In this video, I react to a wide variety of different watch-related TikToks. Some of them I more or less agree with and some of them.... not so much. Do you guys go to TikTok for your watch content?

That girl who prescribed personalities to men who wear certain watch brands gave me serious horoscope vibes.
I can't imagine what spending 5 minutes with her would be like, but I think I'd rather wear a cheap quartz watch.
No, what she was doing is much worse. At least horoscope people have like a generally agreed-upon thing for stuff. She’s worse. She’s just talking out of her ass
@@friskjidjidoglu7415that girl has absolutely no clue what she’s talking about. That’s like me making a video about lip gloss brands and women’s personalities
@@friskjidjidoglu7415 And yet I bet she has 10,000 followers. 🤣
Spoken like a true virgo! That girl was totally clueless, best advice is don't date women who watch her content.
"Do I radiate that much dad energy?" Yes, Teddy, yes you do. And we all love it.
He is OUR. daddy
I'd like to hear some dad jokes by Teddy. Just sayin' :]
Hip uncle energy! 😂
Teddy Daddy?
Dad energy=Stable and supportive
The content nobody asked for, but it's the content we all needed.
Preach!
Yes.. Teddy is the batman of Watch TH-cam
Quick Edit: Batman as in the DC Comic hero and not the Rolex. (Thought this clarification would be required in this neighbourhood)
Batman, mmmm more like THOR!!!!
😂😂😂 exactly
These videos don't need to be seen once, let alone again via Teddy
A Submariner feels like the definition of new money
Nah a black aluminum bezel submariner date is the old money everyday beater.
Agree. Datejust is more old money to me.
Given that it’s a watch that is more likely to be passed on than directly purchased, I don’t exactly see that.
Old money is any watch that is quite sensible
@@OscarOSullivan so a casio then?
teddy becoming a polite version of nico leoonard reactions is awsome
😂😂😂
If Teddy starts ripping his shirt off, it's time for an intervention
Spot on!
teddy has good opinions too
A warning sign: if Teddy talks about Casio at least once for three videos in a row.
5:26 Seeing someone so excited about a wristwatch is honestly lovely! The joy is contagious, I hope her passion grows and she finds more watches she loves!
Also lol hey if you're a "dad in spirit" then keep at it Teddy! Honestly feels so welcoming when talking about watches here, no elitism or any of that sort. Just a fun time, like talking to your dad who loves watches with you ^^
As much as we would love for that to happen, reality is that she's a gen z tik toker. That enthusiasm would last for about 5 minutes tops.
The facial expression of Teddy when Fossil watches were mentioned is priceless. 😂
We're making it out of the Seiko AD with this one. Thanks for including me, Teddy!
Be careful what you say about our sweaters
@@moddedtime k dad
The recent uptick of the "Top 10" watch videos with the terrible AI voices and generic watch images that doesn’t match the brand being talked about is comical at best, and makes me appreciate genuine content with actual voices like Teddy's so much more. Happy New Year's to you all.
She spoke about wristwatches “coming back” as if she was talking about pocket watches 😂😂
Wait is it finally my time. Are pocket watches coming back?
WE ARE SO BACK
Reminds me of people saying that vinyl records were "coming back" lol.
"adult woman who hasnt worn a watch since the f91w she got from a christmas cracker" omg watches are back
i'm glad the younger audience started appriciating wristwatch, and not just smart watches all the time
Rolex: New money
Breguet: Old money
Seiko: Understands Value
Richard Mille: Will probably cheat on you.
Hublot: Will definitely cheat on you.
Nomos: Creative
Mr. Jones: Fun
Omega: Self Made
Daniel Wellington: Lemming
💯
Let me guess: you have Seiko, Nomos, Mr Jones, and Omega?
I agree on Rolex and on DW, but everything else makes no sense....
Rolex: God tier.
