God. So many comments bragging about how their Audio Technica headphones are better. I don't give a shit, I like Beats because they sound good to me and they look and feel way better than those other headphones which are ugly and bulky.
+Ma Zano Haha, I mostly agree. I actually owned Audio Technica ATH M50s before they became so popular. Sound wise, the Beats Studios (2nd generation) are VERY comparable, and some would actually prefer the Beats due to the more powerful bass response. I personally sold my Audio Technicas because they were very uncomfortable (clamped on the side of my head) and didn't have enough bass response for my liking. But hey, different strokes for different folks...
+ODi Productions thank you. I always hear people bashing others because they don't like flat response graphs. I dislike elitists. unless it comes to the #PCMasterRace.
I liked how you don't show a clear bias. You include both pros and cons and don't flat out say these headphones are trash or amazing. Just the facts. Good job man
Beats Studio Wireless were created when Monster was partnered with Beats. These are the first line of Studios and were terrible. The Beats Studio 2.0 Wireless were created after Monster split with Beats and then Beats redesigned the Studios and they sounded much better and were more durable.
Agreed. Treble is REALLY prominent with these headphones. Volume levels are great, but I have a pair of Bose's that have a much better balance and overall quality.
People don't understand that Beats are more than just headphones they are a fashion statement. You can buy regular old clothes and still look good but you can spend extra money on designer fashion because it just looks better overall and on you. All the other headphones in the market are hideous except for the beats. If you don't care about fashion then buy whatever rag you can find but if you do care you will only want things that stand out and the beats stand out.
First of all of you can't state your opinion and call it a fact. Fact is Beats are best looking headphones in the industry, and they have a great marketing system. That is something that none of the other headphone companies come close to. Why do you think Overhead headphones have grown in popularity so much? Because Beats has done such a great job at making it hype and cool to mass society. Buying Beats is more then buying Headphones, its about buying something that you will always look good in. It's like deciding between a normal jacket and a leather jacket. You pay more for the Leather because it just looks better, that doesn't make you an idiot that just shows that you care about how you look and if you do care about how you look you won't wear any of those ugly other headphones not in public anyways.
This review was very informative. I must say I'm impressed with your review style. Very thorough, no punches held back, no blind favoritism towards any brand, just a fair well...review. Used your review to help me decide on purchasing new headphones. Couldn't help but sub :)
As the title of your review says "An Honest Review" that's exactly what you did. You my friend were very honest you did not sound biased or knock beats down for no good enough reason. Unlike most other TH-cam reviewers who just open their mouth and spew rubbish about Beats you were able to articulate your points and give valid reasons as to why/how you reached your opinions. I am a DJ who uses Beats for my performances and I like the active noise cancelling because it helps me kill outside noise when I am mixing, it is also loud enough for me to hear my cued mixes in a loud environment and since a lot of djs use the beat of a song (and mostly the bass) for beat matching Beats punchy but not overpowering bass helps you get the rhythm of the song for mixing. However, I do not like the headband cause I just replaced mine as I write this comment, so I know what you are talking about. I also generally feel the Beats Studio 2.0 is very comfortable cause I wear mine for performances as long as 5-6hrs at a stretch. With regards to the price, to each its own. One may feel Beats is too expensive some may feel for its ok. Its similar to the same way some people may feel Benz or BMW may be overly expensive as opposed to Lexus. Hence, the price is a very subjective matter. Overall, I like Beats and mostly I like the fact that your review is HONEST.
+DJ Flowtunes THANK YOU for the input!! I agree, a lot of the Beats-hate is just regurgitated internet talk about being overpriced, etc. I have no reason to lie, it's not like Beats is paying me like Richard Sherman or anything lol
Definitely reassuring to see someone with no or even a negative bias to this brand give it the honest and all encompassing review it deserves being a bluetooth headset. I am happy I watched this before making a purchase.
+Anthony Alvarado Montoya has nothing to do with "the brand" compare them side by side with bose and bose is much more crisp clear sound over beats. I want to like the beats but dollar for dollar they arent worth the same price as bose
+Josh Rondeau Thanks for the input Josh! You have a perfectly valid opinion and I think some of it just boils down to preference. I actually just did a review on the Bose QC25, if you wanna check it out: th-cam.com/video/YH7ZZ9_uP_Y/w-d-xo.html
+Anthony Alvarado Montoya And that's all that matters Anthony! I don't think Josh was trying to troll, people just have different opinions and we don't all have to agree. Different strokes, different folks!
trolling? please. all I said was compare both beats to bose the sound quality does not compare dollar for dollar. Im am not bashing beats they are a very good headphone but to get the best bang for your buck Bose is it. Its even crazy to me people are paying $380 for beats over the $280 bose. I have prices come down to around $300 but still not the best "value". Im not trolling your decision. I am just voicing an opinion on comparing the the two sets that are commonly compared. I happen to want the best I can get for my money is all.
I don't generally comment, but I have to say this is one of the best reviews I've ever ready. Well produced and very informative - the only review that answered ALL my questions - including confirming that the current version was released in 2013. Thank you!
