... that has issues. This table has the functionality to work as a phone, and the way in which that technology is employed, is different amongst the different carriers. ATT uses their technology , called Number Sync , in order to use a customer's current phone's number to provide the tablet it's number. It's basically nothing more than a forwarded call. The tab , however does have the capability of having its own fully functional 5G LTE line with the ability to make and receive phone calls, texts, voicemail, and it has its own dialer app . Thanks again @androidDigest for taking time to respond. Keep doing what you do.
Help! Med student, flashcards, notetaking apps most importantly, battery power last long is TOP priority, support DEX strong processor, doesn't lag overtime, handles many apps at once No gaming, watching lectures and studying But not too pricey
What do u suggest between s9 fe and s9 fe+? Particularly for note making, educational purpose. Or is there any other tab best for note making? Affordable range? Please reply bro?
hey android digest, i have a quick question. I have the 6/128 variant of the tablet and whenever i set the screen mode to 'natural', the s pen to text feature gets very laggy. It becomes slow, delayed and sometimes won't even register. This doesn't happen when it is set to 'vivid' mode. does this happen to your model as well or am i just unlucky?
I'm not sure if I'll have time to test that today. That does sound like a really strange bug. Either way you're unlucky. I do have this tablet an active use. I'll try to remember to test it at some point
I just purchased mine and I opted for the 256gb 8gb of ram for $400 I mainly want it for my dash cam videos, and Netflix when I'm at work or music on TH-cam. It will arrive today December 1st. Can't wait to get my hands on it, and I also ordered the greenlaw keyboard case, do you know if this keyboard is any good?
I bought this tablet from Verizon recently and am loving it. Such a good price and love that it came with the s pen. Of course it's got the 5g as well. I really don't mind that the screen is not amoled and it performs fine for me. Thanks for reviewing!
Thank you for subscribing to me too! I'm a smaller channel and it means a ton! And you even became a member! Hey! Props. I don't charge much, or give much, but I'm grateful for the support! Sorry I didn't get to your comment sooner, I'm super super swamped, like weeks behind. But I try to upload a lot of android tablet content, and I try to cover every android tablet, and some mid-range phones, and some unique phones, with an occasional short about a product. So hope you enjoy it. Thanks for the support! Again as a smaller channel trying to make extra money for my fam it helps!
It should last for years depending on your expectations, but I always recommend factory resetting in a couple of years if it gets slow. Backup your stuff first, reset, and then start over, it should make things a little quicker (in a couple years when you need to)
Should I pay 85 dollars more to get the plus version as I’m a student and I need a tab to read pdfs and watch videos or will the 10.9 inches one okay ?!
The only real difference, will be 2 GB of RAM and some extra screen size. It depends on if the screen size is worth it. Yes this model is more than big enough to read stuff and all of that. But if you ever buy a keyboard cover, it will be slightly crammed on this model. On the plus model, it won't be crammed and it will feel like a full size keyboard. The plus model will be big enough to be almost a small laptop while this is a little bit of a more portable thing that can still read PDFs plenty fine. But it's more about portability. It's really up to you
I think the refresh rate plays a role, some tablets have a 60hz refresh rate. This has a 90hz refresh rate and some devices like the regular s9 have a 120hz one. Also the tablet speed can okay a role on slower devices. In this case, I don't think it lags much at all. Obviously everyone will have different opinions but I think it's very very responsive
Hello from Spain. I just got myself a great deal for the 8RAM/256GB memory through samsung's web with my university ID card. Samsung offers great deals to students. The 6/128 at its lowest in spain (brand new) is @ 340 euro, got the 8/256 for 330 lol. Also, keep in mind samsung offers about 4 or 5 years of updates (since 2023 release date), i believe it will last longer than other devices out there. Thx for the honest review
It's up to you, remember if you buy it through a company you will have to pay service charges every month. The way I personally look at it: it takes 5 seconds to turn on the hotspot from my phone, why pay $10 or $20 a month to have service, which can add up to hundreds each year, when I can just flip on the hotspot on my phone and connect it that way. It takes literally 30 seconds and it automatically connects once you do it once.
@@Rosa2028- lots of phone plans come with mobile hotspots but yes, sometimes you will have to buy one/upgrade your plan. Call your service provider and ask about it
bought in the UK for £389 from John Lewis (mainly because I had £150 of gift cards sitting around). Good video! Primarily going to use it for taking work notes (OneNote) in meetings and using Whiteboard in Teams when presenting, so not looking for anything super expensive. Low latency stylus & note taking experience were the main things I was interested in and have a Samsung phone, so slightly biased towards Samsung lol :)
This tablet is actually good, there are many useful features and the quality is very good and my tablet (S9 FE) it also came with a pen and i loved it so much, and from my side there is nothing wrong about the tablet. ❤
I bought a brand new one on sale in India for about 250 usd, I'm a med student so i bought it for note taking and it servers my purpose better than i expected.
