Hi Zach, did you purchase it from us? This is the first negative review we've heard, and we'd love to chat with you about what happened. Please send an email to cservice@skidsteersolutions.com. Thank you!
@@SkidSteerSolutions I got it from x-boom coupler on eBay. Not sure if I would give it a negative review I’m sure it’s going to work great. I just popped new o rings in the fittings no big deal. Just wanted to share what happened.
Gents, forcing together couplers that are not designed to connect-under-pressure with residual pressure in the system can damage the couplers seals. Please talk to coupling experts. There is plenty of solutions available.
@@patrickcorbett8361 Hi Patrick, look for Faster 3FFH. In addition to that all CTL equipped with Faster castings and genuine cartidges can release pressure very easily by simply pushing against the cartiridges. Visit Faster TH-cam channel
@@patrickcorbett8361 you can simply install 3FFH couplers from Faster, they can connect under residual pressure....and they cost a fraction of this clamp...and are designed to connect with residual pressure, so you do not risk to damage seals
Hmm, I'm surprised that somebody actually made a modified tool for the job. IMHO would rather have one to PULL OUT some of those Cplgs. Great if you have weak hands, Rheumatics, etc.
There should not be much pressure making it difficult to remove them, but you can check out this video to learn the best practices when removing hydraulic lines from your machine: th-cam.com/video/SjS1jLEDeCo/w-d-xo.html
Long time user of Irwin Quick clamps as a cabinet maker, so when I saw this I was made up as i have been having issues with a grab on my SS. Then I saw the price...you having a laugh...I can get pro xp clamps in the UK for sub £20 ... the qc mate doesnt appear to be available in the UK..so $100 inc delivery plus 20%vat when it hits here...plus courier handling charge.... so $135.00 ish.. unimpressed Irwin...i mean massively unimpressed....
To me, it's like thinking of using a tool which prevents a circuit breaker from activating to avoid bothering interruptions of current flow... nonsense.
Patrick, please email your phone number to marketing@skidsteersolutions.com and we will have someone reach out to you! Or give us a call at 866-966-2538 anytime between 8am-4pm PST. Thank you for reaching out.
Pretty sad that such a tool is needed for this... supposed to be Quick coupling, eh? Ohwell... better than the old days of 20 years ago of disconnecting hoses and hydraulic oil everywhere...
We're just here to provide solutions to people who have problems ;) Sometimes the couplers aren't the issue, this tool can help elderly or injured people as well
Absolutely the best tool I’ve ever bought.
Couldn’t squeeze the connection together anymore.
Now very simple!
Thanks
Thanks man! We're glad to hear how satisfied you are
That’s tools great nothing worse than having hydraulic back pressure and having to get a couple wrenches out and drain the pressure off. 👍👍
Just got one of these and was super excited to finally use it. first use it broke the o rings in both aux couplers when clamping together. bummer

@@fmx3r1 Hey thanks for clarifying Zach. Sorry to hear about the trouble but we're glad it's going to work out! Appreciate the comment :)
The Xboom tool is totally worth the money!
Thanks man!
Just what I needed. Thanks!
Messick's just did a video about this issue. I mentioned your tool. Might not hurt to reach out to them.
I need something like that for 1" to 1 1/4" lines.
It looks like it works great, it has little adapters I think
Currently the jaws only fit up to 3/4" lines. We will provide your feedback to the manufacturer! Thank you.
Or activate the aux with engine off to get rid of the pressure
Depends on the machine and pilot setups, that usually won't do anything.
Good tool

What are they ?

Omg I’m sold
Here's the link to purchase sir! www.skidsteersolutions.com/qc-mate-quick-coupler-hand-clamp-xboom/

Why not just buy a connect under pressure coupler like the Stucchi APM?
Because they cost more than this tool.
Press the pressure release button on top of the block and you will not need that clamp.
It's a demonstration video. The product is for operators who do not have a brand new machine like we do! Thanks for your comment.

I can't imagine this clamp is robust enough to press on some of my Flush Face connectors.
It has 600 lbs of clamping force. We've sold thousands and have not had someone tell us it was not up to the task yet! It may be worth a try :)

Pretty salty for a plastic clamp.
85 bucks??