Believe it or not, picked these up at a game store recently for $80. The bosses son didn't need them so he put them on display. Coming from the QC-25's, K7xx's and m50's, these are by far the most "lively" of the lot. Very recommended for when you just wanna feel the music [:
Jacob ofc its good for that money. Everyone would buy it for that money. But the majority won't get a decent beats in an acceptable quality for 80 bucks
So I had beats 2.0 wireless white for about 8 months and I would really recommend.one reason I would say this headset is good is battery it stays on for a really good time like A whole day and charges pretty quick plus lights turn on while is charging so that’s cool.another reason is style looks good and I still don’t see any scratches on my beats and trust me I’m not a very organized person so my beats have hit places and no scratches.also the main reason is sound and I have to say it’s very good coming from a guy who loves music trust me also its very good on base and I could hear my artist very good/The Weeknd😁and one thing I like is you can blast your music all the way up and people around you can’t hear it as loud which is good.for those who think the price is to high I would wait and check out Best Buy for sale in these headsets I got them for 165$ last year 2017 around October n they do usually go on sale so wait for sale on beats and get them trust me 165 brand new if you guys have any question just ask me and I’ll gladly answer and no I’m not a sponsor ohh and it connects as soon as you set your Bluetooth on it like very quick so you don’t have to wait but ask me question and I’ll answer 100% honesty or when best time to get them cheaper
Beats are legit Headphones if you get them at a good price .... people knock them because they're pricey BUT so are Louie Vuitton purses and Ralph Lauren Jeans .... I own a pair of the around the Ear studios got a sweet price all the chicks dig the Beats also it's a win win lol
Thank you for what is actually an objective and non-biased review. I have heard so much hate for this headphones (which I initially shared). I bought the Studio2 Wireless yesterday. They don't sound as good as my Shure SRH840s (in terms of pure accuracy), but they have ANC (which isn't perfect, but a damn sight better than none) and they're bluetooth, which is great because I absolutely positively hate having wires (especially the heavy-duty coiled cable on the Shures) dangling around my desk. So, for what they do (ANC, wireless, expressive sound rather than clinical/reference), they're a great set of headphones. I know that I paid a premium for the brand and identity, but they tick the specific boxes I'm looking for better than the competition. Oh, and internal battery, recharging via USB. I still can't believe you have to shove a AAA battery into the Bose QC. In short... Beats Studio2 for work and mobility, Shure SRH840 for a dedicated "listening session". The right tools for the right job and right environment.
+Richard Walker Yup! I definitely agree with your analysis. Pure sound quality-wise, s(h)ure, there's better out there. But in terms of features like Bluetooth/Active noise-canceling/Rechargeable battery, then there's much less competitors with the same specs. Enjoy :-)
You actually managed to be the first to give a real honest review about these. Great video! They are still overpriced though xD I would slap a 250-300 dollar price on them.
+Danté Thank you!!! I agree, and it's nice to see they're going for about 260 on Amazon right now. I read in another comment you have the Bose QC25, mind sharing your thoughts on those headphones as well? :-)
+Danté Ahh! My mistake lol. Well I'm glad to hear you liked them, I'm going to have to do a review on those soon. And what a coincidence, I'm planning to film my review on the M50x this weekend. How are you liking those?
+ODi Productions Haha that's awesome! Well I really really like them. In my opinion those are the best headphones that you can get for the price. Here in The Netherlands they go for €130,- that is very cheap for what you get actually. The build quality is really good, they are comfortable, they sound phenomenal (for the price :) ) and the passive noise cancellation is great. Overall a very great product. Many people say that they are overrated and I think that they are still underrated even though they got a lot of popularity recently :) I love em ;D
+Danté Agreed!! I used to own the original ATH M50s before they got so popular and they were always solid. The new "x" model definitely was an improvement in many categories, namely: sound, comfort, and practicality. I agree that they are probably the best for the price, but there's quite a few more competitors today than before. Have you gotten a chance to watch my review of the V Moda Crossfade M100s? You can watch it here: th-cam.com/video/SCWxEP_Fv84/w-d-xo.html
dillan whitehall People only complain about the price because of the way they are marketed and built. Most beats headphones are not nearly worth what they go for, and this is just because the build and sound quality aren't worth what you pay. They're only the price they are because of Apple's marketing, since they overprice nearly every product because they are a trusted and well known company. Note, I'm not biased towards beats, it's just a sad truth.
Hooray, an accurate review of these beats studio 2 headphones. I hated the original beats by dre because of the horrid ott bass which was artificially pumped up for hip hop and electronic thumping drone music. The latest beats are significantly better and I now love these beats studio 2 wireless, so much so I've grabbed 3 sets in different colours, gold and metallic sky being my favourite. Sound has greatly improved and they are very sturdy and comfortable for long listening periods. I have other headphones like parrot zik 2 and Bose wireless, plus a set of Nokia purity pro which I can highly recommend and the beats compare quite favourably with most of these.
thank you! that was finally a good review! so much crap out there on youtube! this is clear and it tells me what i need to know when im interested in buying these things. very good keep it up!
