I'm most impressed with Levis' poise in the pocket. We knew he had a canon arm, but with a rookie the biggest question to me was how he would run the offense and his pocket presence. That is Malik's biggest problem he is far to quick to take off and run.

Titans got Levis because Malik could be a diamond in the rough after years of development or bust. Cant put your eggs in one basket.

Give Levis a good OL and one more good receiver outside of Hopkins, and he will quickly become at the very least a top 10 qb in this league. The talent and flashes are there.

I don't know if you review and reply to comments often but curious to know your thoughts on this. The last interception play was of course a bad read by Levis but to go striaght up four verticals in that situation was a very bad playcall as well. As you called it "mini mary". You can't run that play against a compressed zone, defenders are just going to set on the route. I thought they should have when double posts on each side, crossing posts routes that would have at least made some defenders move laterally or have to switch off. Or, a bunch set to the strong side with crossing posts from the outside receivers and a fly route from the middle receiver of the bunch. Something that has endzone depth but at least has some type of side to side movement which you need versus a zone. Try and cause some type of confusion or blown coverage. Going four verticals just absolutely made no sense especially with the WR core Tennessee has with only one receiver that can win 50/50 balls.

The thing I'm seeing from those plays is that 18 Kyle Phillips is OPEN, Levis just misses him by trying to force it to DHop a little too much. Gotta think that last drive Levis was just pressing way too hard, forcing throws and trying to get it all in one play. A rookie mistake, but he will learn from it. Still super impressed with him, though.

The problem with some of these big arm guys is that they think they can make any throw at any time. That may have worked in high school or college, but it doesn't work in the NFL very well. It's just a matter if you can get that thought under control, and if so, how quickly can you get there.

That's true, but he's still doing *alright* so far, having that skillset, without any true "fuck it, he's down there" guy. Hopkins is still good, and can pull off the miracle nonsense rarely, even still, but the point is it's not like he's going to be getting bailed out by elite, or even *good* talent in Tennessee this year. It certainly shall be instructive.

@@joeterzio7175 Sure am drunk on the Levis juice. You may not be now...but you will be...just wait. You can keep all of those first round guys. I'll take my dudes after the first round...I mean I was a Brady fan my whole life despite being a Titans fan so we know quite a bit about being taken later than expected. Oh yeah...how about Rodgers (even though he was first round but close to the second round)? See...your taken later argument is enormously weak. And yeah, trying to make the Steelers sound mediocre is quite laughable...maybe on offense they are but guess what bub? The game is played on two sides, and they have a great defense. If our defense would have even played AVERAGE we would have won the game handedly but they didn't show up one bit. Talk down on the Titans...fine...talk down on Levis...yeah you're just going to end up with egg on your face in due time.

Juxtaposing this vs Bryce Young film review is hilarious bc your standards for Levis are really high but your standards for Young couldn’t be lower. Levis is doing much more advanced things here in his second start than Young did on his 15th start. Levis has full control, setting protections, checking, running concept based thought to be hard to learn Erhardt-Perkins, as a rookie. According to PFF Levis was pressured on 60% of his drop backs in this game? Yet you fail to criticize the line play but go overboard criticizing slightly BETTER line play from the Panthers. Levis had UDFAs here. You’re not self aware enough to notice this bias?

The fact that he’s even competent throwing behind this walking Swiss string cheese masquerading as an offensive line is enough for me.
Who knows what he’ll become, but it’s a no-brainer that he’s by far their best option at QB. Use the draft and free agency to work on OL and the secondary and the Titans are on the right track.

1 of my 5 fantasy teams got riddled with injuries and there is no chance of me making the playoffs. Goff had a bye so I said screw it n picked up this kid. From a fantasy perspective he didn't have a good game, but 262 yds and no picks while Henry, who I have in 3 leagues feasted, I'm cool with that. The kid played well. I'm in first place in 2 leagues and so far in the playoffs in the other 2 so it was a fun experiment. I'm going to leave him in there and see how he does.

Does this kid ever get a drop back where the pocket isn’t completely muddied? His arm talent is insane if he just got some protection he’d be phenomenal, he’s always going to be turnover prone bc he has the arm talent to make the tight window throws.
Regarding that heave to DHop. He’s probably instructed to just throw it up and let DHop make a play and he has the arm talent to use the whole field. DHop needs to get to that ball.

Steelers should have never had the lead since there was OPI on the big third down catch, WR shoved the DB in the facemask right as the ball was about to arrive. But you know, some teams never stop being dirty I guess. Fluke game, especially with all those injuries- Titans are the far better roster when healthy and everyone knows it. One thing is for sure, Will Levis is the truth.