Breguet: Watch newbie who thinks they're better than other watch collectors just because they've "discovered" a "legendary" watch brand and love to tell everyone about Breguet's innovations but have no idea how a tourbillon actually works.
Seiko: Watch newbie who thinks they're now "enlightened" by wearing a shitty, mass produced, overpriced watch brand.
Hublot: True watch enthusiast who wear what they like and don't care what other people think.
Richard Mille: True watch enthusiast with deep pockets who wear what they like and don't care what other people think.
Daniel Wellington: Normal people who could not care less what "true watch enthusiasts" think.
Nomos: Watch newbie who thinks they're "creative" but actually really boring and can't think for themselves so they have to rely on social media or Reddit to tell them what watch brands to like.
Mr. Jones: Watch newbie who thinks they've discovered a very fun and "quirky" watch brand but actually has a boring cookie-cutter collection like thousands of other "enlightened" watch newbies (always a collection with Nomos, Seiko, Omega, and some shitty cheap vintage watch to show everyone the "versatility" of their collection, then a Mr. Jones to show everyone that they don't "take the hobby seriously").
Omega: People who can't afford a Rolex but LOVE to tell everyone how Omega is better than Rolex.
@@JonathanCho-ni4bv add “for watch newbies” after God Tier and you have this list nailed down.
Loved that girl’s enthusiasm for a wristwatch.
A watch does not need a high value. As long it puts a smile on your face, that is the only thing that matters.
Makes me remember the joy when I picked up my first watch, Casio. Until my recent dream watch, Omega Speedmaster.
congrats on the Speedy. I'm a big Omega fanboy myself. Oddly enough, I just can't own a Speedy because winding it with my fat fingers between those pushers is just awkward. I had to sell my speedy, sadly. But I still have and love my Seamaster Pro and AquaTerra.
@@nedflanders3769 Great timepieces you have there.
Teddy is usually very formal, almost cold and distant, but very professional in his content.
This video is really something else. Oozes some relaxed vibes from an otherwise serious bloke. Twas nice
I don’t find him cold and distant, just controlled passion. I like his style! Watch collectors and enthusiasts come in all forms.
He’s not a regular dad… it’s “cool dad” Teddy
Nah, not cold and distant at all - just that too-rare TH-cam commodity of straightforward, lower volume professionalism, yet always laced with self-effacing, self-aware humor and thoughtfulness you rarely see from a personality who’s also a dealer. He’s clearly laughing with us, for example, at Mr. Wonderful’s calculated brashness (great shtick)- and having a good time doing so. Thanks, Teddy, for keeping it fun, honest and low key, in the best way.
Cold as ICE
Wear my Seiko to repel annoying tiktok girls, got it.
I just bought a Seiko watch. Am i cooked?
Fair play 🗿
I’m a 15 year old kid and you were the first TH-camr that really spoke to me, you basically got me into collecting watches. Thanks a lot man!
Right on! Gotta start them young. What's your favorite watch?
@@90SecondWatch my favourite watch is my custom Vostok Amphibia, might not seem like a lot and it’s not a well known brand but they make everything, including the movement, themselves. I have 5 watches now, a Seiko SNXS79K, Casio A700WE-1AEF, custom Vostok Amphibia, a older Breil Tribe and a new Casio MTP Tiffany
Best part of the video. 6:06 “Wristwatches are back!”
Thank goodness for that. Otherwise I’m wasting my days on what, buggy whips and steam engines?
Happy New Year, Teddy!
You have no idea how much the world loves seeing you in a casual video setting
The whole video felt like big fat callout for Ted’s dad energy 😂
Teddy confused that he gives off Dad energy followed by proceeding to give financial wisdom is the best start to my day.
I LOVE Teddy's more casual, fun energy here. Dad energy is best.
I have owned a PRX (40mm Green Dial) for over a year now and I still love love love this watch. Teddy you're absolutely right. We need to find love with what we have and cherish them
The girl calling Seiko owners psychos in the clip has un-ironically brought on "It's on-sight" energy from a whole lot of watch collectors 😂😂😂
I love that you're exploring different types of content. It was fun to watch.