I'm extremely happy with my beats wireless, I work in the construction field and they last the whole day. They stay in place and they rock when I'm looking for that experience. I like the case, and they seem to charge pretty fast. I got the 2 year warranty on mine. Had a month left on it, returned them due to some unfortunate mishap right before the warranty expired. And wala was directed to go grab another pair at no cost, looking forward to long use with these new titanium colored onesie, had the blue ones before.👍👍👍
wow! great review... as you said, an honest one. Some other reviews mention that, because it's wireless, there's a noticeable delay on the audio when watching a video. Did you get a chance to test that area? If so, what's your opinion?
Antonio Macias Thank you! Regarding any audio delay, I personally haven't experienced any when I used the Bluetooth with my Macbook, but I think this is an issue that has come up with phones and tablets. I'm not sure if the issue is with the current Bluetooth technology, but Apple has released a firmware update that addresses the lag :-)
Seems to be an honest review with no over-the-top raves about any one feature and some negative criticism but no downright slamming of these headphones. Thank you for your well balanced review.
They need to do reviews more like you. GREAT REVIEW!!!! Please do a review on the SMS Audio street by 50 headphones. Are the SMS audio ANC headphones better than these?!?!
biggybtoussaint THANK YOU!! I haven't gotten a chance to try them, but I would love to get my hands on a pair especially after all the 50 Cent controversy going on right now haha!
biggybtoussaint Preachhh man! No way in hell a clever guy like 50 would just go broke all of a sudden. You know what they say... any publicity is good publicity.
+biggybtoussaint As an owner of the SMS audio ANC's, I had the opportunity to compare them with the beats studio wired version. In my opinion is that the SMS's are better because they had an even stronger yet clean bass, about the same mids and highs, and far better noise cancellation. The SMS's were also cheaper, costing $280 at full price compared to $300, and on Amazon they cost $150 right now compared to the beats which are around $200.However, the beats were more comfortable given that the ear cushions were much softer, there was less clamping force, and the SMS's are far larger, resulting in a less discreet look. Bottom line is, the SMS's are the better performers, whereas the beats are easier to live with, and you do get one more cable in the beats than the SMS's.
Kevin Qin Thanks. I got the SMS ANC headphones about 3 weeks ago. I've tried the beats 2 and everything you said is very true. Incredible bass and super clear. I could care less about the big look it has. I didn't purchase them for fashion I got them for sound and it has superb sound!!!
First time watcher. Excellent job. Effort was organized, concise, and seem to be very objective. I also like how you included well-known industry and reviewer biases. Good job bro.
People keep complaining that beats are overpriced, yet the "Jesus Headphone" they pray to each night-the Bose Qc25- is $300, same as the wired beats 2.0. Sometimes it seems people hate beats just to hate beats.
The only thing I don't like, is spinning around 3 times counter clockwise to skip a single track. Sometimes I get dizzy when I want to listen to a track that is late in the album.
Johnny Jouha let me just tell you that you're missing out on actual good headphone quality and audio. While beats look good, they sound horrible for their pricing. Get a headset from Sennheiser or Audio Technica, often times they're cheaper, but much better sounding.
just purchased a pair of beats studio 2.0 wireless for $280 on amazon, if you are looking for a good sale go to amazon asap cause you will save $100. Still waiting for mine to come in but I'm super excited!!
If you plan to spend $300 on a pair and are ok with them only lasting a few months, go ahead and buy them! Bought a Studio wireless pair on 11/14 at an Apple Store here in Florida (they don't offer an extended warranty). 1.5 years later, after using them mostly at home, the headband cracks, left earpad coming apart. Took it back to the apple store, asked for an estimate.....I was told that i could decline if I wanted to. A few days later, they offered me a "replacement' (because they decided not to repair them, but instead trashing them) for....wait for it....$422! More than they cost new.........WTF!? So yeah, I won't recommend them to anyone.
+football68541 Right because nobody would buy the $20 knock offs from china and resell them for over $100 making four times their investment in profit. That's sarcasm btw
+TechBlade No shit. Obviously you gotta look at the feedback of the seller and take the risk. After that just compare yours to a video to your headphones. I got mine for 110.
Haters that hate beats and apple products, it's only because they use skull candy head phones and a blackberry, they simply can't afford the products. They r just salty
Awesome satisfying review, u covered up everything.... Just one question, is it favorable for alternative and metal genre.? I really hope u answer my question cuz only then i can decide to buy one or skip it..
+Mohd Nasir If anything, the genres where the Beats excel the most would be heavier music such as metal and alternative, along with hip hop and EDM. The genres where the Beats are not as good would be softer music like classical and jazz. That's my opinion.
I love my Beats Studio 2. Plus I just got them at Best Buy for $159. Time will tell how durable they are but very happy with well balanced sound and at the price I paid extremely satisfied.
I absolutely agree about the first gen Studio Beats! Note the power Beats 2 wireless were holy crap awesome! I also bought the Studio Beats 2.0 (wired) and I actually Like them. I also have a home studio where I do use traditional studio headphones because theses are NOT for studio use. They do not provide a flat response. Over all I am happy with my purchase of the wired. I just bought a set of the 2 0 wireless (model shown in your video here).
Very well done review, tyvm! I recently bought these headphones and found your review when I was searching for more info on the noise cancelling feature. I'm a little disappointed in this aspect as I expected better noise reduction but since I keep hearing/reading others give positive feedback about this I'm wondering if it can actually be configured, and if so...how? Other than this I LOVE my Beats Studio Wireless Headphones and I am especially impressed with the sound quality!
