What a stupid team challenge, they didn’t even get to pick their own dishes, they were TOLD what they had to cook and then the guests voted on them. It’s not necessarily on the cooking skills but what food they prefer to eat. I mean one team had a chocolate dessert and the other had strawberry - of course chocolate is going to win!
Masterchef Ireland is too serious. Had watched Masterchef USA, Canada and Australia and they are all so entertaining and relaxed. Of course, the judging will be serious. The Ireland series should be more relaxed. Looks more like a military show.
August 8 2023 Maryland USA: I have been watching various Master Chef from South Africa, Britain and now Ireland. To think these are not professional cooks and just into the beginning of challenges they are doing aextraordinary ! I have my favorites and hoping they move forward.
Honestly, are there two hosts of a TV show with less charisma and personality as these two guys? Both of them miserable to the nth degree and totally unsuitable to host a show like this. Both of them look very uncomfortable in the role. If you ever do another series Masterchef Ireland for God's sake choose someone else to host.
Now I understand the book and movie "Who is killing the great chefs of Europe"? Stars George Segal and Jacqueline Bisset, Dir ... Ted KotCheff . my opinion without prejudice 🦂
I think the picking thing is kinda cruel. It is going to bring back memories of school sports for everybody. It can make most crestfallen...... yet also lend drive. Another episode worth watching.... thank you, @Cooking. 🌹
Because it's Masterchef, and basic guidelines must be followed, such as mystery boxes and team challenges with red and blue aprons.... the viewers expect it...
On the tricolour, the green represents the catholics, the orange represents the protestants and the white represents the peace between the two..........if ur unhappy with red and blue, green and orange ain't much better! Green and gold if u really wanna be picky.......
American MC; nasty tempered & gimmicky. UK MC; fun & informative. UK MC Professionals; Very informative. Irish MC; Stoic judges, not informative and throwing non cooks in with the wolves.
3 grand for a Vitamix blender? They saw you coming, didn't they. Bloody frog legs and foie gras - it's not French food unless some cruelty is involved eh? Pretentious little man. Having said that, I would quite happily live on canapes ;)
Depends on the fish, depends on the cheese. I eat tuna melts all the time and I love lox and cream cheese. There are pasta seafood dishes finished with grated Parmesan.. then baked fish with a feta topping, or cod with a cheesy (gratin) sauce. I like cheese and rarely miss a chance to add that protein.
Omg escargot and frog legs, salmon, pate fois de gras, sea urchin and oysters. I would rather eat dirt. Some people don’t like seafood and I’m one of them. They don’t take that into consideration.
Obviously nobody in that gathering put in a special request, (which they would not hesitate to do) and unlike some Masterchefs, they apparently didn't feel the PC need to include an alternative to the seafood...
These nice people wouldn't survive 3 minutes in the American version... mystery box: "I only have an hour, I like to have things planned out in my head." That is the point deary:)
I love the Masterchef series, but these Nick & Dylan are so stodgy and have no humor what so ever. Makes watching the judging very dry.
I agree with you, you've got to have personality
They seem soulless.
100 agree dry! & so so boring 😴
I first thought they are in love with each other, but, whatever, they come across as the Evil Brothers 😂
I never comment on anything. I have watched a lot of Masterhcefs but this two judges are so boring, no charisma at all.
uf my thoughts exactly.. oter countries are nt like dis

In real life. If they go work in a kitchen that’s how it’s going to be. If they work under a head chef. So they need to learn how to do that.
The canapés depended on the public’s personal tastes… therefore I judge the competition as void!
This guy Richard is full off imself !
How do they cut the egg shell tops so clean and even? Does anyone know.
There is a tool you can probably find in a kitchen supply store
Use an egg topper
Did anyone else get ads EVERY 2 minutes EVERY single episode? It's really letting down the series and a bad rap for TH-cam

Did anybody see that ham?Mmmmmmm
Tonight's Pressure Test is freshly-laid doggies' eggs with a light dusting of cheesy helmet flakes accompanied by lashings of nut butter...
I want to meet RIchards cat.
The audio is overlapping
Richard is my favorite💕 I hope he does very well
They have been put too early to this kind of cooking!
It's fun to watch and learn along
Good lord some of those woman's voices will make people run like hell

These two judges look a bit like hitment. But they come acrss as being quite wooden.
Why give them a charred brioche to use?
The most dramatic thing about this episode was all the people tossing their chips in the glass jar
Why always red & blue why not green & orange I mean they're are in Ireland.

Who chose these judges, gives the country a bad name
I just canceled my flight to Ireland after watching these to judges . 😟😟 lol..lol
wounderful and colourful i admire it ,idream to be one
Maybe it’s because I’m not used to European shows but the way the guy got eliminated was so dry lol
Paradise
I cant listen to that squeaky noise of christine.

Nice to see Ireland have a cheaper version of Chris Eubank and wife lol
Can't watch this one. Sorry folks. I don't do teams or pairings easily, & the fussy foods are not appealing. Onward to the next challenge.
Rabbit isn’t white meat is it?
Rabbit meat is considered white meat.

So accurate, so funny!
Yup! Canapés and Hors d’Oeuvres are frequently the best part of event food.
Cheese with fish?

TO MANY ADDS
I don't see any?
EVERY 2 minutes EVERY single episode...… Driving me nuts
No ads for me!
Richard is a bit arrogant. So far he has hacked his finger, cried and doesn't like making starters! Perhaps we need to ask his cat to take over!!!

Eat ur chocolate lollipops and hush......lol
What no vegan alternative either?
Then don't eat them. The world doesn't revolve around you and your stunted palate.
PQSusan SD fucking thank you!!!

🙂
This series of master chef is sooo boring 😴
now cook for your life don't burn it up
For Bangladeshi... Or Indian, Pakistani ,, we use all of those dishes just for starter 🤣
They were hosting a coctail party not a blinking dinner
