    Dude!!! This right here!!! THANK YOU from my pasture. My grapple stopped working and it was a coupler that popped out. The pressure relief hack worked! Thanks for all the great info.

    I've been looking for a simple explanation on how to relieve pressure and disconnect/ connect hydraulic lines. This video covers that beautifully and simply. Thank you so much!

      An even easier way and a better way to relieve any pressure on both ends of the connections is as soon as you shut your tractor off, wiggle your control arm to relieve all pressure and you don’t have to waste your fluid either🤦🏻‍♂️

    Thanks for spending your time on this video it sure saved some for me. Hurricane Sally made a mess of my place we were right in her path. Thankfully our home stood strong but she did a number on damn near every tree and small building in our community. Your vid was a huge help with our backhoe attachment for the MF253. Couldn’t remember how to release the pressure on the AUXILIARY HOSES hadn’t used it in a while. Thanks again from south Alabama.🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

    John Deere 1026r. Could not figure out what was wrong after moving the front end loader stick, looking for a pressure relief valve....On the second day of angst I decided to check TH-cam. Although not a one handed solution on my tractor, I never the less relieved the pressure through the connector end and walla!! Back in business. Thank you!!!!!

    Thank you VERY much. I was dumping pieces of logs on a brush pile today and 2 of the couplers on my loader hoses got "pulled out" of the (base(?). I knew I had to release the pressure on the lines, and did, but I couldn't get the lines to go all the way back into the coupler. Apparently, I'm not pushing/pulling the slidable ring back far enough so the hose end can go in all of the way.
    I subscribed to you channel--I'm sure you'll have other great stuff that I can do on my own for my tractor. I have a 2009 Massey Ferguson 1533 with a DL 120 loader. Thanks again!

    Mostly worked, the bucket is operating properly but the coupling is not tightly seated like the other ones are. I disconnected and released pressure and again I can get it in but not firmly. Didn’t want to tap it with hammer or anything without your comment/ advice! Thanks in Tx.

    Thanks for the informative video. Good to know. I'm a Kubota fan but some people like Fords some Chevys. I have had good luck with Kubota for years but just traded my old tractor for a new MX5800 with a front loader and I'm fairly new to hydraulics, so thanks for the helpful tips.

      I like Kubota and John Deere. This video really isn't a K vs JD comparison. They are just quick couplers found on most tractors out there or a very similar variation. Glad you found it helpful and I've had the pleasure of operating a few different MX Series. They are fantastic machines. I hope you have fun with it and thanks for watching!

    Also, if you have a third hydraulic function for a grapple or 4:1 bucket, you can relieve the hydraulic pressure by having tractor off, then turn key on so power is on tractor then press your "open-close" toggle on your control valve. Then turn key back off. If you listen, you may even hear the control valves moving while toggling.

    I was moving piles of tree debris. Got too close into pile, far enough that something caught and pulled down two of the hydraulic hoses under the tractor by right rear wheel. They are actually touching wheel. Trying but can't find a way to get them "back in place" so that they are not touching rear wheel. Appreciate any recommendations.

    I stir the 1025r SCV to relieve pressure in the lines as specified. Reinstalling I keep finding one or two that I have to do the “cover with rag and push valve to relieve pressure” fix to reconnect. It is usually the black connector.

    I have a 2016 John Deer 1025R & yes i have found out the hard way as you've shown in your video about this hydraulic pressure built up in the hydraulic lines. I used a ball peen hammer & gently tapped these "nipples" & then i was able to double check the released pressure by pushing in these spring loaded nipples with my thumb. Great video

    I had a couple of these leaking on my tractor (2016 1025r), and my local dealer replaced them with new ones, but unfortunately the new ones seem to have 3x the spring tension on the female collar. It's almost downright impossible to connect these, even with two hands. The original ones had very little spring tension and were a delight to connect. Do you know if Deere changed these somewhere down the road? My warranty is up now, and I would like to just buy some nice ones that are easier to work with. What brand (if any) would you recommend?

    • @GoodWorksTractors
      @GoodWorksTractors  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, not that I'm aware of. Did you ask your dealer?

    • @grantdeisig1360
      @grantdeisig1360 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GoodWorksTractors, I just recently had them put on and now my warranty is up. (Well, they told me 6 years power train and only 2 years on everything else.) So probably up to me now. I asked them awhile back about them being tougher to work and they said that that's the first they've heard of that. Which I find odd, because they are noticeably different collar strengths. It's not that they don't work, they are just hard to work with. My dealership has not been very helpful at all, I've actually been to two separate dealers and had bad luck at both of them. Poor maintenance and poor turn around, with lousy communication. My 260 backhoe has been in about 3 times with complaints about it loosing hydraulic pressure on the dipper stick while in the middle of digging. Needless to say, it still does it, it's out of warranty, and they never fixed the problem. Good news is, I like working on my own stuff, so now I can diagnose it and fix it correctly. I guess the old saying is true, "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself."

      @@grantdeisig1360 I have been warned by other contractors I know not to buy Deere because their service and warranty are horrible.

    • @grantdeisig1360
      @grantdeisig1360 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@joaquincortada1483, my experience has been less that satisfactory to say the least. But I'd be bias if I said that only Deere had bad service. My chevy is a pile and the dealers I've took it to are idiots. Seen the same thing at Ford, Kabota, Massey, IH, Dodge. Really what it comes down to is that the quality of craftsmanship from dealers has bottomed out. Warranties really don't mean anything anymore. Why have somebody at the dealership mess it up when I could just fix it right the first time myself? It's just the way America is nowadays. The mentallity of the worker is: It's not their vehicle, so why put any effort into the care of it? It's just like that scene from Tommy Boy when he says that there's no guarantee on the box...lol warranties are just there to make you feel better about buying a pile of crap. A good example of quality would be Ruger firearms. People say Ruger doesn't have a warranty, (which is true) but it's because they stand behind their product and will keep you happy for a life time, if something messes up, they will fix it. I found the same to be true with Henry firearms. This is how dealers should operate, but times have changed.