I got mine for 290 USD in Türkiye but i have a problem, my s9fe tab is crashing and rebooting. I went to service but they said its probably software issue and they uploaded again the software but after one week it happened again. Now i will give it back..and i will ask for new tab
For sure. That's definitely not normal. If it happens again on a completely different tablet, it could be because of some app or something on the tablet. But I've had multiple S9 Fe models and I haven't had that issue on any of them
I got the 256gb version for 300usd NEW from samsung and it comes with free galaxy buds FE and an extra 25w samsung charger, i think i can sell my s7 FE and the buds for that easily lmfao free upgrade.😊
That's a crazy good deal. Even if you sell your S7 FE for $100 or $150. You're paying $150 for a way way better tablet and buds AND consider that unlike the s7 FE, this will get 4 years of OS updates. I believe it's 4 years, and I think it's 5 years security updates too. That's major.
I am very jealous of the android deals you get offered in the US in order to convince you guys to come over from apple. In Germany you never get for example comparable trade in discounts etc. since android and samsung are very common over here.
@@LuggageChestHead im from Mexico, and yeah we usually don't get this kind of crazy deals you get in the US except for samsung, that's the only brand we get crazy good discounts and gifts through they official store
I have the S9 FE tablet with 5G and am a bit disappointed. With minimal use it suddenly doesn't want to turn on. I did a hard reset and it worked for a day and then it played dead again. I still have three months warranty on it so hopefully Samsung will fix and return it quickly. The tablet is great to have. The most disturbing things happening is that some apps will not work with the new updates anymore and it's showing "not compatible". This is also happening on the S9 Ultra tablet and the S8 Plus with 5G.
@@AndroidDigest Samsung just called and said it's unrepairable and to replace the part it'll take some time so they're refunding me instead. I still have other tablets (S8+ 5G & S9 Ultra non 5G). I just gotten an iPad Mini 6 5G on sale during Father's day which was $100 off and BTW I have an iPad 11 Pro w/ 5G also. I'm a bit disappointed with Samsung because I did love the FE's screen but for it to die and unrepairable is surprising. Oh well.
That's a little bit of a personal decision for sure. And it really depends on if you're getting the speaker dock with it. Let's just say for a minute that you're not. And let's just say they're the same exact price. The pixel tablet is faster by a small margin. The Samsung tablet has the stylus that comes with it. The screen quality will be fairly similar. But you will get a better refresh rate on the Samsung. And battery. Life will be just a little bit better on the Samsung. As far as software, Samsung has Samsung Dex and that is a nice bonus, you don't get that on the pixel tablet. So I would lean ever so slightly towards the Samsung if they were the same exact price. But there are plenty of things that could point you towards the pixel. For example, some people really prefer pixel software. I'm one of those people. Also, if you do find it for the same price and if you are getting the speaker dock, that is a huge thing. Because you can put your tablet on it in your kitchen, and you could set it up to have your Google photos albums going, it's basically like a picture frame for your family. You can set it to only roll certain photos from a photo album that's a family one too. And obviously if you want to watch some content you can Chromecast things to it from your phone and the speaker dock is pretty loud. So if it was the same price with the dock, I would personally lean towards the pixel. However, it's so darn close because some people might prefer the stylus. And if you prefer the stylus over the dock, then I would go with Samsung. The other thing is sales. If you find one of these devices for $50 or $100 cheaper that would definitely sway things too. So I think the big thing you have to look at, is if the speaker dock is coming with it, and if it is, what are the prices you're seeing? Hopefully this helps
1. Hi, can I connect wired keyboard and wired mouse to Samsung TABLET S9 FE using USB C to multiple USB 3.0 adapters? 2. Does Samsung TAB S9 FE supports HDMI Output like USB C to HDMI to connect to external monitor or TV?
Xiaomi has the specs. No doubt. A better refresh rate, a better processor. But the Tab S9 FE has an spen though, samsung dex, and some other perks, I'd say they are better with software generally. So it's a preference, but overall I lean towards Xiaomi, but in the US I lean towards samsung due to warranty issues, since you can't buy Xiaomi here unless it's on amazon or ebay or something.
Im concerned about its future performance, i can get the 10th gen future proofed but i dont like its display! Stuck between this and the 10th gen since i dont play games and do media consumption and multi tasking, i am using a samsung tab a7 and it used to run good before but now it is slow while multi tasking and needs the charger plugged in
I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say "10th Gen". If you're referring to the S10 Plus, it's really all about budget. If you can afford the S10 series obviously jump in. But I wouldn't stick with the A7 and wait years when you find a great deal on an FE model. You can stress about 3 years later, but Samsung does trades and they typically give you more than what you paid if you upgrade, so I'd get what you can afford now. Factory reset down the line if it ever gets slow. And save up afterwards. You can always trade an fe model later. But the FE is a massive upgrade compared to the A7. I'd recommend upgrading and if you can afford the s10 series, great. But otherwise enjoy
