They seem surprised at mikes speed in the kitchen. This is the way he has been from the beginning so I still don’t know why he was put in the final

Where are the vegetables on that plate demonstrated by the chef at l’Écrivain, where he had the pithiviers? No dinner should be without vegetables !,

40 people in 2 hrs and hes stressed..........thats cute !
I dont know why Mike is still there over Christine. Completely mind boggled. Mike doing what Mike has done from the beginning........not sure what exactly that is.

As I watch this program I may have been wrong in thinking that this food service part was the final but I still maintain that even if they have to come up with the three course dish of their own which I believe is going to be the final result I don't believe that them working in recreating a dessert in a fancy restaurant Michelin star is what's necessary for the finale. This has never been done in any of the MasterChef us which is the original series. I think the MasterChef us has the best design for the competition although it is very very long and they do provide housing for the candidates. In this series there was no housing provided which obviously made the series less expensive. The two judges are paid around I believe 150,000 each to do the series. I read that somewhere and that would have been the US figure several years ago. the gentleman on his way to the restaurant where he'll be working mentioned a three-course dinner. This is my firm belief that they have him as the wrong person for the finale because Christine had done much much more to improve and he got in just because her last dish was not good I believe that this was a major error

I agree. I was excited for the Irish version because the vibe was much more chill, way less drama. The focus could be on the creation of food. Except…
      Not really.
They spent a lot of time in restaurants regurgitating parts of pre-designed dishes. They’d cook a fish, or plate some potatoes, but a lot of elements, like sauces and mousses were pre-made. So, they were under the pressure of working as a chef, but only partially.
And I didn’t like the emphasis on performing well as a professional line chef in a kitchen. These are amateur chefs. Working as a chef in high-end restaurants takes training and time. That’s not what the contestants have been practicing at home, they’ve been creating recipes, learning the craft of food. And being a line chef doesn’t usually entail creating dishes for a restaurant. That’s going to be the head chef’s job. So, there was a disconnect for me as far as the various challenges and the spirit of the garish, but more successful versions (US and Canada) I’ve seen previously.
And egads, food is gross in the UK. So many meats inside meats with meat mousse and meat sauces. All the veg looks great, just…ew. Can we not have pre-digested meat smeared over everything?!

It seems, during this season, the cooks have hardly made their own food. They keep having to make other chef's dishes. That's weird.

Another reason I don't think Mike should have ever been in the finale it's because if you look at the comments by the judges through the whole series if you watch it in sequence he didn't have concentration that was good and he kept making mistakes on simple things whereas Christine focused and did so brilliantly even in a teen challenge that's why Mike is wrong person for the finale he's not going to make it through the finale I believe that Mary will win if she can keep her nerve up.

Well I like the show, but in all the various instances. When most contestants are part of a line. With one out of 3 or 4 mains, and then One contestant has to cook for the Entire restaurant. How's that fair or in anyway equal... Of course Ur gonna get swamped. 🤔

March 25th 2021 I was really disappointed in the finale for these Three chefs because it is unlike any of the other Master chef finale which I believe tested fully the ability to cook the best of the final participant. Putting these people into a restaurant to do line work create other desserts I think is very very wrong all of these chefs in the Irish competition were very weak in many areas and I feel the judges should have created a period of time testing and have used the model that is for MasterChef us because it is the best way to test the skills if you refuse the episodes which I've reviewed all of them and you can see people who were weak in the beginning get very strong. So we're not enough master classes and I dare to say that if this winner whoever it is would be put up again shelter winners of other MasterChef they would not do well. He's analysts are not well-rounded in the basic skills and the gentleman who is in the finals just made it by the skin of his teeth because he created a good dish he is not going to win because he doesn't have consistency and Mary has too much self doubt which you should not have expressed on TV about wanting to quit the night before and having her husband talk her into going through it. She could have taken tryptophan which is an over-the-counters vitamins other anxiety ones to fulfill this great conscious with this amount of money to be one. I have also believed that in every cooking competition because these people are not paid whether they have a place to stay like in Hell's kitchen or in MasterChef USA that they received for the last four contestants a prize. One should be a set of cookware maybe for the fourth place and in a different price for the third place and second place winner obviously in the MasterChef for USA they're offering money plus a car Plus cooking lessons at one of the restaurants or all of the restaurants of the judges. This Irish channel that sets up this Irish program I believe the next one has not been done because of the covid and this one was done just before the covid was announced and was actually done in 19 2019. this contest is very weak and they need to follow some of the ideas from MasterChef us which has been followed by other danger countries using that format. What I did like was in the beginning when the people were being tested to see who would win an apron for the first time if there was not people outside that it was done privately so that if they want or lost in April in the first time there were people there that they had so I like that but maybe it was because this was the first time and it was not easy to get people to come in and I do would like to know how they chose the applicant

No one in any kitchen is allowed to work in that mess and that also in professional kitchen. No way. Just think food and hygiene.

I'm moving the finalist should be judged under Foreman throughout the whole competition because that might have made a difference with the guys. He has been so bad in so many competitions that unlike other competitions although it's the final challenge that counts they did not set up this contest that way. whoever is going to create the best dish on the line is not the way to judge the best person for this project. in my opinion from experiencing the food industry the three girls should have been finalists because they showed the most promise and longevity rather than the gentleman who I thought was going to be eliminated many weeks ago. If the judges has been smart to reduce some of the other MasterChef contest in their entirety they would have set up this time position differently. I understand I'm only offering the money as a prize but again because they want to have more seasons of competition and because these people were treated I think very harshly even though they need it for discipline I believe they should have offered the last four people a price of some consequence. How difficult would it be to offer the fourth place winner a set of the most expensive cookware available how about the third place winner getting some kind of money or some kind of pride and a great price for the constellation winner. They have done so on MasterChef USA where I believe in the last couple of seasons the second prize winner did get something so this is my suggestion.

Apparently if I lived in Ireland, I would starve to death. Everything that they’ve cooked since episode one is absolutely repulsive. I don’t care how many stars you give them. I wouldn’t be eating baby animals either.

If you haven't tasted something (and your 'apparently' proves you have no clue your you banging about), don't judge it or say it is 'disgusting'. You must be American... I lived there for over a decade and people were always yacking how this and that food was 'disgusting' yet had never tried it. I served people some 'disgusting' food they loved; I didn't tell them what was in it.
