Every episode reminds us that Claire-Ann sprayed a scent on one of her dishes.

It is the most demanding and insanly difficult masterchef/cooking competition I have ever seen.

Mary kept a nasty station but yet they kept on saving her, they should've got rid of her for that alone!

They may be amateurs but every one of them is aspiring to be a professional - that's why they're on the show, so it's a huge learning curve. They have to learn to overcome the pressure so good job chef.

The biggest problem most of these contestants face is their complete inability to follow instructions. They're either not paying enough attention when being given directions, or they're arguing when being corrected, and there's a baffling mix of arrogance and stupidity in their mentalities. It's a fascinating metaphor for modern people in general. Too many overconfident, underachieving, coddled, entitled, participation trophy babies. And so many people commenting on the episodes who are crying about how unfair and mean and difficult it all is. Good grief. No wonder western civilization is going to hell in a hand basket.

The judges should have told Pierce exactly what the head chef said about him.

I loved the comment about being clean shaven! The ski school I worked for in France insisted on the same! Brilliant!
Every establishment has its own rules for the staff including stupid uniforms etc so the head chef is entitled to has their own rules.

This MasterChef competition seems to be far more demanding of the contestants than the original MasterChef from the U.S. The expectations of these home cooks seems to be rather high in comparison. I really feel for these home cooks.

I've watched MasterChef done in the US and AU. Ireland is the most difficult one of all. the contestants aren't given much time in their kitchen cooking. They already cooked for 300 people, for guest in a fine dining museum and pastries in a high end tea room. In this segment, they were given recipes for the pastry they were to make, had a look at them but were NOT given a demonstration of how to make and plate them. I'm not liking this.

Is it just me, that noticed that none of the women had their hair up and in a hair net? Or none of the contestants were wearing gloves and never washed their hands!

You can really tell the measure of a man in how he treats others.
No matter how big you are, nomatter how far youve come or whatever accolades people bestow upon you, you still are a prick if you talk to people like shit. Chefs don't get an excuse because they're particularly precious about their work.
It's a television show. The angry pompous chef telling people to shave their faces (after no warning previously at all) then barking orders and insults needs to put himself in a corner. Big lad on TV.

He goes on about how "unprofessional" they are for showing up unshaven but the judge Dylan would not have even been allowed in the pretentious chef's kitchen. The judges could have warned the contestants about the shaving. How were they to have known? I noticed that this was the first cook where the judges didn't even attend in that kitchen.

I don't like how this masterclass is taught because the perfect way to do this is every master class on MasterChef Australia or MasterChef us. They begin the class with the judges doing the explanation and teaching or in this case the chef at that location telling them how to show introduce the item. if they did that in this episode they should show it because we're at a loss to learn anything from this without being shown the steps and succession by the main teacher. So I'm just wondering in the editing of these shows if they did film that part why they cut it out because that's a big negative for people who want to watch this and obviously increase the TH-cam channels that show this and if you can't figure out what they did step by step and have to piece it together it's really not user friendly.

March 24th 20 21 comment in addition to what I have already stated in what we watching the demonstration by the teacher I still have to complain that if you really want to benefit the users of TH-cam channel he didn't State the ingredients that are listed on the rest of he could have simply read them the narrator is telling you what's in there but there's a big difference and as I stated in MasterChef Australia which I think is superior to MasterChef USA the directions have to be step by step and then we just see him mixing something and making statements about what should be done this is not a good way to teach anybody and again when you are trying to attract an audience as in Ireland they should be you're going to do the step-by-step so the people watching can learn from this presentation. If you watch any of the MasterChef Australia seasons you will see how beautifully they do the master classes which are usually the length of one entire episode. You might like to watch that MasterChef is okay but I think MasterChef Australia has a more excellent way of teaching so you may want to start from the first season as I have with both of these countries and watch everything all the way through. You will be delighted.

how pitiful it is that they don't have more mixers with the pricey tag at this restaurant to customers and the fact that this is on MasterChef Ireland giving them so much publicity and this is just before covid. I cannot understand how their main trainer he may be the owner is telling them to just calm down and it's customary to share equipment. I'm sorry it's for cheap people who own restaurants that are so expensive not to have enough equipment I am disgusted with his comments.

The menus are hard. & I see a lot of comments about judges being hash. But think about it. A lot of chefs don't last long & restaurant owners aren't gonna be very friendly. Just look how this restaurant owner speaks.

Seems in this episode the candidates are not really good in cooking AT All. Lot to learn. In the english masterchef there more candidates who really CAN cook. I'm not a professional cook but the beginners mistakes they make in this whole competition is awful!

  • @kittkeithley1744
    @kittkeithley1744 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I understand that in this type of a competition they have to be very strict and it may seem but the guy that's the main shift in this episode on the second part is just terrible and what is wrong with common sense of the judge that was talking to him when he said well what do you think the matter is the matter is they're stress because there's not enough kitchen equipment and any person with one scintilla of sense can see that how stupid these people are who are so rich and make food like a god that they intimidate these beautiful students in the way they do. You can be Stern but you can be not so negative and attacking as they are. They made Mary feel bad but don't attack and the one comment by the restaurant owner that about putting something where the sun doesn't shine is totally stupid and uncalled for. These judges better make a better choice of locations for these students because I am appalled by how they are treated. It is not fair to criticize them so aggressively when you are too cheap to buy enough equipment for everybody to use even if it was for the special episode where they're in training. These restaurant owners are jerks

Brothel for the chef restaurant leader telling the men to shave. I cannot understand why in MasterChef and MasterChef professional when they have men with beards that are beyond their chin don't have to have them wear a plastic over their face to prevent the hairs from going in the food. This is even in the training they don't do it. The other thing is that even if you are close shaving I'm sorry but it just doesn't work because you're weird can fall into the food so I would assume you have to wear some plastic over your ears something like the mess we are wearing now. Bravo to this kitchen for doing so. It's just basic hygiene and of course we have to deal with the plastic gloves which are most of the time I don't see on their hands and this is basic food safety that you even learn in working at McDonald's. Something needs to change March 24th 2021 comment

MOST people BUY dessert, BECAUSE it is to complicated by far, you need to be a uni professor to get it right, and it is a bit ponsey and a little queer to have these small things, give me a doughnut or plain sponge any day, or even a custard fart :-)

The women all had their hair up when cooking, and I’m guessing that preparation to cook (putting hair up, handwashing etc) was edited out. There’s a lot we don’t see. Edit: they all had caps on when in the professional kitchen.