I recently switched from my iphone 14 pro max to a sasmung a55 and I am blown away by the value you get here for your money. Now I am thinking about switching from my old 2015 ipad pro 12.9 to a s9 fe (+). I think apple has lost me...
@AndroidDigest Sir, I am a computer science student, and i want to buy a tablet for note taking, doing digital artwork, slight gaming (like pubg, codm, or genshin) , movie watching purposes. I do have a laptop of my own, but wanted to buy a tablet as a side device. So, I want suggestion which one should i buy, I want to use the tab for at least 4 to 5 years. This tab will be mostly used for note taking, arts, and movie watching and I might run google colab and might run 8 to 9 tabs at once. So, which would should i buy among xiaomi pad 6 or Samsung galaxy tab s9 fe? I am an undergraduate student and thinking of using this tab as my side device for rest of my undergraduate studies and doing my masters studies. It would be better if the device has pen support . I know S9 fe + comes with a pen by default. But if I choose Xiaomi pad 6 then I have to buy a pen separately (that's not a problem for me to buy a pen separately). By slight gaming I mean I may occasionally play games like call of duty mobile, mobile legend, and pubg mobile. 1 month ago one user commented that he had faced wifi issues with the galaxy tab s9 fe+ as a result he had sent his to device to service center. I am still a student and i dont have any jobs currently. Now considering this facts which tab would be good for me.
Xiaomi has better hardware. Samsung has better software and longer updates. Xiaomi will be slightly better for gaming I'm sure too. I haven't had any wifi issues personally. I know the S9 Plus would get you the best gaming, and I do know the S10 series is releasing in roughly a month. Obviously I'd get something like the S9 Plus or S9 if you can, and I'd get the FE if you are on a budget. But if you don't care as much about software updates and stuff than the Xiaomi will have the best hardware
@@AndroidDigest Sir basically I am on budget and I have the budget to buy either Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ or Xiaomi Pad 6. As, i will be soon moving to USA, and i have heard that there's only a few number s of XIaomi service center available there. So, in case if I face any problem then I can go to any third party servicing center there,, but i like to go to the authorized service centers. By th way, thank you for the reply sir.
Would there be a big difference in getting the 8 GB vs 6 GB memory version? If not what type of applications would need the higher memory? Would the higher memory help in faster loading of internet sites, for example?
Generally speaking, when you open an app, and go switch apps, those apps are minimized, like on a computer, and it saves space in the memory so it can quickly load up again. Memory allows your computer to do more than one thing at a time, so having extra RAM can allow you to quickly switch back and forth between apps without them having to reload. In very very intense tasks, like video editing or other things, a couple of apps may use most of your RAM. Generally speaking though. Most people won't see significant differences between 6gb of RAM and 8gb. Especially on a tablet. Android phones and tablets, if you have 10 different apps that are in the background, there are meant to use as little RAM as possible, and if you fill up your RAM, they typically close out two or three apps to free up some RAM. I guess they leave them open, but it does make the app reload to get to that spot if that makes sense. RAM could help speed up internet sites if you have like 20 different tabs open with a bunch of other apps open, but in most cases no. If you're doing one or two things at a time, you aren't going to experience any extra speed. RAM is not processing speed, you will just get slowed down if you have too many things running side by side.
Help! 😭 I'm a Med student, flashcards, notetaking apps most importantly, battery power LAST LONG is TOP priority tons of lectures T^T, support DEX strong processor, doesn't lag overtime, handles many apps at once No gaming, watching lectures and studying But not too pricey
There's two types of DeX now. New dex and classic. Classic just makes everything smaller, and everything opens up in pop up windows. It's a laptop like interface meant mainly for a mouse and keyboard, The new dex is basically the same android skin now, just with pop up windows. I'd look up some videos on dex to get an idea of what it looks like.
Does anyone have spefic information of their experience playing roblox with this? I often do and ive heard it works fine with it I mean if my phone can perfectly this can too probably
Hi, can you also use it as a portable monitor? Was thinking of connecting it to my laptop as a wireless display to use it as a second monitor when im out. Hope you can respond. Thanks!
Yeah, a little less performance. But I'm guessing you'll get better battery life, and a newer device with more updates. A lot more updates. Actually. I think the S7 was out of updates all together.
My S7 was on April'24 security, with last bulletin expected this summer (released summer '20). Faster storage is missed, screen not yet as haven't played HDR movies, so far good with YT. Qualcomm 865 was very efficient, tablet lasted for days, until year 3. Same with this Exynos, maybe less power-hungry but also less efficient so it cancels out, no complaints. My S7 developed a defect with Play system updates, couldn't install a patch and tried every time on boot. Had to reluctantly trade it in, it was a stellar tablet
It will be really good for you. I'm about to post another video on it too, it seems to go on sale for like $350 all the time. Or 375. It's really good for that price
Most tablets don't do 5G unless it specifies that in the title. And you are right, no hdmi output. I'm sure you can get a 5G version of this somewhere though.

