    For those of us who suffer from nerves, good for Mary. She was a joy to watch. I understand her insecurities and self doubt. She is my inspiration. Well done!

    There was some stupendous cooking in the finale. I’d have loved to have seen them cook dishes like that for a panel of critics in an earlier round before it got down to three. Congratulations all finalists! I’d have been happy to have ordered all of your menus

    I really enjoyed this. I liked the judges. Their disappointment when the food wasn't up to standard and their joy when the food was great.

    Congratulations Mary.
    I am impressed by Bridin and her family. Her family seems to have been strong behind her and she was not spoilt as a person growing up. I am also pleased to see her in her work with disabled people. I almost feel it is a shame for her to move out of that field. But I wish her the best.
    I hope that Mike fulfils his dream of opening a restaurant. It will be a step up from an ordinary mundane job into a perhaps more challenging but fulfilling profession. Your wife and children are beautiful enjoy them.
    I would also like to say that I have watched a lot of Master Chef competitions and I am impressed with how well the Irish competitors have behaved in comparison to the other countries. Their self control is really wonderful. Far less tantrums and drama. Well done guys and dolls you are wonderful ambassadors for your country.

    the ads drove me mad, thank goodness for the mute button. Plating up in the final with cold plates off the rack? How is the food kept warm from the first contestant to the last? It would be great to have another episode with where their career took them after the competition.

    I'm a little disappointed that the contestants don't get to cook in the Master Chef kitchen and be judged by the quality and presentation of what they cook. All they are doing it helping in kitchens of famous restaurants. This does not in anyway show their ability to actually cook meals.

    Being a bit disappointed in how the series started (so slow and boring!), I must say it got better as it moved along, but I am again a bit disappointed in the final. No surprises here. But that being said, congrats to all three of them. They all grew so much in their art, and I believe each one of them could actually be classified as a master chef. Now, off to watch season 2!

    I'm confused this is an excellent finale but Mike was shown visiting different businesses and what he does as well as the other girls but I would assume they'd have to stop their jobs to do the competition would like some clarification on that and Mike also said something about cannot being at home for 6 weeks so where did they all stay. That should be part of the story because I thought they were going home everyday so I assume they had to leave their jobs that would make sense would like to get clarification on those points

    • @ZaydDepaor
      @ZaydDepaor 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I prefer it to the British original, the hosts are good, not so mollycoddling and soft...but I expect they will be pressured to be more soft in later subsequent series, they were already mellowing towards the end of this one.

      I disagree. While this is the first Irish MC, there is plenty to learn from other competitions considering the hosts and able contestants.

    I enjoyed the recipes and the restaurant cooking tests but the show could use a little more oomph. It really came across as boring at times with some high points. Just make it a little more engaging and exciting. A good watch nonetheless.

    Mary never once kept a clean station, never once kept her hair out of the way, and the judges were bias from the start with her

    At the end of series 1, I am enjoying hearing the judges give really in-depth comments. Most of the menus in the series have been heavily meat based, which is a bit old fashioned. And way, way too many adverts. Notice that viewing figures go down consistently through the 12 episodes.

    • @joannaedwards6325
      @joannaedwards6325 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you're right. One has to be a determined viewer to wade through the commercials.

    • @donnawoodford6641
      @donnawoodford6641 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't bother watching the shows with ads, so I go from episode #1 to the finale #12, skipping all the family drama background. I try to go to the video's end and back to start, hoping to cut down on the interrupting ads. I probably saved 10 hours by choosing not to view episodes #2 through #11.

    with the price it's being offered and the potential for possibly a cookbook or a job in the industry I really think that Mike's complaints about being away from his family etc it's just silly. They knew the risk when they took this competition which is a once in a lifetime event. I believe every person that took it obviously has some longing for loved ones but let's buck up guys it was only 6 weeks not I believe the 18 weeks like you MasterChef us let's look at the good things and stop the complaining

    By the judges comments and behavior, was there any question that it would be Mary from the beginning?

  • @janedoe3095
    @janedoe3095 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The only question is, why do the faces of the judges look like they have been constipated for 10 days and today’s effort is unsuccessful if the food is so good?i
    Im not a master chef but if I cooked a meal and saw that type of expression on the face of someone I cooked for I would be apologizing profusely and suggesting we go to the best restaurant around my treat.

      Winning the title is not solely based on the last three dishes they make. They take into consideration your entire performances especially the ones where they cook in the professional kitchens. We all know Mary nailed it in those professional kitchens.