+Patrick Wallwork Great to hear! Regarding the noise canceling, it is automatically switched when music is playing or not playing. I can feel your disappointment if you expected the non-music noise-canceling to completely block out ambient sound, which is definitely not the case as you probably learned. With that said, the noise-canceling is pretty strong when music is playing at a moderate volume. I believe that Bose is king when it comes to just pure noise-canceling technology. With that said, I prefer the sound signature of the Beats as far as the two brands are concerned.
Great review. I'm really keen to grab a pair but they've been around for ages now I don't know if it's worth waiting for a new release. I haven't been able to find any info on a new pair, have you heard anything?
+TheSuperfRYE Not to my knowledge, no. The Beats Solo 2 wireless just came out a few months ago so I'm not sure if they're gonna do an update for at least a year or 2...
Thanks! So you can raise or lower the volume with the ring, and then the Beats logo button can be used to play/pause, skip to next song or rewind to previous. I tested this was the old iPhone 5 and it worked perfectly. Should work flawlessly with any newer phones of today.
Best Buy has them for $189 right now! I went ahead and splurged for these for gaming and music for my pc. I kept my Sony MDR-7506 for my music production.
Great review! Definitely the best and most informative I've seen on these headphones. I'm considering buying these for my bf who is into producing music, he likes the Beats brand but I'm concerned about durability. Some reviews claim that they aren't durible or that there's problems with the battery, if something goes wrong with the battery the headphones itself doesn't work. What are your thoughts on it's durability so far, especially if they're going to be used on a daily basis?
+Myie16 Awesome! Well honestly, durability is the weak point of these headphones. Although I've seen people bend the headband without trouble, they simply don't feel that durable in my hands. I've never encountered a personal problem with them but I'd look elsewhere if durability is one of the main concerns. If your bf is into producing then you should check out the Audio Technica ATH M50s which are much much more durable and actually made for studio use. They're also about $100+ cheaper!
+ODi Productions got the white and gold edition very happy, but will prob snap if they get a speck of dirt on them. prob spray them with dirt and oil repellent
Great review! Just ordered these BUT on eBay! I agree too high on retail pricing. Snagged them on eBay for $198.00 😎 (brand new in box). Just for anyone who shops a lot online eBay is a better option than Amazon on most occasions but I always price compare shop between the 2. But with eBay you are going to get a little for assurance and "insurance" that no shady business will occur because they even implement a buyers protection clause unlike Amazon. As for the BEATS I got the Beats Solo 2's in bright Pink (wired) during Black Friday for $96 and I actually enjoy them a lot!
+Dimplez816 I am also a big fan of Ebay as well, but I mostly do shopping on Amazon lately. It is very good advice to use both of them while shopping :-)
+Nunsweepit421 lmao definitely NOT fakes smh. I've gotten my MacBook Pro, IPad Air 2, etc. from creditable eBay sellers. Idk what you do, but you can continue to pay retail pricing if you like...as for me I will continue to find DEALS for expensive merchandise I want! 😁
+Dimplez816 Fair enough. Still risky In my opinion though. One day you just might get bit. I'm happy to pay full retail price because I can afford to from reputable stores knowing I can approach then if necessary if there are any problems. Good luck. Have a good day.
+Nunsweepit421 Well they say reading is fundamental...lol...if you read my initial comment, eBay has a BUYERS PROTECTION clause which stipulates in the event some shady stuff goes down w/ a transaction between you & an eBay seller, you are PROTECTED & hey will reimburse you. Personally, I have shopped on eBay since like 2010 & have only had MAYBE 2 bad experiences where I needed to use this buyers protection feature & eBay was great about handling it. In addition to eBay I ALSO pay for my purchases online using PayPal. Doing this I add an extended protection to my online purchases as PayPal has their own separate 180 day window to file claims outside of eBays 90 days. Not to mention, you MUST read seller reviews BEFORE purchasing. Also, I too CAN afford retail 😉 lol, but why shop "harder" when you can shop smarter?🤔. I tend to be very good about shopping online & not just on eBay where more than likely I'm spending less than retail on something. You just have to know where to look...
Most people who hate the beats headphone lineup have never used them. A non biased opinion (mine) says it's a nice, simplistic, unique experience. It puts out decent sound, I'm not an audio file myself. I enjoy the design of their headphones you have to admit they are a real showpony. Most people don't pay full price for these example the hefty $350 Apple is asking for the pair of studio wireless 2.0 can be found for about $200 online actually from credible places like Kmart and Best Buy. All in all its a great experience and you should give them a chance.
thank you, I have never bought headphones over $20 lol so when looking at some for watching tv, and while cleaning house's , thought of getting some of these beats while on sale for black friday, I saw that their was 3 different kinds (beats, solo, and EP) so decided to do my homework , especially since im in my 50's and am not up to date with all the tech. I knew right away I wanted the beats studio, I googled them, found your video, thought, I'll never listen for 10 minutes, but i did! I was very intrigued, and impressed!! you we're very informative , thanks : ) Tina K
Thanks for updated video to this present time, youtube seems to filter a lot of things.. great tone, and vocabulary used... but one thing the music tends to dominate more than your speech a little bit hard to hear. but overall a great presentation mate. I'm in between headphones at the moments and i'm open for change, i've had 3 products of Beats Original's and 2.0's one thing i loved is over punchy bass great cinematic experience it has, but i'm open to change for Sony MDR XB950N1's Extra Bass i'm looking forward to them. Have you used them before?