Awesome to hear! Sounds like a good device for you. And what a price
Hey there! Im a college student and Im thinking of buying this tablet in a while for taking notes and binge watching content on. Do you also watch movies and stuff on your tab? If so, do you find the screen size to be large enough or do you wish you had gone for the fe plus?

Hello, have you noticed any slow downs while drawing and animating? Also while doing art does it get hot a lot?
@@papagooseonline Not at all.
Thanks so much. It seriously means a lot. Thanks for all the comments and for sticking with me
Good day sir. How do i fall in-line to do what you do
I bought my Galaxy S9 FE a few months ago, and i love it! As an artist, it is really good and I haven't had any problems up to date!
Yeah it's pretty great imo

I’ve had mine since the day before Thanksgiving.
My daughters 13th birthday is com8ng up and I was thinking about getting this for her to draw on instead of her other tablet. Is there any specific apps you use or things you could recommend please?
Do you have any recommendations for drawing apps
I bought one around four months ago. It's all the tablet I need, and half price. What's not to like about that?
Exactly. People think they need the best but this is REALLY good
This is EXACTLY why I got this model myself as well. I don't need the OLED screen. I don't need the quad speakers. I don't even need the Snapdragon whatever. All I needed was a good quality tablet that can be my content viewing machine, and the Tab S9 FE fits that bill perfectly! Very satisfied with my purchase.
Now the s9 is available for same price

Thanks for info about wifi
Do you think an iPad 10th gen would be better than the S9 FE/FE+? Currently deciding on what to get.
@@themusiclover8440 Get the 10th gen or the Air M1 if you can go higher up. You can pair it with a third party pen if you want to save costs.

