Joe Rogan learns about Grand Seiko watches from Matt Farah 🤯 Original Video: • Joe Rogan on Watch Col... . . . . . #joerogan #JRE JREclips #seiko #seikowatches #grandseiko #watches #watchfam #trending
The guest actually covered almost everything when it comes to GS. However, I'd add this: to me Seiko is Toyota, GS Automatic is Lexus, GS Spring Drive is Lexus LFA
my bro did not even explain what a spring drive is. its a hybrid of automatic mechanical and quartz watches. all ya needs to know is that you are the battery.
He doesn't explain that it's a mechanical watch with the accuracy of a quartz watch without a battery. It produces it's own electricity. That's the innovation. Imagine a hybrid car that didn't need gas or a battery.
My grandfather got a Casio Databank back in 1983 when he went to New York. He walked into Gimbles and, in his words, said he wanted a fancy watch. He died in 2004 when I was 6, and I have been wearing that watch ever since. I have never had a single issue with it. I do not understand the point of spending all that money on jewelry.
This was the podcast that completely changed Joes look on watches, he thought they were goofy before this. He learned how intricate they were and got hooked
Seiko is Toyota, Grand seiko is Lexus.
The Swiss stopped holding the accuracy competitions because Grand Seiko started beating them.

The funny thing is after this interview, Joe Rogan became a watch guy and fell down the rabbit hole.
This is the kinda guy who knows just a bit more than people who don't know anything at all and loves to talk like he's an expert.

seiko is genuinely looked at with high regards. they have beautiful watches
I'd take a GS over a Rolex any day. Love Japanese watches.
You can get a Seiko Spring Drive way cheaper than $10,000.

Calling it LFA actually suits it well, considering not everyone love their watches at first, but later found how out amazing it actually is
I love the Seiko's and even the Casio's their built to last do a great job, and give you exactly what you need
Have the Seiko GMT on my wrist right now.
