In my opinion there are two types of love. Romantic and Platonic. With these two its more of a platonic love, they have a closeness that goes beyond mere friendship yet I do not believe they feel too romanticly towards eachother. I think Albert may veiw the Count as some sort of mentor father like figure, while the Count sees Albert as the child he could of had with Mercedes.
He kissed the eugenie inclusive and seemed to like her, but something bothers me. That hug that Albert gave in Count in episode 23 was Haydee who did and she confesses that she loves the count romantically and they become a couple in the novel.
This is beautiful! So beautiful. I LOVE that you used scenes where even the SUBTITLES are significant to their relationship as maybe-more-than-just-friends.
Oh my. Every time I see the Count I have a joygasm. Every time I see Albert and Count together I have a triple joygasm. And when I saw your video... well, lets just say that your amv was made of PURE joygasm. XD Ah, I died happy! Fave and 5 stars!
Ah yesssss xD lovely. It was sad and sweet in the end, and yet you can tell how much love there is between them, even in the show itself it was blatantly obvious.
I think Albert and Franz relationship (in that way) is more one-sided on Franz part. I believe that Franz loves Albert as a friend and more, but Albert does not return those kind of feelings, or rather he is unable to see how Franz feels for him.
My stomach ached from watching that - in a good way. (Partially due to the fact that I haven't finished the series yet either.)But holy hell, that was beautiful.
In the old movie of The Count Of Monte Cristo (Not the 2002 one) Edmond loved Albert because he was Mercedes's son. He felt a great longing for Albert because if Fernando hadn't done what he'd done to him then Albert would have been HIS son. If I remember correctly Edmond and Albert DID dual but The Count couldn't bare to destroy the child that came from the woman he loved, even if that child was not his.
The count's romantic couple in the novel is haydee, she that embraces him and tells him that he loves him and the two at the end of the novel assume a relationship.
I wonder if it was really romantic love between the two of them though. I don't really think Edmond was gay and it is a little much to have a romance with a 16 year old when you are his age. I think Albert loved The Count the way a little boy loves. Albert admired him and wanted to be like him. He wanted to grow up to be like him so he offered his heart up but I don't think there was any real sexual feelings there between the two of them.
It makes me realize how horribly fragmented my gankutsuou watching has been and I've missed so many episodes O_____O Now that I've finished the book, I gotta finish this too xD
No...I was talking about how the company was put out of business and they are no longer making copies of the series. Or so they say...No...I know it was completed!
what!!!! what's with the blonde girl at the video. i though albert only like the count!!! no!!!... please,,, anyone tell me who the girl is and what is her relationship w/ albert. im downloadig the anime and i dont want to have a heart attack.
Eugenie and Albert are together at the end of the anime. There will be a new miniseries of the count of monte cristo. They turned Albert into a woman and he has a romantic relationship with Edmond, including the trailer showing a sex scene between the two. And Haydee is concerned about Edmund's destructive behavior. "The main character of this miniseries, played by William Levy, is a tragic anti-hero who fights the established system, an enigmatic figure who bursts onto the public stage and arouses the suspicion of an elite that is unaware of the source of his fortune and past. Montecristo, a present-day adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ classic yarn, presents an avenger on the fringes of society and the law who confronts those in power with their own weapons and the same lack of scruples. Alejandro Montecristo, founder and CEO of a successful tech startup, symbolizes modernity against tradition and decay, represented by his rich enemies, who are members of Spain’s old-school political and social elite. One of them is Fernando Mondego (Roberto Enríquez), an unscrupulous businessman who covets the wealth of the man of the moment. What Fernando doesn’t know is that Montecristo is someone he knew decades ago, and his sudden rise to prominence is fueled purely by revenge. But Fernando will not be the hero’s only enemy. Cristóbal Herrera (Juan Fernández), a ruthless and corrupt Spanish diplomat and founder of the conservative Liberal Action party, will prove a real nightmare for Alejandro. At his side is Helena Vilaforte (Itziar Atienza), an ambitious political candidate. There are more victims in this story: Fernando’s wife Mercedes Herrera (Silvia Abascal), and Alba Mondego (Guiomar Puerta), their rebellious and passionate daughter. Among the hero’s staunch allies we find Haydée (Esmeralda Pimentel), the startup’s development director, and Salvador Faría (Héctor Noas), his friend and mentor." trailer: th-cam.com/video/z5fX3KWx3iY/w-d-xo.html
