I always got my 10 year old mini Eskimo her rabies shot every three years, but the last two times she had a bad reaction and her neck swelled up and she was in so much pain for days. She wouldn't eat, couldn't move her neck, and refused to move at all unless she had no choice. She is normally full of energy. The vet listened to me and says he can sign a waiver for her next time it comes due so I can get her licensed. I won't be getting her any more vaccinations of any kind. We stay home (retired) and she has a huge yard to play in. There is no good reason to over-vax dogs.
I had both my Pitbulls and a Rottweiler microchipped, completely vaccinated today they’ve been a little less jittery. I’ve noticed the anxiety come down a little. We do exercise but not as much due to my spinal surgery. I do treat them with calming treats and also some chew toys or treats. Thankful the rott didn’t chew on the others when he was off last night but here’s to working with aggressive breeds during vaccination.
We had our second round of shots today. First round we weren’t sure even vet wasn’t sure it was shots. Second round 4 hours after shots he’s the same. Wont even walk right now. Took 4 days to recover last time. Hoping this one isn’t as bad.
i am watching this because similar thing is happening to me, i am human and the rabies vax is giving me headaches , though those are subsiding as time is progressing, but i suspect brain damage due to adjuvants in it.
i had similar experience when my blood sugars were quite high, i was on set of diabetes, high sugars were giving me difficulty focus at work.
Hi This is Tom Tangalos and my 9 week old gsd Zeus. He got his second set of vax's 2 days ago. His energy level is down 7/10, he is playing but not lengthy,, he is drinking but not alot. He has formed loose pudding bm's no blood in it and no vomitting. This was Thursday and it's Saturday today. When should I start to worry? Because as Zeus is my entire life. I waited for him a n entire year after my 14 years old gsd Zorba died in my arms from heart failure.
My dog got very sick from her shot at 9 years old. I was talked into giving her a shot at 11 years old. She could not walk, could not even be touched. We got her back to the Vet while in severe pain with every reason to believe she would not make it. They gave her medicine, I can’t remember what it was but a large dose of Benadryl was one of them. She did live, it took about 10 days before she seemed like herself again. I refused the next shot at 13 years and was told the city wouldn’t like it. I offered to get a Titer test but the city had that covered and would not accept it. Since then I have researched this and found the young dog rabies shots lasts a lifetime in most cases. I will be taking a Titer test to be sure my dog is not dangerous to anyone but she is an inside dog anyway. Too many vaccines is shortening their lives.
my dog is also 11 years old and is legit having the same problem right now. He just looks really sad! He eats fine and drinks water fine , and pees and poops fine, no throw up, its been 3 days now and im starting to get concerned . I called his vet and she said it was normal for him to be like this.
Ronaldo Roman Normal? I just tried to find the video I watched about 5 years ago but I can’t locate it. There are videos that talk about this subject from Veterinarians that have researched this. There is imo no way a Vet doesn’t know it’s excessive. A Titer test will tell you if your dog is in a safe range but they range from $50 to $300 and I think that’s mainly to keep us from getting it.

No, it's not. In fact, my dog began showing blood in her stool shortly after the shot and she was very lethargic (not feeling well or eating). That poison crap that they give dogs should be a crime. Fortunately, my dog is finally feeling better and showing no blood in the stool after I gave her oregano oil (made from my garden), green teas (made from edible weeds and mint in my garden) and finally poke berry tincture that I made. All of those are anti-inflammatory and potent against cancer. I put a tsp of the oil in her food, half a cup of tea in the food and 3 little sprays of the poke tincture. She's a happy camper after having been ill for quite some time.

My boy was ill, gut, within hours after his 3 year rabies at age 10. He's 13 now and I am agonizing for his booster.
I hope you didn't do it.....it's not needed as your dog 100% still has the antibodies in his system.

I love how Vets blame everything under the sun except the vaccine itself, my dog is 2 years old was so energetic, happy always following me around even in the bathroom loved to play catch, and ever since I got him vaccinated the very same day and the next day he was collapsing he was so weak and still is and it's been 3 weeks he is just not a happy dog and I hate how these vets don't take any responsibility for it being the vaccine but yet blame it on the dog itself, these poor pups are our family and we care about them and their is 100% something in those vaccines that ain't good for them! This is so disgusting that the vets don't give a damn about our furry family members and B.S us right to our face like we're dummies, just be honest and stop jerking us around! Hey I just read your comment and my dogs acting weird too. He's a malinois so is usually energetic but the 2nd day after his vaccination he's been isolating, not eating, not drinking, lazy or lethargic and for the first time ever bit my son. Im worried so called my vet as i thought he would get better. Its day 4 and he's only had a slice of cheese and very little water im taking him to the vets and am really angry at what they have done to my poor boy. Please can you tell me how your dog is now i pray hes happy and healthy
@@bill6880 I am so sorry about your poor pup, it breaks my heart to hear so many people saying how the vaccine hurt there dogs health I hope he gets better. My dog is doing better he did get his appetite back but he just acts like he's an old dog now I noticed his hearing and sight is not good since he got vaxxed, and he is slower now he ain't the same I definitely noticed a difference in his behavior between how he was and now. I am never ever getting him vaccinated ever! But I do hope your boy will feel better soon mine did get better just not the same in sight, hearing and energy wise. Best of luck!
Richard Bouska my dog is a 2 year old Labrador husky mix and I haven’t got his vaccinations since he was a puppy and he still needs his rabies and heart worms vaccines but after doing my research I’m not sure if I should take him or not but then again I need to get him checked for worms 😐

Its not a question of if the shot hurts your dog, thats as obvious as leaves being green in the summer. The question is. Does the shot even work. To this day Ive seen 0 evidence that it will actually stop transmission. We dont even know the transmission rates in dogs that get bit by a rabid raccoon and how often they actually transmit rabies to begin with.
So if you take, 5% of raccoon interactions are from rabies, and theres a transmission rate of 5%, you could then crunch the numbets on whether its worth the shot.

If the rabies vaccine for dogs contains thimerosal, it should be removed from those vials immediately! My Yorkshire Terrier vomited a few minutes after receiving one of his rabies shots.

@@pinche_stoner1563 I'm still waiting because my dad is on the way to the vet with the pups right now. Usually our vet would tell us not to play with the puppy and just let it rest. Just make sure he/she's drinking/eating.
