I know how to fish, it's called going to your local Supper Club on a Friday or Saturday night and ordering a plate of Pan Fried Walleye or Blue Gills or Perch for dinner. They even clean it and cook it for you to eat. That is my kind of catching fish! Keep reminding the kids that the worst day (weekend) of fishing is still better than the best day(s) of school. So when are you going to talk your wife into purchasing one of these Ice Castles so you can set it up on a lake close to home or within a reasonable driving distance from home to use during the winter time? You can also use it during the Summer as a regular camper. Maybe even rent it out on weekends that you're not using it. Just a suggestion. Tell the manufacturer of the Ice Castle or even the dealer that you will promote the Ice Castle and/or Dealership on your TH-cam Channel that 10s of 10s of people will see so that you can work up some kind of discount for the Ice Castle that you will buy. Who knows, maybe you can find one in New York that you'll drive out to purchase. 🤷‍♂

how are you able to use ClearVu with the ice fishing transducer? is the unit still set to the gt54? (or what ever the stock transducer is)

I purchased a Savage in a 400 legend last year, unfortunately I didn’t get to tag a deer with it, hopefully this year will be better, I also have a Savage in a 270 win and planning on getting a 350 legend in the next 3 or 4 years, my 400 came without a muzzle brake giving it some recoil but personally I think it’s about the same as the 270 win

Having the muzzle brake on your Ruger American is a real plus for the girls, reducing the recoil a lot making it easier for them to handle, good hunting everyone

My 2 nephews have 8 deer to there credit 10 and 7 taken with the 350L One of there friends got his first with one in a ruger American. Hit hit a little far back but the deer didn't go 100yd from the shot. From what i have seen they work well. I like 170gr interlock

You meant to say Stevens Model 58 BOLT ACTION 16ga. I have a JC Higgins Model 583 16ga that was my dads when he was a kid. I never carry it but it prints slugs 1" high dead center at 100yds and 3 shots with be a cloverleaf. If i carry a 16 it's my Wingmaster 16ga that i got for my 14th bday.

I have wolves up by me and elk i have a base camp up in hayward i have a half acre on a 10 acre lake my place is a 12x16 hillside garage with a above one room apartment/ cabin

With 180 gr i wouldn't hesitate to take it moose hunting not even a sec though seems the 180s marketed for deer would be better suited for larger game like moose brown bear etc with near 40" of penetration in ballistics gel

Im 6'4" and the Ruger ranch works just fine for my size out to 250 yards

Out of those 3 I can only hunt with the 350 in my state! The deer don’t make it far with a good shot but the blood trail definitely lacks compared to slugs and the 450 bushmaster I use. The 350 is a lot more fun to shoot so i usually use that as I have more range time with it

The same nonknock power as the 3030. I advise using a 180 gr. bullet for a possible exit hole for blood trailing!

I hunt with all three calibers two or basically good in the woods I one good for long range

350 legend and 30-30 are about identical and the 243 is a different animal completely.
