Love that you mentioned the league and safties will adjust to his deep ball potentially . That just means less stacked boxes vs Henry. In theory this should open up the run game tremendously for Henry.

I especially find it educational when it involves a young QB or a transition at the position from one QB to the next and this has both! For future videos I personally would love to see your thoughts of what happened in Atlanta this week were a QB gets pulled and they go with the backup. Would love to see a comparison between the two to see what each player brings to the table and how that effects the team. He is in the record books following his 1st start. 2nd all time passer rating with 25 or more attempts and one of 3 to throw for 4 TDs.

Sequence on the 4th down rub route was:
-ruled short by linesman who was taken out
-linesman recovers to throw flag for the pick (you can see him start to reach for the flag when the film cuts)
-penalty declined for turnover on downs
-booth review (because of turnover) rules line to gain was reached

Will Levis was a great QB his first year at UK. Liam Coen taught him how to be a Pro Style QB. Coen left and UK made the worst OC hire in history to replace Liam, also battled injuries the whole year his second year. There is not a guy in the locker room who is more competitive and wants to do good than Will. Also a stand up guy who does alot of good in the community. Remember he came to UK in 21 as a run first QB out of Penn State. He's not been a pass first QB except for the past few years. He still has alot to learn, but he has the advantage of being this good before he really learns the position fully.
Hopefully he progresses and has a long career he deserves it.
Also the shrug is a Levis thing. He does it regularly. I think it's just a routine thing like patting the ball.

  • @Oklahoma-Dreaming
    @Oklahoma-Dreaming 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

That first touchdown was pretty bizarre. It almost looked to me more like Hopkins was a punt-coverage guy and he was getting forced out-of-bounds. Then Hopkins realized he’s a receiver and really should’ve been flagged for OPI I think. But the last TD that Will threw was a thing of beauty. He had to go back foot then launched it over 50 yards in the air on a dime. Looked like an Aaron Rodgers’ throw. But the first time I saw Will Levis throw - it was draft night, I’d never heard of him, and when I saw him sitting there with a frown on his face I looked at his highlights - I thought immediately of Phillip Rivers. But Will has a “better” more over-the-top throwing motion and I think a slightly better arm than Rivers had. I get the feeling that Levis’ play during his first NFL game was no mirage although he will hit speed bumps. Everybody does.

I don't know how people call that OPI when the defender clearly puts his hands on dhop 20 yds down the field, if anything that DPI so makes sense the refs just let them play and then let it play out

That's what I been saying. He was running Into him trying to force him out of bounds. Should have been pass Interference on the defender.

Love the channel, but if Bryce had had the same performance, I think JT would have been gushing, instead of so critical.

The first route to Hopkins is DPI on the DB well before you can even claim Hopkins was guilty of OPI, so that's why is ended up being a no-call, plus the DB like you said gave no effort at the end of the play, so he got what he deserved for blatantly shoving Hopkins out of his route illegally after five yards.

We see a lot of the same inconsistencies from him as we did on his college tape. One thing that discouraged me from him as a prospect was his ability to read the field, especially for someone who is already near 25 years old as a rook. He is very much a double edged sword, Carson Wentz esque

16:08 this was reviewed and he got the first down, but also a penalty so they end up punting. The flag came in late and probably got cut off the video.

He has happy feet but manning did too. He had one foot in and one foot out so it was close. Hop would have caught that ball.

I think for some QB’s having constant movement keeps them focused/alert…it’s like a stimulus

Throw on the side line was placed where only his guy could catch it. Not mad at that fro a young QB.

if teams want to stop him from throwing deep balls then they have to take defenders out of the box and that’s a problem cause we still have the 👑 and he’s still top 5 in rushing

They did in fact call a penalty on Hopkins but not for the rub. They said he was driving his man downfield lmao.

In regards to his first TD on the play where DHop got away with pretty obvious OPI, I think that is what Sean McVay calls a "love of the game" play. That's why he got rid of Goff, who is a great QB, but plays very rigid and within the play call. In the Super Bowl the Rams won, one of Stafford's TDs to Cooper Kupp wasn't even part of the progression, Kupp was just a distraction... Stafford saw him getting open anyway for a huge TD. That's what Levis did here, in my opinion.

I’m a Steelers fan that wished Pittsburgh would have drafted Willis even if they did draft Pickett. I know they drafted two quarterbacks that year. I wish Pittsburgh would try to get Willis on the team seeing that the Titans seem to favor Levis. What’s your opinion on the two quarterbacks?

I disagree about that long one down the sideline to Burks that was out of bounds. That ball was 6 inches to the right and it’s a 50 yard gain. Rookie in his first game making that throw is absurd, and he was literally inches away from getting it