The best review and nonbiased review I've seen so far my question now would you use these headphones for travel. And since I listen more to edm do your think I should go buy these beats or the go with sennheiser pxc450
+jbarah05 THANK YOU! I would most certainly use the Beats Wireless for travel thanks to the noise cancelation. As far as those Sennheisers go, they're actually not a great value for their price point considering that some Beats Wireless have been found for around 250. Furthermore, I think the best Sennheiser headphones are their open-back, non-noise canceling headphones. If noise cancellation is a must for you, you may want to have a look at Bose's QuietComfort series as they really do shine when it comes to noise cancelation.
thank you for the review. I was interest in the sound quality of the bluetooth vs wired. I've researched tons about it. IM in the middle about beats. I have Beats Audio in my car which i just terrible but as far as headphone go I look for the fun factor. I am glad to hear that my recent purchase of the wireless studios will not be a waste. my ext purchase is the OPPO PM-3
+craig wall Nice! Yeah, there is no difference in sound quality between Bluetooth and wired thanks to the latest Bluetooth technology. Enjoy and let me know how you like em.
Do they need a full charge before using out the box ? I was wondering because calibration is a sticky subject by product. Great review by the way. Thanks
A good clean review ... Ive owned a few beats headphones in the past - for me the Beats Mixrs were the best all round sound ... I do a lot of at home listening and also on the go travelling listening ... For home I use the Sennheiser Momentum Version 2 Wired & B&W P7 ... As for travelling I use the Atomic Floyd Superdarts in ears but now Im looking for a overhead for gym use ... These revamped beats might just be the ones...
+Divesh Raval Wow those are some awesome cans! I 100% agree with you that the Mixr's have the best sound overall out of the entire Beats headphones. So crisp and powerful. Too bad I can't wear those for more than 10 minutes without hurting my head haha. I also love the Sennheiser Momentums, and they're going for way cheaper now on Amazon. If you're looking for a quality over-ear headphone, have you ever tried a pair of V-Moda Crossfade M100s?
BENJY FRANK Thanks man! Honestly they're not for everyone, but I think these sound pretty decent. As far as I know, the Beats Pro haven't been updated since their release in 2010-11 and the new Beats Wireless were updated at the end of 2013-early 2014. So with that considered, I think the Beats Wireless are a step up from the Pros due to all the new features and daily usability.
I'm not an audiophile but I know bad audio when I hear it. You mentioned that the Beats are geared toward the more modern music such as Hip-Hop and etc, but what about ALL genres? I'm a man of many likes and my library consists of almost EVERYTHING from classical music to rap, from oldies to new age, from easy listening to Metal, and Country to Hip-Hop! My taste spans almost every genre of music out there. I don't necessarily latch on to a specific genre. I more or less latch on to individual songs that I hear and like. Hence my wide range So, with that said, I've been looking for a very good set of wireless Bluetooth headphones for computer use since i almost exclusively listen to my music when on the computer via my iTunes library and occasionally I'll take it with me via my iPod Touch. Would you recommend these to me or is there a better, less expensive alternative to the Beats brand that will be just as good? (or better) Thanks for any recommendations or opinions.
I would definitely recommend the beats studio wireless 2 for all music genres, old style beats were horrendous but beats have upped their game since switching to apple and have totally toned down from the bass heavy past, sound from these cans now is much more over the whole sound spectrum but still with a punchy enough bass, I was that impressed with the new model that i have 3 sets in varying colours so I don't wear one set all the time and wear them out lol, you can find some pretty good deals on eBay for them but there are fakes doing the rounds as well so be aware
The Beats Studio 2 Wireless will work great with all genres now but obviously excels with genres focusing on low bass. The headphones are on the bassy side too so other genres will have a bit more lows than you might be used to. The active noise cancellation works wonders too but the low hiss it emits as a result will be a turn off to some. At their sticker price of $379, you can obviously find better alternatives. At their current pricing at $229-$249, they're much better buy now and unless you're looking for absolutely flat sound, the Studio 2's should do you well. The original wired only model is cheaper at around $100-150 too if you don't care too much about the color options and Bluetooth.
I was in the market for a pair of noise cancellation wireless headphones. These were on my list, but I fell to the Bose hype and bought the Bose Quiet Comfort 35. Had them one day and took them back to Best Buy the next day. They have NO bass, and if your music has a moderate amount of bass and you turn up your volume, the Bose struggle, you can hear the static from the speakers trying to maintain the bass. So I took them back and purchased the Beats Studio Wireless in Titanium. Maaannn Listen, the music quality was a 180 degree turnaround. The bass is tight without sounding muddled and nice highs and mid-range. I so should have stuck with my gut and bought these first!!!
