Man, you saved my bacon today! I’m a new tractor owner and removed my loader to service the tractor. The weather warmed up and I could NOT get my hydraulics recoupled. The last part of this video, releasing pressure at the first connection, allowed them to pop right back on. I wasted thirty minutes and a few bloody knuckles and a few thrown tools.
Just want to say thanks on this vid. I was helping my dad install a front end loader on this JD 3046R. Could not get two of the hydraulic connections to mate. Did some googling and got your video. I never considered that the problem could be the implement. But it had been sitting outside for quite awhile and it was hot. I loosened a fitting, got some oil and everything went together like butter. Learned something new today so it's a good day. Thank you.
Thanks, dude. I have these couplers on an auto lift in my garage. Been wrestling with these getting more and more difficult and then finally not connecting. Video came up first in Google search. Straightforward explanation. Solved in 2 minutes. Thank you kindly.
Next time you're in Lewistown, MT, I owe you a beer. No, I owe you a steak dinner!! I've been fighting my couplers on my expensive green tractor for 3 years. Thanks to your instruction, never again!! If you're here on a Friday night, it will be prime rib.
Thank you. Sitting in our barn with a trailer load of hay trying to off load with our hydraulic hay forks…watching your video to get the darn thing hooked up.👍
Small bale loader. Lifts four small bales with C-shaped grappling hooks. Not sure of the official name. Works a charm, after you get it hooked up. @@ventrac
Great explanation. I did turn the tractor off and bump the controls to relieve the pressure before disconnecting, but 97 degrees in Florida took it’s toll I guess. Thanks for the information!
This was a great tip. I have had this happen many times. U usually wrap a rag around the end of the hose And press it down on a block of wood. Going to unhook it the way you showed for now on.
Very helpful advice, thank you. This can happen to any hydraulic system. If the pressure is not extremely high, we usually relieved it by pushing the hose end on a hard surface.
Good to Know. If it's going to happen it will happen to me.. Here's a topic, I was talking to service the other day about a unrelated problem and I was talking about towing my 4500 to the barn. The service guy said, Uh you did put it in neutral didn't you? I did, and we laughed, but he said it is not uncommon for people to destroy their hydraulics by not putting the tractor in neutral before towing or pulling it.. So Neutral and Brake off before towing.. lol
Thank you for putting out this video. I have been trying to figure this issue out and was on the verge of hurling my 🔧through a window. Fixed my hydraulic issues first try!
Great advice but telling people multiple times that they are doing it wrong doesn’t help especially if you have been struggling with it. After the first time I’m like ooook we know that’s why we are here
Great content Aaron. Is there private financing available on Ventrac? I see a lot of commercial financing information for small business but I'm wondering about just homeowners.
Good question, Alex. Financing is usually available for individual purchasers. If you find a Ventrac dealer, they should be able to walk you through the process of getting financed. We actually have an awesome program through one of our financing partners that is available for 2019. If approved, a customer can purchase a Ventrac package any time through this year and delay any payments until the beginning of 2020.
I am such a noob, struggling for 1/2 hour trying to couple the hydraulic lines on my JD tractor and backhoe. All I did was to "relieve" pressure by moving the backhoe controls until everything relaxed.
Hey, these quick attach fittings are about $125.00 each or $250 per line X 2 that's $500.00 per machine. It is not often that all four start leaking but they could. How about a video on how to replace the seal or "O" ring that causes the leak. This O ring may cost $.20 plus some repair time vs $125 or $250 plus the down time and trip to the dealer. Otherwise, just strike a match & walk away?
That works too! In a pinch with no tools around, this is the go-to method. it just usually spills a squirt of oil on whatever hits it and you have to be careful not to mushroom the tip of the fitting over time.
On my mahindra, when i remove my frontloader, I turn off the tractor and move the joystick to all positions to relieve pressure on the connectors. Never a problem since I started doing that. Now to watch video... Lol

Easily the best and comprehensive help video on this topic. Thoughtfully explained and illustrated. Well done and thank you.

Great video Ventrac, in two years of owning a Ventrac I have never had that problem, but now I know how to fix it if I do!

Glad Ventrac could help. What piece of equipment were you using?

@@lorihutchinson9485 Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks. Been struggling for half an hour to get a coupling together. Was about to call the hire company but you saved the day. :-).

Thanks man. Took 30 seconds to explain, and 30 seconds to implement and I'm never going to have this problem again.
best MMM yet, you hit tires and hydraulic trouble shooting. We need more like this
Thank you!! We are so glad it's helpful!
Very helpful advice, thank you.

Exactly! We are so glad it was helpful for you!
Glad the couplers are not bad, thanks for the save!
I like how you chose the 4500k model with the power bucket. Nice little details.
Thank you very much! :) Glad you enjoyed the video.

Thanks for the suggestion, Brian!
Not exactly the issue I was having but helped nonetheless better understand the way this works. Thank you.
This was a great help for us. We struggled for a 1/2 hr trying to get the QC together one day. Thank you
Thank you! I was stuck trying to get the plow on and stumped how to fix it....newish owner and beginner mechanic ☺️
That really help thank strangled for about 1hr before seeing your video
5 years later this video just saved me hours of frustration with this damn Kubota backhoe
A BX23S?
Have this problem constantly with a grapple... Different make/model but same principal.. Pain in the ass trying to release in Wisconsin Winters.. LOL
Huge thanks bought my first tractor. And I took loader off. I went to put back on had to bleed line thanks for this huge help
Such a simple fix, great advice. Did the trick. Thanks.
Hot sun was the culprit for me. Thanks!
Or buy a "Waite" Hydraulic Decompression Tool.
What size are the Venrac hydraulic fittings?
This video saved my day. Thank you!
I always forget the wiggle the controls thing. Adding a 3/4" to a magnet holder on the tractor right now.
Thank you for putting out this video. I have been trying to figure this issue out and was on the verge of hurling my 🔧through a window. Fixed my hydraulic issues first try!
saved me today after sharing some choice words with my machine
Thank you it worked perfectly!!

you can get the imfo from kubota dealers if they have them

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Oh yea, one more thing, thank you!
Simply put a rag over the plunger and tap it with a rubber mallet

Is pressure a problem with flat face couplers ?
It depends.... If they're true connect-under-pressure fittings, then not usually.
That's good info
Thanks! Glad it's useful for you!
Thanks.
I just tap the plunger against a solid part of the implement and that does the trick for me, you could use a hammer or a mallet too.
just bump the end of the ball and let the pressure off that way with something either a hammer excetera don't worry about messes up you want
That works too! In a pinch with no tools around, this is the go-to method. it just usually spills a squirt of oil on whatever hits it and you have to be careful not to mushroom the tip of the fitting over time.
Keep it simple no need to repeat the problem multiple times.

Hello
Hey, Carter!
😊😊😊😊
Not much point in having a quick coupler then if youve to spanner the fricking thing
Cold water on the line, easy peasey

You're not a real tractor until you can connect to a baler.
#6minutes
Ummm, that was over six minutes. 🤦♂️
First
Heck yeah!
