    Is there any separate solar panel (such as the Rexing universal solar panel ) available that can connect to the Non solar spypoint cellular camera to function to charge the camera?? eg, browning makes a solar panel that can connect by wire to any browning cellular camera and the panel can be pointed south to the sun while the camera on same tree is pointed east along the deer trail and mock scrape etc.. appreciate your input. Thanks. Drew

    I have 2 of these and I have nothing bad to say I set it up per the directions and it sends pictures to my phone like it should. I do have it set to send every picture and believe it are not the batteries which aren’t lithium are still over 40% after 3 weeks. The picture quality isn’t 4K but it’s plenty good enough for a deer camera. I believe all these folks complaining about picture quality are expecting to much out of a camera that has to send pictures across a cellular service miles away. These little cameras are definitely worth a go I suggest getting one and bring it out to your hunting property to see if it will work then get a few more. Like a hunting buddy said the best way to gage these cameras is if you can’t use your phone the camera want work ether.

    Bought 2 Spypoint FLEX-S. Would never purchase another Spypoint based on the results I got with both of them. The purpose of buying a cellular camera with a solar panel in addition to the back-up batteries is to avoid having to travel to the location and disturbing the area. I spent hours on hold and hours on the phone with the service rep. only to have them tell me I would need to have the camera in hand in order for them to help me. In the month that I had them active they never worked more than 4 days without going down and needing reset. I had to go to them location pull the camera and (install a new SD card or Replace batteries that were less than a week old or turn it off and on again) Each "solution" lasted less than a week and I was back at it again. If you do purchase Spypoint or any brand for that matter, purchase one month plan to start. If you have better luck than me, and I hope you do, then you can purchase the yearly plan.

      Why do you say it’s the best? Is it better than the $650 RECONYX? Just curious because I’m wanting a really good cell camera for security. I hate to pay $600-$650 for one when I can get just as good of one for less.

    • @NoEyeDeerOutdoors
      @NoEyeDeerOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for dropping in Jeff. Your question is very valid. We do talk about this in the video and in the reply above to RX1Hunter’s comment. For this review, we were specifically targeting the best cell cam for the cheapest price. We know there are much more superior trail cams than what spypoint as to offer in their $60-$140 range, but our goal was to review a camera in that price range. We would never spend that much on cell cam equipment bc we are 100% public land….vandalism and bears don’t care if the camera is $75 or $650. We’d suggest trying something like a spypoint if your main purpose is security. But take that as a grain of salt….we really have no eye deer what we’re doing. Good luck and keep us posted what direction you go!

    Shutter speed is half a second? No, no. no. Please be careful and use the correct terminology, here it matters. Shutter speed is the length of time the shutter STAYS OPEN exposing the sensor. During half a second you would get a blurry image 95 percent of the time. TRIGGER SPEED is the time between the camera being inactive to being active. Trigger speed of half a second would be the correct statement.
