My one year old Maltese is potty trained, he is been suffering from yeast infection in his paw (pink paw) also the pads he used to no longer available so got him green grass one on which he was trained as puppy. He won’t pee on it unless I pick him up and piUt him on it. He peed at home in his bed, on my kitchen mat and on the floor close to bathroom
He is on medication,do you think it’s medical issue or the pad change issue

My dog has a doggie door and he's still pissing. He's the only one who does it. I have 8 dogs. He's fixed. Everyone is fixed. He goes outside too. Healthy 4 year old with energy and joy.. He's so loving and kind and gets along well with all the other dogs super well. No other dogs are males. That may be the key idk. I am at my wits end. He will be lazy and not want to get out of bed or go downstairs to the basement and will piss on a garbage can or laundry basket in bedroom sometimes .. but he chooses the basement. He hides and does it. I have cameras now..I literally had to have the carpet taken out and have covered all the furniture in the basement with plastic and puppy pads underneath. SO then he goes and finds a rando spot to piss!!!! Please God help Gobi my pit mix....he won't wear a diaper and i wouldn't want to kennel him all day every day. #feelingdesperate and some days murdery. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Hi there, that definitely sounds like a frustrating situation. If you haven't already, it would be important to rule out any medical conditions with your vet that could be causing this and then look into behavioral reasons as the cause. If it is behavioural, maybe consider a dog behaviorist/trainer if that is a possibility. Here is some more information on the topic with strategies and tips from Dr. Greenway that you may find helpful: www.healthcareforpets.com/question-answer/how-can-we-get-our-dog-to-stop-urinating-inappropriately-we-have-tried-everything/. We really hope your pup gets this resolved as he otherwise seems like a wonderful dog. Wishing you guys all the best. 😊🐾

@@HealthcareforPets thank you so much for taking time for me♡ I realize that it would have been easier not to respond when there are so many variables to consider in this type of scenario. The article is perfect for my situation.
Gobi has no health conditions. I have a small farm full of critters and everyone gets regular check ups. He's a super smart boy and outsmarts me! I'm fascinated by that but still would like to have nice things 🙂. Getting rid of him isn't a choice; so I'll work it out and I'm on a mission to do so. Thank you again and I'll see what behaviors I can adjust.

My adopted pocket bully is doing the same thing. I will take him out 4 to 6 times a day. As soon as I walk out the door he pees in random places. Yesterday this little a hole peed on my bed. I don't like to put him in the kennel but I can't trust him anymore. I love him so much but really don't know how much more I can take.
Edit... i was sleeping in the bed at the time. 😤😡

Pretty sure my dog has sphincter laxity. She woke me up in the middle of the night. There was a giant wet spot on the bed, and she seemed very ashamed.

Hi Kady, sorry to hear about this frustrating yet common situation. It's important to rule out medical reasons before considering behavioral as the cause so we strongly recommend that if the behavior continues to have your pup seen by a vet. hi i have 5 years old german shepherd he never pee in the house before. its been 4 month that he pees everywhere in the house ... we didn't do anything different the only thing thats I'm pregnant can it be the reason? we always leave the door open to the backyard but he still does it ...am so stressing PLEASE ANY ADVISE!

I am going to my vet. Because at this point it might be medical. But if you’re pregnant that might be the one big change he knows is happening, dogs are very instinctive when a woman becomes pregnant and sometimes know before we do.

i recently adopted a 5y old dog after my beloved best friend Sparky passed away after 17 years. I through getting another dog would help me through the grieving process but it didn't. This dog is exactly the opposite ! he is so food obsessed and greedy , she even took a pork shop of my wifes plate while she was eating. Not only that , she don't want to go outside for pee, she rather do her business inside the house. she is hauling all night and get crazy around 6am demanding her food ! She sleeps all day , never play at all just eat and sleep (apart from nighttime) I REGRET GETTING THIS DOG !

My dog only ever pees in the night whilst we are sleeping but it’s becoming something he does every couple of nights. We let him out just before we go to sleep every night. We had a urine sample done and they said it’s all fine so how can we stop this when we are sleeping?

This is very helpful, I have a pug, he came from somone in SC, he lived with a bunch of other dogs, like, I guess you could say a kennle dog, and he peed a lot where he lived, but, I have an autistic sister, could thata be one of the reason he urinates in the house, it’s a really shrill scream she does, and this is the first every dog I ever had, but if there’s some tricks I could know, it’d be very helpful to know.

My son spilled baking soda all over the floor and into the dogs water bowl. I just left it there and now the dog pees in the house.
I know I should have thrown out that water.
Can I start giving him apple cider vinegar with water to balance it out?
