As a college student I am going to travel for 5-6 hours this coming Saturday to go home for winter break riding a bus. When I went home for thanksgiving break my kitten who is 5 months old was freaking out and clawing at his soft side carrier trying to get out of the carrier. In that situation all I could do was cover his carrier with my coat in an attempt to calm him down. I was wondering what you would recommend for me to do in order to keep him calm.

I'm getting out of Guangzhou with two dogs on February 10, 2020 to LAX on Korean Air with a change in Incheon, Korea. Both in cargo. For one, this is her third international plane trip so I'm not too worried about her (the last one was about 6 or 7 years ago). But the other one, this is his first one. Tomorrow they get their papers so I will ask about some kind of sedative.

It is understandably a concern but we're sure all will go well. Wishing you guys a safe trip!

I was told by a clerk at Petsmart that they have CBD treats or a spray that "naturally" calms them down during a car trip. I got the spray and tested it on my kitty when he was running around like crazy. After 30 minutes, he was on his bed on top of a box as relaxed as ever. You spray it on the bed-not the pet! So I will use this spray when I move next year to a different state. It will be a 2 1/2 day trip and I want my kitty to not have any stress whatsoever.

@@moonlightxcv Sure. No problem. Its called "Just Relax" and its made by Only Natural Pet. It's in a green and white package-3.4 fl.oz. But remember, don't spray it on the cat.

@@moonlightxcv I try to tell people I'm amazing but no one believes me. I'm just this unattached, single artist out here just trying to make it in this lonely world with my kitty. At least he thinks I'm cool.

Hi Patricia, good on your for taking this kitty in. It's important to have this kitty looked at before handling which can be done by contacting your local trap-neuter-release program as they will vet, sterilize and vaccinate them. Wishing you guys all the best.

You should never sedate your pet if flying on a plane. It decreases respiration and can be very dangerous while flying

Good advice, much better than the crazy cat ladies with no clinical knowledge and a clownish amount of eyeliner, which TH-cam suggested over this video for some reason.