Great review dude. would you choose the Bose Quietcomfort 35 over this Studio. they are priced the same and the silver Bose one looks very nice. Dont know what to choose
I would choose the QC35 over the Studio wireless because it's much more updated (3 years newer) with better comfort and sound quality. In case you haven't seen my QC35 review, here it is as well: th-cam.com/video/1_tv6Dyu9sw/w-d-xo.html

+Mason Bulot Haha!! Nice man. Unfortunately my only gaming rig is my PS4. Would be cool to make a custom PC one day...
***** it's not hard to do at all. And you can games on the major cheap.
Its a fashion statement run by marketing geniuses.Dee T.
I liked how you don't show a clear bias. You include both pros and cons and don't flat out say these headphones are trash or amazing. Just the facts. Good job man
Appreciate that a ton man! That's my mission with this channel.
BRAND NEW for 2017! I reviewed the new Beats Solo 3 Wireless headphones here: th-cam.com/video/r26ecZ07bEM/w-d-xo.html
So whats the difference between Beats Studio Wireless and Beats Studio 2.0 Wireless? Or do they even make a 2.0?
Dustin Markward I'm pretty sure these headphones are not the 2.0 based on the amazon link in the description
Beats Studio Wireless were created when Monster was partnered with Beats. These are the first line of Studios and were terrible. The Beats Studio 2.0 Wireless were created after Monster split with Beats and then Beats redesigned the Studios and they sounded much better and were more durable.
ODi Productions new beats studio 3
ODi Productions it's sad monster never updated they headphones like the monster inspiration Over Ear and the DNA ON Ear.
This review excels visually, auditorily, and in vocabulary. Picking up a pair tomorrow!
Žonatan Rivera Wow that is the kindest comment I have ever received. THANK YOU!!
+ODi Productions awesome reveiw...cracked me up a couple times
is the sound quality good?
Blucera 123 it's a bit lacking in mids and bass
This man has a point
Ur right
Not gonna lie, I buy beats for the hype not the quality.
exactly
Couldn't help but sub :)
ibruceleeonyoass55 THANK YOU!! I appreciate it, I do try to be as fair as possible and not get caught up in the brand wars.
+Josh Rondeau Are you honestly trolling the comments for someone to argue with? Pathetic. I made my purchase and I'm happy with it, thank you.
Thank you!
+Greg Giannone Your comment means a lot to me! Thank you!
This was a great review, I ordered my beats before I watched this video but you reassured me that I didn't make the wrong choice.
Appreciate it! Hope you enjoy your purchase.
Who else is listening to this with their beats 😂
I will be in a few more days
Believe it or not, picked these up at a game store recently for $80. The bosses son didn't need them so he put them on display. Coming from the QC-25's, K7xx's and m50's, these are by far the most "lively" of the lot. Very recommended for when you just wanna feel the music [:
+Jacob Very, very well said. Thanks for the input!
+Alex Alejandre I do not disagree with this! Thanks for the honest input :-)
Alex Alejandre People don’t trash LV and Ralph Lauren because they serve their purpose well
Thank you for what is actually an objective and non-biased review.
Enjoy :-)
Best review of this product on TH-cam. Thank you.
MUCH Appreciated!!
This is 100% the best review i have EVER seen. Keep up this fantastic work man!
THANK YOU!!! More to come soon
+ODi Productions I actually said that I tried out the QC25 :P a friend has them. I personaly use the m50x for music :)
You can watch it here: th-cam.com/video/SCWxEP_Fv84/w-d-xo.html
most people hating on beats haven't even tried them on at a store or something, they're just saying it when they shouldn't
Nope. I tried them and they are bad. Like, not worth 400 bucks.
Y'all taking bout they cost to much money , not they fault y'all broke . get y'all bands up
+dillan whitehall You are a Beats brand poster boy, right? I applaud you, you magnificent buffoon, you.!
+COLSLW your comment was the best I swear to fuck.
Jessica
***** aye fool at least my part-time job isn't "allowance from mom" you punk ass
dillan whitehall People only complain about the price because of the way they are marketed and built.
+Squier255 Very much appreciated!! :-)
And wala was directed to go grab another pair at no cost, looking forward to long use with these new titanium colored onesie, had the blue ones before.👍👍👍
+frank mathis Wow that's clutch. Thanks for the input and enjoy!!
Excellent review..! Overall as a whole I like these headphones for everyday use
Much appreciated!!
That was the best BEATS review i've seen so far.. love how compare Enjoyable Headphones & Accurate Headphones.. Great JOB
keon Alexander THANK YOU! Yes, I felt that was a big issue that had to be discussed, and clears up a lot of myths about the whole Beats controversy.
wow! great review... as you said, an honest one.
+John Sorge Exactly what I'm goin for! Appreciate it greatly
***** LOL 50 Cent sayin he BROKE?? ha don't believe it for a second!!
biggybtoussaint Preachhh man!
+Edmund Gil Much, much appreciated Edmund!!
This review was amazing and very helpful. Thank You!!!!
Appreciated!!
these headphones are currently on sale at best buy for 200.00 usd I bought an open item for 183. worth the money! thanks for the awesome video
Appreciate the feedback and that's a smoking deal you got!
I bought beats studio wireless 2016 for 100$ (379zł) in Poland
People keep complaining that beats are overpriced, yet the "Jesus Headphone" they pray to each night-the Bose Qc25- is $300, same as the wired beats 2.0. Sometimes it seems people hate beats just to hate beats.