2023 was when I discovered your channel and bought my first 2 watches (Seiko) - each to celebrate a different achievement. Now I am looking forward to celebrating more achievements with more watches in 2024 and beyond.
Happy new year to you and to the watch lovers community!
welcome to the addiction, I mean hobby!
Been 15 Years on TH-cam , and I have to say this has been one of my favorite channels to see rise. Somehow teddy manages to be humble and likeable when talking about any watch. Happy new years to the team and see you all next year
0:40 Getting people to talk about watches is definitely the fight that we need to fight the most.
It is the pinnacle. 😂
Here's what I did when I got into watch collecting: I looked over the top watches that I liked for almost a year without acquiring one. Some were affordable while others were too expensive for my budget. Then, when the right occasion came (in my case, a career milestone), I purchased the one watch that I favored most throughout the entire year (a mid-range price model) and also got three different styles of bands/straps to wear with it on different occasions (leather, Milanese, and rubber). This checked off most, if not all boxes I had wished for my first piece. Very happy with it and I now have a better sense of what other watches will complement my collection in the future.
Thank you Teddy for keeping us sane this year with your videos, but can't say the same about those insane tiktoks
Loved this Teddy! A bit tongue in cheek and a bit of fun, the grandpa sweater joke was hugely funny as well, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed at a Teddy video before but the self deprecating style was brilliantly executed.
It felt like this video was Teddy's full personality on display. Very fun to watch!
"you don't get a sense of what you like until you make some mistakes" I got goosebumps after he said this because it's TRUE 100%
Submariner is not old money, it is a celebration of adding a third truck to your roofing business
Brilliant! 😂😊 always great informative content, but it's always nice to have a little fun... especially in the watch world, which has kinda got a bit serious lately...few years, tbh 😊 I will add, though, the tik tok and YT short you agreed with regarding the journey is one to follow...he's a genuine collector, has some great advice and indeed watches and many of his shorts are whimsical and just make fun of the hobby in a good way...sometimes it's good to laugh and indeed laugh at ourselves...sometimes haha 😊
Frankly. AMIRE You, dear Teddy - for being so polite and not shouting loudly "bullcrap" on (at leas some of) tik-tok statements quoted here (:
Your reacts are on a different level.
Well done video. There are so many watch channels out there now and folks who may not be that educated about watches or brands can easily be mislead. You always maintain a professional demeanor and know what you're talking about. Thanks for that and keep it up. Happy New year.
Great video Teddy! Had a good laugh out of it. In any case, thank you for the content this year, it was very comprehensive and most important.. entertaining. Happy new year!
Rolex is the first luxury brand new money usually buys.
Because it's the best.
It has a great brand and engineering history.
@@storyonthewrist Nope, just a great marketing history.
@@TheTejanoJose They did things like make the first self winding watches with complications- eg date window. That’s been rather impactful :)
@@TheTejanoJose What is "Oyster" case.
Nico must feel satisfied over his influence over the industry and the TH-cam Watch game 😂
Godtier comment
Gotta check on Nico’s 2023 year end comment now. Thanks for the reminder!
I can’t stand the guy personally
Teddy is so GD wholesome the way he responded to these videos. I usually hate reaction videos but this was great. Happy new year and keep up the great work
I really love your content Teddy. The appreciation of history and the qualiy of the brand you're mentioning is always appreciated. Happy New Year!
Great finale to the year Teddy. Keep up the awesome work. It's awesome to see someone doing what they love.
I think us seiko lovers typically call ourselves seiko-paths or seiko-tic so she's not wrong haha
Just got done watching this while on my cycling trainer and I was rolling! You do such a great job in fielding these commentaries. LOL
I have actually gotten my friends to start wearing watches because I wear one everyday. I had a bunch of watches I never wore anymore and gave them away to my buddies, they have all said they enjoy wearing them. Making more watch fans out here just for you Teddy. Your video on the bronze watches lead me to my Christopher Ward watch much appreciated.
