Have you tried summon/smart summon after getting a tesla with a Ryzen plus the new connectivity card? I'm hoping that the new connectivity card will offer a more reliable data connection for summon services to stay connected to your mobile. I've only had a chance to test the speeds and it's much better than the OG connectivity card.

A few suggestions for future topics: Removing unwanted or inadvertent suspension raising locations. Relocating the left rear camera screen position to the upper left corner when the left turn indicator is activated to better assist in freeway merging. Changing locations of Home, Office, Favorites. Adding third party apps such as DoorKing for community gate access as many gate receivers do not activate from the car remote until quite close to the entry gate. Adding WAZE would be nice in CA. Requesting Tesla address the very slow autopilot acceleration in stop and go freeway traffic.

I ordered model Y in January of 22. The date at first was March, than June, than august, than September, now it’s October! Insane. Feels like millions of people ordered one. What is particularly bad is that if I wanted to finance it… it gets worse, because the interest rate keeps going up and you can’t lock it.

So, in my understanding, even if we pre-order our Tesla right now Aug 2022, we won't get it until 2023, so that means it should qualify us for the tax credit of $7500 for Model Y bcus we won't start paying for the car until we receive it once it's been delivered to us... is that right Ryan?

By far this is the best Tesla channel!!!
I would love to share my recent history renting a model Y with Hertz and l was very let down with the supercharger network going from LA to Sequíoa National Park. Two of the 3 supercharger stations were not working leading us to drive 65 miles round trip to get enough charge to go up into the national park. I get we were in the mountains but c'mon Tesla; l Can see this in the Midwest but in CA? We even came back to Malibu and one station closest to us had 4 of the 6 chargers showing errors on my rental and others. Why the crappy charging stations Tesla?
I am looking forward to owning. Tesla in the future but when you decide to charge your phone and use the AC please provide a more reasonable mileage/charge. Please change the seat controls so they can easily be adjusted when driving. I had to open the door with each seat adjustment which was so annoying. One last thing, Tesla gps is horrible when it comes to others like Waze. More than a handful of times Tesla took me onto the 101 in bumper to bumper traffic crawling slowly where l could have easily taken an alternative route. Anyone else share similar feelings?

It is also important to note that if the bill passes as it is, it is likely that the RWD Model 3 probably won't qualify due to the materials/construction of the battery. There is a lot of differing opinions on this so I could be wrong, but better to error on the side of caution and do plenty of research if you are basing your choice on it.

Indeed, the only Teslas that will currently qualify for the tax credit are the two Model Ys IF they're recognized as SUVs. The assertions in the video about a sub $40,000 Tesla "if nothing changes" is incorrect. I'm puzzled by all the TH-camrs that gloss over the fact that the China-sourced LFP batteries in the RWD would exclude the only Model 3 that is currently cheap enough to qualify.

    • @whatdoesnt
      @whatdoesnt ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@chadowe Yes i bet Tesla will drop M3-LR& M3P pricing so that MYs are not cheaper than M3s. 🤣 Btw the model Y is officially classified as an SUV and under the bills current language will qualify as long as the price is below $80k.

NEED YOUR ADVICE/HELP RYAN. Up front, I really enjoy your Tesla videos...keep them coming! I dropped my order and place in line this past march for a MYLR with 19" gemini wheels with the Red paint upgrade. Prior to recent word that Manchin was onboard with the bill including the EV tax credit, my delivery window was year's end into next year (Dec- Jan). Since the announcement regarding likelihood of this legislation passing my delivery has changed twice, both moving it closer and further from the end of the year (as of today it is Oct 31 - Dec 12). With this possible tax credit not going into effect until Jan 1, 1) what are the chances that Elon will give a $7.5k discount from time of passing through the end of the year to keep people from pulling the plug ;) on their order if their delivery is prior to Jan 1? and more importantly 2) If he doesn't offer a discount what are my options for putting off delivery until Jan 1 without losing my order??? I (I'm guessing along with many other in the same situation) look forward to your response. Thanks --John

Gm's Super Cruise cost is $2500 and service is included for for 3 years although many other options can be required which will increase the overall price. thEn a connected service is required and range from an extra $15 with select OnStar subscriptions to $25 per month stand alone. Ultra Cruise is coming in 2023 and will work in 95% of all driving scenarios where super cruise is only on major highways I think a modest initial price with a subscription model is better. I thought tesla was offering that at one point all very confusing.

I was curious what folks were going to do, particularly with the Model Ys and M3 SR+. If, say, the bill passed tomorrow, how many people with reservations in Q4 would want to push their delivery back to take advantage? Is Tesla going to have problems getting those cars delivered? Would they maybe shift all of their production to cars that don't qualify (ie, only produce M3 LRs and MY Ps) and clear those orders out? Should be interesting to see what happens. We're looking at getting an MY SR+ as well and are holding off until the start window changes from Nov22 to Jan23 before putting in the reservation.

Mini-topic suggestion...tax incentive related. I am about to order a model Y. I have been holding off for several years as I wanted the dual castings, the 4680 battery pack, and Giga Texas built. I'm hoping to get all that and ordering red/white, standard wheels and FSD (before the price hike). Before adding FSD, the vehicle is nicely under the 80K, but when adding FSD it goes up to just over the 80K , and this is before the pending $3000 increase. The vehicle could be bought w/o FSD and added later, but who knows how much higher FSD will be at that point. Further, if a person chooses to finance the car, then buying FSD afterward would prohibits it's inclusion of that cost in the financing. Conversely, buying FSD at time of car purchase will likely cost the buyer an extra $7000 on top of the cost of FSD due to the loss of the tax credit (if it indeed the Y qualifies). Unfortunately, that's a pretty good incentive not to buy FSD, which I'm sure is not what Tesla wants. I know it's early days for the tax credit, but my hope tesla comes up with a way to at least allow buys to purchase FSD directly following car purchase and honor the price of FSD at time of car ordering.
Multiple Tesla sales people said that technically the model Y is a crossover and is considered a sedan and not SUV, so as of right now Tesla does not believe the Y qualifies for the Tax credit. This is opposite of what almost every youtubers are reporting. Who is right?
Question for anyone in the know....are delivery charges considered part of the car cost and included in the $80K tax limit?

If prices for the long range model 3 drop below the potential tax credit threshold then that would open up the option to order a new model 3, get the tax credit and sell the model 3 that I’ll soon have. Seems like these tax credits are going to be more problem for Tesla than benefit:
    - First, people who have ordered Model 3s and Model Ys will be incentivized to cancel their orders and take them up next year. This will put downward pressure on Tesla's earnings in 2022
    - Also, the lower prices will translate into higher demand in the coming years, but Tesla can't meet demand anyway. Increased demand doesn't help them.
    - It also messes with their pricing structure. Particularly for the Model 3. Applying the tax credit to a Model Y brings the price too close to the Model 3, driving down the demand for M3?
    - Tesla will have to drop prices of the Model 3 Long Range in order for it to qualify. But then the price will be the same for the Standard Range. That price won't fall because of the battery composition.
    - The primary beneficiaries will be Tesla's competitors.
I can't see any way that this tax credit is good for Tesla. At least in the short term.
