Great video, should I ad something would it be it's always a good idea to give the Connectors and the inside Rubber a little Contact-Spray, it'll smoothen the process and keep any moisture away..
I'm here for a reason, though. These guys are good and honest. I am running down a misfire with any tune I put on it. The intercooler has no codensation and the plugs are fine. I overlooked the coil packs until Justin said something about the truck missing or just under performing. I notice a decrease of about 1 mpg's over the last year and a slight miss in the idle. The coil packs have well over 150,000 miles on them. Thanks guys.
I was thinking the same thing, I get how honest they are being but can I really trust a “professional mechanic” that doesn’t know the difference in an egr valve and a high pressure fuel pump???
Salty Lawaia Ford says up to 100k miles. I switched mine out at 50k and upgraded to the newer motorcraft spark plugs. Truck runs new like the day I bought it.
twofst4u20 right on thanks man I went from a 96 f150 to a 14 f150 4 years back and was just curious just hit 49k miles, and older trucks was less sophisticated to maintain
Salty Lawaia no problem, I’ve got about 70k on my 2013 F160 Screw. Maintenance is avg really. I had an 03 f150 and this truck is comparable to the maintenance that ford recommends. I changed out my spark plugs just for preventive maintenance and while I was there I replaced only one coil pack due to it having a crack in the plastic. Besides oil changes, haven’t really touched anything else on the truck.
I usually start recommending plugs on Ecoboost trucks between 60,000 and 70,000 because they are boosted. But also depends on if they are highway miles or city miles
Coil packs don't traditionally increase horsepower -they can however get back some horsepower your truck was missing because the coils you're replacing on your truck were worn to the point of not allowing your truck to perform at its best. -Zach
just did my first spark plug replacement on a used 2011. had one broke locking clip, i broke 2 more. after reading the reviews im not to worried because ill be changing plugs like socks anyways. i dont even want to look up what i new wiring harness cost. the truck still has no catch can. something i think ford should be sued for since it is directly the cause of valves and plug damage.

I also am wondering how these and the MSD units compare in longevity
At 5:49'ish, that isn't an egr valve. It is the high pressure injector fuel pump. I'm just saying.

@@andrewbass3245 Agreed, there is a big difference in look and function, but he may have just misspoken. I cannot say either way.
So these S.O.S coils vs MSD?
What’s the recommendation miles or engine hours do you recommend to change the plugs and coil packs ?

No dyno??

Sounds like Metallica in the background.