I wish this was a weekly series. I was laughing so hard at Teddy's comments.
Another hot take with Rolex: Most people I see out in the wild with them don't actually care about horology. It's generally a flex of "wealth" and only bought as a status symbol.
There's some validity to the stereotypes.
People with Rolexes either love watches or love the status symbol that a Rolex is/can be. There’s not a whole lot of middle ground in the Rolex community lol
love these kind of vids in moderation, keep up the great work Teddy!
Thanks, Teddy for your intuitive and well thought content. Happy New Year
Make this a series please 🙏🏼 it’s been a great year teddy, props to you and your team
Another great year Teddy ! Keep up the good work . Looking forward to your content in 2024 . Happy New Year
love this style teddy. You can bring the classy side of watch collecting to youtube content that works.
i love how Teddy is aware of his vibes and owns them. Gives a wink to his correctness and makes him even cooler, you're gonna be an awesome dad:)
Get this guy to 1MM subscribers -- he deserves it!
Old money means inheritance or trust fund money that isn't earnt yourself😅
As always Teddy a great video, watch collecting is always a personal thing and depending on your income the range can be huge. It’s great to know watches are back in fashion and it’s people like you and your channel that made it so. Happy new year Teddy
Thanks Teddy! Good, lighthearted fun!
Happy New Year to you and your bride!
And…in this crazy area, thank you so much for being one of the very few who are humble and centered! And, in a (good) way makes you the “dad” in the room before your time!
That was such fun to watch👍🏻👍🏻. Happy new Year!!
This is a hilarious take. Would like to see more of this, it’s good to see your personality come out in these videos.
Btw, that Grand Seiko looks amazing 🔥 (the shadows and the reflection of light on the dial).
Besides several watches that I have gathered along the years, I have essentially a one watch collection, bought from Teddy! I appreciate your idea that it is good to pause and enjoy what you have instead of buying one after another. Sort of goes against having a watch store (!) but just a beautiful detail.
Happy New Year Teddy, thank you so much for all you've shared with us in 2023. Wish you a tremendous new year full of love, peace and amazing timepieces ofcourse.
For me and I'm pretty sure for many of your followers you resemble The Great Roger Ebert but in watch industry; instead of criticism you've rathered to make reviews that have added a lot not only to our knowledge but also brought passion and motion to an extremely conservative, concrete and stagnant industry.
Thank you so much.
I suspect AI played a big part in the 'top 10' lists. No criteria and no idea about pronunciation. Just spewing content.
Awesome as always! ❤️
Happy New Year Teddy! I have enjoyed your videos since you came on the watch TH-cam scene several years ago. Look forward to watching in 2024.
Teddy, love content like this. Keeps the channel fresh and it's fun! More of this!
Some people need to ‘watch’ what they say 😆
Also teddy your awesome 👏
early gang unite!
A real watch chanel. No boxing, no restaurants, no cars, no cops, just watches, love it teddy, please keep it up 😊
Thank you Teddy and team for all the great content on watches throughout the past few years!
Love this playful side of your content Teddy. A curator of good taste and a genuinely good dude.
I saw someone else comment this but big Nico Leonard vibes coming through with this one. Definitely a good thing since I think Teddy's non-scripted personality is phenomenal. The editing was great too. Keep doing what makes you you, Teddy, but would love to see more of this style of content and editing.
Happy New Year Teddy! Thank you for your work.
Happy New Year, Teddy. Congratulations on your achievements with this channel. Love all your content
You're too nice for this Teddy, I've never seen such a polite roasting 😂 Fantastic channel, keep doing what you do and wishing you a prosperous new year
I really enjoyed your video, Teddy. My Rolex Explorer has been the "Love" of my watch life for 18 years now. When I saw it on the screen during the video, my heart skipped a beat with that aesthetic arrest that one can't readily described. Sometimes a watch simply has a mystique that transcends rational reasons for owning one. It doesn't hurt that the Explorer was Ian Flemings choice and is associated with the first conquest of Everest. I'm looking forward to future content from you in the new year. Cheers!