Bro I legit commented this fucking 4 months ago.
Y the fuck u reply if it's so old?
Not mad, just wondering
+PRO_ Dingleballz im replying to a fucking old ass comment. wheres my prize?
btw returned my beats and upgraded to sennheiser :)
Right here you beautiful legend!
Definitely one of, if not the BEST review I've watched on these headphones. Thank you!
+TheRobbSki Your comment is greatly appreciated my friend! :-)
Good review, thanks
Appreciated !
The only thing I don't like, is spinning around 3 times counter clockwise to skip a single track. Sometimes I get dizzy when I want to listen to a track that is late in the album.
Excellent review. Got straight to the point no bull shit . Subbed!
Much appreciated! Got another Bluetooth headphone review coming soon
Simple clear reviews for once. Very helpful thank you 👏🏼
I Love Beats Products😍
Same
+Vincent Nunez 👊🏿 i have 5 pair of beats
+Johnny Jouha I have the old studio beats. The faux leather started peeling off and the bass is too damn high.
+Justin Kunkel Great deal, I included the Amazon link in the blog article.
So whats the difference between Beats Studio Wireless and Beats Studio 2.0 Wireless? Or do they even make a 2.0?
sound leakage improved, wireless, and that's all from the top of my head
James how can you tell if your buying a first gen or second or third gen ones
Such a good review! Glad you pointed out the prices and links too!
Much appreciated :-)
They spend all their money on marketing and aesthetics... sound quality not worth what you pay for
I like it
They sound fine to me. They look great, features are pretty good. They don't even cost 300 bucks anymore.
+Taylor Williams True... now that they go for around 260-280 they're getting more reasonable.
+ODi Productions i just got some for 150 but they are wired
+kyle murrill (ThatSlothDoe) I hear the Wired versions are louder and battery lasts longer I went with wired also.
I picked these up cuz my solo 3s died on me like earlier this year it only cost me $60 off offer up which was a shock and they’re good
If you plan to spend $300 on a pair and are ok with them only lasting a few months, go ahead and buy them!
They last more than 3 months. I had my Beats Studio 1st Gen for 3 years.
My solo hds still work to this day, don't know your experiences though..
+Jason raley i thought we were talking about the Studio 2nd generation model, as seen in the video.....?
THOM G I haven't used the studios long enough to judge, but so far my experiences with beats have been fine
I've had a pair for 5 years and I was worried at first but they've even working since then and I just ordered another.
I have used it for more than two years and it has been great. I am now going for the latest model wireless 3.
best buy sells them for 249.99
the wired ones on ebay theyre 115 and wiresless for 160
+football68541 Those are fake!!
+TechBlade Nope, theyre not! You just don't gotta be a dumbass.
Great review! I just picked up a pair of these on sale at Best Buy, and I'm loving them so far.
+Alex Rowe Awesome!! Glad to hear it. Enjoy :-)
Haters that hate beats and apple products, it's only because they use skull candy head phones and a blackberry, they simply can't afford the products. They r just salty
Nope, it's because they are genuinely not worth the price
And neither are Skullcandys or Blackberrys. Sennheiser and Focal FTW
+Tomahawk Studios ummmmm sennheiser is the best headphone company....
+Dylan Thomas That's what he said
Exactly. I love my HD 600s and Momentums
Thnx for ur suggestion, much appreciated..
I would never buy this. Since i got this for free I am happy with my pair of headphones
Dude i see you in every video i swear
I love my Beats Studio 2. Plus I just got them at Best Buy for $159. Time will tell how durable they are but very happy with well balanced sound and at the price I paid extremely satisfied.
getting mine on crismas for same price
I bought a refurbished one from amazon just about a month ago and it's amazing. Definitely worth 200 bucks.
Kevin Amarbayar good luck 😂
Great review. I'm really keen to grab a pair but they've been around for ages now I don't know if it's worth waiting for a new release. I haven't been able to find any info on a new pair, have you heard anything?
+TheSuperfRYE Not to my knowledge, no. The Beats Solo 2 wireless just came out a few months ago so I'm not sure if they're gonna do an update for at least a year or 2...
Hey love the vid, whats the controls like for blutooth control? Volume, next song etc.
And which device did you pair it with?
Thanks! So you can raise or lower the volume with the ring, and then the Beats logo button can be used to play/pause, skip to next song or rewind to previous. I tested this was the old iPhone 5 and it worked perfectly. Should work flawlessly with any newer phones of today.
Top quality review, really high level and informative. Thank you very much :)
+Fred Scar Very much appreciated!!
Thought I was watching in full HD, but then it was on 480p. Keep up the good work
+Jacob Castrone Appreciate it!!
I’m picking these up next Wednesday thax 4 the review it’s straight to the point and u don’t bullshit with it
just picked myself up a pair if these and really love the sound they produce. imo def worth the money and i like how they look and feel too.
+william schum Nice William! Glad to hear you made the right purchase.
+ODi Productions got the white and gold edition very happy, but will prob snap if they get a speck of dirt on them. prob spray them with dirt and oil repellent
+william schum Haha! Gotta keep those lookin spotless.
