nice small detail sir, I hope it will help me replacing my dish. I just got my replacement upgrade from gen 2 to gen 3
I choose standard wall mount for gen 3, starlink give me free upgrade because I used long wall mount for my gen 2

Thank you for the comment. Did your gen2 dish fail as well? Mine was also replaced at no charge and they included the mount.

I got “GPS is not valid” info from debug data,
its been about 2 months and seems ok, but after last 2 weeks update it got very long time when rebooting , around 10 minutes and got slow connection
So I contacted starlink and they offer replacement , since they not making gen 2 anymore, I got gen 3 replacement

@@matomerah Different fault but pretty much the same process I went through.

@@shanesdiy is there any significant different between gen 2 and gen3 ? When using gen 2, between 5 pm - 10 pm, only got about 50Mbps , other than that time I can get around 250 Mbps

@@matomerah I haven't been doing speed tests very often over the last year so can't say with any certainty if the gen3 is faster. Over the last year or so I rarely noticed any issue with the gen2 up until it failed. The gen3 has been working great since I installed it, don't really notice that it is any faster but I only do a speed test if I'm having trouble... I have no complaints so far with the gen3, been working perfectly.

Can I use gen 3 as a mesh for gen 2 router?

That I am not sure about and unfortunately I don't have any way to test that now since the gen3 dish won't plug into the gen2 router/nodes. Do you have a gen2 or gen3 dish?
