After all these years, I still consider this the greatest thing Madonna ever created.
It wasn't created by her... She only sang it, then the producers and studio technicians had a tone of work cleaning up Madonna's voice to make it sound like this.
If this song has been sang by a proper female vocalist it would had been epic.

Songs were just created differently back in the day. I miss it. They had soul. "If I could melt your heart, we'd never be apart" (I take it as a positive message of helping someone overcoming their "frozen" heart) and "You're broken, when you heart's not open" (another positive message, humans were meant to have an open heart, and it does hurt you when it's not). Today's lyrics would be "Figure your sh!t out on your own, I don't need you, you're a PoS, I don't even need you"