Great review. Very professional. You just earned a sub.
Welcome to the channel!
+ODi Productions thanks
+Dimplez816
Bad mistake. You probably got fakes!
+Dimplez816
Fair enough.
Pretty dam good review, you covered everything! Thanks man!!
+Jonah Louis Much appreciated!
Subscribed. Best review ever man. I see these on on a website for now I Friday $150. Great deal right?
+Orangeboy73733 Appreciate it! And that's the lowest price I've ever heard of...
great video! Is it normal to have alot of sound leakage when the volume is raised pretty high ?
thank you, I have never bought headphones over $20 lol so when looking at some for watching tv, and while cleaning house's , thought of getting some of these beats while on sale for black friday, I saw that their was 3 different kinds (beats, solo, and EP) so decided to do my homework , especially since im in my 50's and am not up to date with all the tech. I knew right away I wanted the beats studio, I googled them, found your video, thought, I'll never listen for 10 minutes, but i did! I was very intrigued, and impressed!! you we're very informative , thanks : ) Tina K
That was a really impressive video. I like your art style.
Thanks!! Appreciate that
Very informative video. Thank you! Also, if you don't mind me asking, what type of video camera did you use to record this video?
+jcrockstarhn Appreciate that! And I used a Canon T4i with the stock lens.
Great Review, But I am confused which one to select JBL Everest Elite 700 or Beats Studio 2.0 Wireless.
The JBLs are very nice, I'd probably go with those for sound quality
Dope review. You really laid out everything wonderfully. Keep it up!
Thank you! Appreciate it
Thanks for updated video to this present time, youtube seems to filter a lot of things..
great tone, and vocabulary used... but one thing the music tends to dominate more than your speech a little bit hard to hear. but overall a great presentation mate.
I'm in between headphones at the moments and i'm open for change, i've had 3 products of Beats Original's and 2.0's one thing i loved is over punchy bass great cinematic experience it has, but i'm open to change for Sony MDR XB950N1's Extra Bass
i'm looking forward to them. Have you used them before?
Learned a lot from this video. Picking my pair up right now! Thank you!
+jack pirozzi Awesome!! Let me know how you like them :-)
Your review was so very greater than most others that I have seen.
Thank you
The best review and nonbiased review I've seen so far my question now would you use these headphones for travel.
This was such a nice review, there was little hate and little favoritism.
+Aaron Malley Appreciate it Aaron!
Great review man !!!! Thinking of getting a pair , matte black looks sick
+Gianluca Spagnuolo Appreciate it! The matte black is definitely sleek.
Great overall review. Very informative. Thanks!
+Michelle Cantwell Very much appreciated!
thank you for the review.
These are better than today's Beats
Great review! Hard to find those nowadays. Good on ya m8!
+Raven Nation Appreciate it!!
Do they need a full charge before using out the box ? I was wondering because calibration is a sticky subject by product. Great review by the way. Thanks
Great video, Loved the quality
Appreciated!
Great review Odi I'm not that much of a fan of the beats wireless I own a few and also the beats pro which isn't wireless how would u compare the two
BENJY FRANK Thanks man!
What's the Bluetooth version on studio 2 ? Is it Bluetooth 2.0 as the name suggests or is it Bluetooth 5.0?
Great review honest and unbiased.
Appreciate it Eric
You should be working for beats, I'm on my way to get myself the same ones you have thanks to this awesome review
+Eliud Sena Haha! I really appreciate that comment :-)
Just saying I have watched a lot of you videos and they are amazing
I'm not an audiophile but I know bad audio when I hear it. You mentioned that the Beats are geared toward the more modern music such as Hip-Hop and etc, but what about ALL genres?
I'm a man of many likes and my library consists of almost EVERYTHING from classical music to rap, from oldies to new age, from easy listening to Metal, and Country to Hip-Hop!
My taste spans almost every genre of music out there. I don't necessarily latch on to a specific genre. I more or less latch on to individual songs that I hear and like. Hence my wide range
So, with that said, I've been looking for a very good set of wireless Bluetooth headphones for computer use since i almost exclusively listen to my music when on the computer via my iTunes library and occasionally I'll take it with me via my iPod Touch.
Would you recommend these to me or is there a better, less expensive alternative to the Beats brand that will be just as good? (or better)
Thanks for any recommendations or opinions.
Garry Robinson bro Dre designed it for rap and hip hop not your emo country shit go listen to that elsewhere.
Thank you for a great review! Very helpful!! Greetings from Sweden :-)
+Lilian Hallberg That's awesome! I would like to visit there someday. Greetings from California :-)
I got studio beats 2.0 for 34 bucks and I gotta say it was an awesome deal for an awesome pair of headphones!!
Thanks for your input! This is why everyone's gotta test it out for themselves sometimes
Awesome detailed review with great background history. Do you happened to also know how well the voice calls are via the Bluetooth?
+Vindi Chang Appreciate it! I've had calls via Bluetooth and it's just as clear as a wired headset.
+ODi Productions thx bro.
Hey ODi, currently there is a sale on BestBuy's website where I can buy these for $190. Should I get them?
I would like to ask if these beats for example are comfortable to use at the gym, and if too much sweat can cause a damage on them.
