Quick release couplings are also known as quick disconnect fittings, or quick connects. They’re used to connect two applications. 99% of the time, they link a flexible part - a hose - to a fixed part. And they provide a fast and easy way to connect or disconnect your piping and tubing, with a special design that is suppósed to prevent any leaks.
    ______________________________________________________________________
We see them in a wide variety of industries, including, of course… Agriculture! For example, when you connect some type of machinery to your tractor, the valve that closes the system is a quick release coupling. They’re designed to make it easy for you to attach and detach multiple hydraulic systems to your tractor and to switch between equipment without leaking any hydraulic fluid in the process.

New Holland Workmaster 75 with a 625TL loader. Couplers drooling like a navy jet. Capacity is only 2 gallons vs most JD Im more familiar with holding 22 gal. OEM couplers are way overpriced, so rebuilding these. Thanks for the video. Its been very helpful.Ill be looking for your company.

    Hi Kramp
I am proposing to use the dry breaks on my 4600 John Deere
to facilitate the snow plow I am fabricating. I wanted your
opinion about if this is a workable idea.
I have obtained a well-used 7 foot Western commercial snowplow
with hydraulic angling. I obtained a TITAN pallet fork JDQA frame.
The 4600 has 4 hydraulic ports to operate the loader that use dry
break quick connects. I have attached the plow to the Titan frame
    with a 2 pin removable 2x2 x 3/8 angle steel. I have a grade 120 chain
attached to the top of the Titan frame headache assembly to lift the
plow blade. The system works but I have no more hydraulic ports available
on the tractor to operate the plow angel cylinders.
I propose to set up the plow on the 4600 and adjust the lift and a blade
chain tension. Then shut off the 4600 and disconnect the “tilt” and “dump”
dry breaks from the front end lift. Then connect the hydraulic plow
angle cylinders to the now available “tilt” and “dump” ports on the 4600.
Now, I can operate the plow up and down and operate the left or right
angle cylinders with the “tilt” and “dump”.
    MY questions:
1.) Can the dry breaks disconnect the loader while
there is minor pressure from the chain tension?
2.) Will the disconnected dry breaks hold pressure
changes as the plow pushes heavy snow?
3.) Do you see and other issues?
    Thanks
    George

A leaking coupling on a skid steer. It started as a drip. An hour later it was a trickle. I have a machine not being used. I will swap out the same coupling to see if this will stop the leak.

You too eh? So much for "leak proof" quick connects! And of course the leak happened a month after my warranty expired. But even if my warranty was valid I'm sure QuickJack has a weasel clause to get out of replacing faulty couplers. SABE MFG doesn't offer a way to purchase from them directly as a consumer. Replacement cost from QJ and their distributors is $50 plus shipping. Final cost is between $65-$73. I found different couplers that would work for $35 (shipping included) but the flow rate was much higher than the SABE MFG. After doing some research it is not advisable to mix couplers that have different flow rates. If I spring another leak, I'm going to change out all the couplers with the others I found or go with the traditional hydraulic couplers (the ones with the bearings inside the female end). I've used that type of coupler for over 10yrs on my plow Jeep and on my tractor with no issues at all.

Well, I have left my comment twice but for some reason, TH-cam is deleting it. QuickJack flat face couplers brought me here. The leak is happening on the male coupler. I would give more info, but my comment will be deleted. TH-cam is starting to really SUCK!

But you don’t show HOW to replace the coupling 🤦‍♂️
Obvious it screws on and off, but no one shows how to stop the oil from flowing out when the old coupling is removed 🤔 🤨
