    UMKC 6 year BA/MD program was a great way for me to study and learn medicine in an efficient way without a lot of the fluff that comes with the traditional route of medical school. In this video, I talk about how I came to that decision that led me to where I am today. I also touch on BS/MD programs in general and if it is a good decision for you to go to BS/MD medical schools.

    Hi Jacob! Thanks for putting this YT channel together and congrats on becoming a Dr.! I am looking into UMKC and I am from the midwest. I attended a virtual session and I absolutely loved it! I do have 1 questions-how many hours of clinical experience did you have when you applied?

    • @jacobpereramd8094
      @jacobpereramd8094  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When I applied I had very few true hours of clinical experience. I didn’t have much shadowing or anything in a hospital itself but I had several medically related activities through my school and I attended 2 medical workshops that were put on by a local college. Ultimately what you want is to show them your interest. If you can get real experience shadowing or in a hospital that’s great! But if not just do anything that can show your interest in Medicine!

      th-cam.com/video/cUrHxWvKKNE/w-d-xo.html here is my video all about UMKC acceptance rate! The cost varies depending on whether you are from Missouri, the regional area, or out of state. In short, out of state students pay much more than students from Missouri or KC

    I’m a rising senior in high school from Georgia. I will be applying to this program in the fall. Do you have any advice ?

      I would make sure to have several people read over your application and your answers to the questions/personal statement. You really want it to come across that medicine and science is your passion and that you are committed since it’s a 6 year program. Make sure to emphasize your medically related activities in the extracurricular section. They want to see that you ACTUALLY like medicine and want to be a physician. Get the application started and submitted early so that there is no stress or issue with it being late or rushing to get it done. Best of luck!

    Hi Jacob, do you have the information about weather UMKC accept or not international students in their BA/MD program?

    • @jacobpereramd8094
      @jacobpereramd8094  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe they do, but I would double check the website to be sure! It is challenging though as they have set percentages of students they take from Missouri and regional states prior to allowing outside students

    how many weeks off a year do you get?

    • @jacobpereramd8094
      @jacobpereramd8094  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends which year of the program you are in! In the first 3 years you get standard school breaks like spring break, winter break, and 2 weeks off at the beginning and end of summer semester