@@AndroidDigest You bet!
Got one with verizon with my galaxy watch 6, not really a tab user considering my phone is normally handy but this tablet is really good mid tier specs....love the s pen and with the right case it's cool to show off
For sure. I think it's pretty great.
Yeah I think turning off ram plus can help
@@AndroidDigest yeah it does, I don't know what's up with these systems with using extra RAM. Just like Windows it will start using it right away regardless how much free physical ram you have doing 2 unwanted things:
Slow system down, and wear down your hardrive faster and since you can't replace your hard drive on tablet, might as well turn it off to make it last as long as possible.
I have big hands I think it's perfect because it's big enough to feel big while small enough to hold in one hand.
@@GXSCChater great! Thanks for replying.
Watching this on my tab s9 fe and I'm very happy about it
awesome, glad you enjoy it

i just bought the tablet and when I found out that it doesn't come with a charger included, I had a question: do you think that the tablet with the included cable is compatible with the IPhone 20W fast charger, and that it works without affecting the battery of the tablet?
Almost any charging brick will work just fine. You just want to find a brand that isn't some random untrustworthy brand. I use iPhone, Samsung, Lenovo chargers and more. I use my laptop charger on my phone, any usb c charger will work fine. But obviously if jo schmo random dude went to his basement and tried to make a charger without proper electrical training, maybe it could have issues. That's the only worry when it is some random brand you've never heard of. Plus Amazon can have fake reviews.
But Anker is a good 3rd party brand to go with if you're in doubt

How about a used tab S9+ for $460 , no S-Pen/Cover/Keyboard?
Should I buy a screen protector, especially if I plan to buy a replacement s-pen?
Hey guy! great review. im also also still rockin the Tab S2. this is an amoled screen.

@AndroidDigest ahh ok I get the point. Thanks!
Where can i get that keyboard?!! And the stand!!
I'm wondering the same!
It's the dexnor keyboard cover. It's one of my favorite cases I've ever had, with some caveats. You can find it here (amazon affiliate link): amzn.to/3yyluyi
Basically, it's like the apple magic keyboard, it lifts up your device, which is AMAZING for getting better viewing angles. Terrific. The negative is the touchpad isn't great, and sometimes if you rest your palms down it can activate the touch pad. You can easily turn off the touchpad though by pressing I believe it's the function key and the space bar. Then you can just use the touch screen or use a bluetooth mouse,
But it's amazing because it lifts the tablet up everywhere I go so I get a better angle for my neck, I can use the keyboard when I need it to type, and if I want to just lounge on the couch I just detach the device from the case. There is a 10% coupon code on it, it costs about $100 after that. But prices do change. Hopefully that helps.

Slightly worse performance with Samsung, but better all-around imo and better for taking notes

You seem like a good use case for this. And it should be faster than your fire tab, yes! I'd try it out. Return policies are there, but yeah, it's pretty great
Does s9 fe pen needs charging ,but my tab not showing the charge of s pen when conected
No
Which tablet is good, wifi or 5G+wifi
I am back and forth on this and a used s7 the nice thing about the s7 is it connects to my tmobile.. Think a s7 will work for a few years solidly?
You can get any of the galaxy Tab with cellular connectivity. If you got one without it's your fault for not specifying.
Just ordered! About $350 with a $150 speaker included for free. Amazing deal, I hope it'll perform for some RAW photo editing :)

What do u suggest between s9 fe and s9 fe+?
Particularly for note making,educational purpose.
Or is there any other tab best for note making?
Affordable range?
Please reply bro?
I am going to get the s9 fe + second hand for 350 gbp. Only 5 months of University left anyway.
all ai features can use???
hey android digest, i have a quick question.
@@AndroidDigest i see. thanks for taking the time to reply I appreciate it!
@@AndroidDigest hi, have you gone around to testing it? ive searched around the internet and i havent really found any problems similar to mine.
Haven't used that particular one

