I'm skeptical on 6' people in the 3rd row, but it isn't bad. As far as the mechanism to get in the 3rd row, looks similar to how Acadia/Traverse/Enclave/Outlook/etc., works. I think the best options out there are those with 2+2+2 configuration as the aisle in between the middle 2 seats make it easy for people to stretch out in the 3rd row. Also makes it easy to get into 3rd row. With that said, this definitely looks nice and when we get rid of the Model X will be looking at this. Looks excellent, especially for the price. However, I still wonder about the economical viability of producing this in masses. All the feature costs add up.
I wonder how the Rivian handles the traditional way of locking differentials, spinning all wheels equally. Should be very easy to do with 4 independent motors.
Do they have a setting for this, does it work this way automatically when you turn it into off-road mode? Does it have an equivalent of being 'triple locked'? (front-center-rear)
Normally I'm not a fan of product advertisements, but Detroit Denim looks interesting, will check that out as well.