I bought the Seiko Speedtimer Panda and it hasn’t left my wrist since I got it. Such a cool watch and the solar quartz is such a cool concept. Also got the Orange Seiko 5 GMT, the Tissot Gentleman Powermatic 80 with the green crosshair dial, and a Longines Hydroconquest Ceramic in anthracite. Those are my big four and I honestly don’t feel the need to get anything “bigger or better.” Tudor has gotten my eye, so in the future I’m thinking of a Style or vintage Prince Date. But I’m happy with my lil collection that I have! Maybe once I hit the lottery I’ll be able to get a Starbucks or Batman GMT on that Jubilee.
Please do more of these! There are so many out there!
Thank you for all the great work you do and have a Happy New Year!
Love this one! More of this Teddy!. Thanks as always for your amazing content. Happy New Year!
Loved ❤all the videos this year teddy thanks for entertaining and teaching me
I laughed when I heard the pronunciation of those automated voices. Blank pain🤣🤣
I’m frustrated by people who hate on a watch they’ve never handled or owned and try to push that negativity onto others as if they know best. Happy new year Teddy 🎉
Great fun for a last video of the year! Love me some nice boots as well, Red Wing Classic Mocs for work daily, and Iron Rangers pretty much all other times, unless I’m wearing some Lucchese cowboy boots!
This was great, lol. Some of your takes and image cuts had me rolling!
I dont know why, but at around the 6:55 mark when Teddy narrates his typing he gives off Peter Parker vibes lmao.
Again, dont know why, but it makes me laugh
Love this style of content much more than the reviews. Hands down one of your best videos yet. Please keep doing these Teddy 🙏
Teddy - really a nice video to end the year,, and in my humble opinion, you ROCK the dad sweater!!
Honestly, this is one of my favorite videos of yours. And the girl with the $12 thrift shop watch was the best she’s adorable.
Very entertaining and enjoyable video, as I am over 60. I am certainly a Dad (also because I have a daughter), but it is interesting to realize that watches fell of the radar of the younger generation since the introduction of the apple watch, and especially since the cell phone which all have integrated time. But I can see that the watch is making a important come back, as if they (the younger generation) just discovered its appeal! Let not tell them, and give them the credit of this new found trend!
Teddy is a serious man who doesn't take himself too seriously. One of the few big subs TH-camrs who hasn't disappeared up his own a**e as his numbers have grown. 1M will be well deserved when it comes.
Great video Teddy, very unique ! More of that please 🤩🎉 happy new year and thanks for all the great content !
I love end of year Teddy! Your videos are always enjoyable however this one had a little extra personality to it that made it more fun.
Chapeau sir and happy new year.
(Ps. I felt your pain during the second clip and I am a dad! It gets easy though, trust me…)
Great to see Teddy get little agitate and but still keep compose... it just keep me smile 😆
the wrtist shot over the food, that was hilarious! Happy New Year!
Thanks for a fabulous year Teddy! I laugh at a lot at these types of videos. Thanks for sharing and hears to a fantastic 2024.
Teddy is Gold Standard for manners and class , as well as knowledge and insight.
Thanks for the videos this year, teddy! Your video confirms that I've made the right choice to avoid tik tok altogether.
Great Presentation. Interesting how watch reviews done by others don’t really provide a detailed review and analysis as well as Teddy does.
Teddy, I hope that you and your crew have a happy and safe New Year's break
ROFL!! MOre of these videos, Teddy!! This goes to show that 99% of tik-tok'ers are 100% clueless!
Loved this! Hilarious. Thanks Teddy for sharing. Like a 10min thesis in wayward self-proclaimed influencing on a subject they know very little about.