How long would you reckon it would last before it needs an upgrade?
It's really up to you
Is the pen working fine or laggy a bit cause ive seen some other tablets that comes with a pen and it tends to laggggg alottt
Is the s pen for s9 SE needs to be charged?
Nope. It's not necessary
No charging needed
😂 I'm still rockin' the Tab S2. The only games I play on it are: WGT Golf, Candy Crush & a bit of Pinochle.
Nothing wrong with that! Luckily, if you get a newer tablet you will stay updated for a while with their new update policy
Me too ! But many App are not compatible anymore with that old Android version
Is there any heating issue in long time note taking and watching videos pls reply
I haven't had any type of overheating issues. And I used it pretty extensively. I used it for a lot of things and didn't experience any overheating
Can you please compare this Tab S9 FE vs Tab S8 base model and see the diference in display quality?
I'd personally say it's pretty similar. Just from my experience I don't notice a huge difference, outside of 120hz on that S8 vs 90hz here
thanks man. that really helps
Glad to help!
I can't decide if I should buy it now, but it's gonna be wifi only or buy through my phone company and get with a 5g ?
It's up to you, remember if you buy it through a company you will have to pay service charges every month. The way I personally look at it: it takes 5 seconds to turn on the hotspot from my phone, why pay $10 or $20 a month to have service, which can add up to hundreds each year, when I can just flip on the hotspot on my phone and connect it that way. It takes literally 30 seconds and it automatically connects once you do it once.
Do I have to buy a portable hotspot?
The perfect buyer for this. That's a reasonable price too. This should be a great tablet for you.
hello can i install samsung health app on this tablet?
Yes
Got it for around 24000 INR approximately equal to 280-300 USD from amazon India.
That's definitely a great price
How is ur experience of using, some days I ordered s9 fe plus at 26k inr, is it good deal??
Hey. Thank you. Amazon sold me an SE F9 wi-fi / 5G version for $280 refurbished. Best guess, should be okay.
You got a good deal. You're going to love it.
This tablet is actually good, there are many useful features and the quality is very good and my tablet (S9 FE) it also came with a pen and i loved it so much, and from my side there is nothing wrong about the tablet. ❤
Awesome. Glad you're enjoying it!
I bought a brand new one on sale in India for about 250 usd, I'm a med student so i bought it for note taking and it servers my purpose better than i expected.
It's pretty great for that price

I got mine for 290 USD in Türkiye but i have a problem, my s9fe tab is crashing and rebooting. I went to service but they said its probably software issue and they uploaded again the software but after one week it happened again. Now i will give it back..and i will ask for new tab
For sure. That's definitely not normal. If it happens again on a completely different tablet, it could be because of some app or something on the tablet. But I've had multiple S9 Fe models and I haven't had that issue on any of them
Maybe try to turn off auto restart in Setting>battery optimization?!
@@Dr.Akakia its closed state already
Can you run sketchup on it?
Not sure, sketchup viewer is available for download, but if it's not that, not sure.
Yeah that's strange. Definitely a warranty issue because this isn't normal. At least the part with it being dead.
Oh well.
This or Pixel Tablet? Thanks
1. Hi, can I connect wired keyboard and wired mouse to Samsung TABLET S9 FE
using USB C to multiple USB 3.0 adapters?
2. Does Samsung TAB S9 FE supports HDMI Output like USB C to HDMI
to connect to external monitor or TV?
Number 2 is no. I believe number 1 is yes. But didn't specifically test to make 100% sure yet.
The only thing I miss is no hdmi output or usb connectivity to draw on a computer.
Yeah that is a bummer!
Thank you for your review
Thank you so much!
Which is better Xiaomi pad 6 or tab s9 fe?
@@AndroidDigest the ipad 10th gen is around the same price as the s9 fe+ here in india

@@AndroidDigest Sir basically I am on budget and I have the budget to buy either Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ or Xiaomi Pad 6. no regret buying the 128gb variant!

What's Samsung Dex like?
There's two types of DeX now. New dex and classic. Classic just makes everything smaller, and everything opens up in pop up windows. It's a laptop like interface meant mainly for a mouse and keyboard, The new dex is basically the same android skin now, just with pop up windows. I'd look up some videos on dex to get an idea of what it looks like.

Great video. 'Downgraded' from a Tab S7 but happy, got an open box. Keep videos coming please...
Considering that all I do is, watch TH-cam, deal with Twitter stuff and use like 5 other apps this tablet will be perfect for me.
It will be really good for you. I'm about to post another video on it too, it seems to go on sale for like $350 all the time. Or 375. It's really good for that price
