For me milltek sounds like shit cause it's sounds too much like a coke can.
@@MrZyLeXx really? Thats disappointing. All the full miltek exhausts I have heard on TH-cam have sounded sick. Have you heard any good sounding ones? If so what exhaust are they running?
@@MK6CHRIS To me Remus sounds good on the mqb 2.0 tsi platforms, but i find it hard for these to sound really good. I feel like the older 2.0 Tfsi sounds better but that's just me. Golf R with full milltek turboback resonated sounds alright but idk, im just not into the milltek sound.

@@hampshirephoto The problem is Golf R's are getting ridicolusly expensive. To the point were a BMW M2 Competition would seem more sensible for the cash... I wonder how expensive the MK9 will turn out. Makes you wonder how much you can charge for a 4 cyl 2 litre really. And thats coming from one who ones one. Yes the new MK8 is extremely tunable. But is everything about speed? How about relability for the money..? 👍

Literally the perfectly built Golf R.. everything is done right, from the aesthetics to the performance. Black on black is my favorite, so that's a golden check mark, and 564hp out of a little 4 banger? That's obviously a golden check mark as well. Literally PERFECT. Well done mate.
Best part is that all internals are stock.. badass!!!!

Really nice, with those you know you're done when you can take the engine cover off and it actually looks good. Just missing the kick ass manifold to replace the plastic one :) Gorgeous in black like that and love those wheels
Sigh. I just sold a 2011 GTi manual completely done. Stage 3. 293k miles on it with a stock block. Needed paint due to Highway rock chips. Drove it 3000 miles a month easy. Got an X5M but I’m having withdrawal after watching this. Gorgeous car.

@@samroberts4562 yeah man. I would have kept it but it needed a full paint job. Front end paint was essentially sandblasted off from road debris. Wheel bearings were going. That would have been $5-6k of work in a car worth less than $4k. It was time. She’s still going though. A guy bought it who has funds. Might drop a new motor it it and track it.

I really love this build, and for a resonated exhaust it still sounds plenty enough due to that big turbo,also love that it has no pops and bangs, those can be really irritating sometimes. Love the 2 doors, thats just me, i'm a 2 door guy through and through, and i love the fact that people think owning a car for 4 years is long.😂i own my pq35 a3 8p since 2010, thats 11 years and i am still not bored of that car, a project car is a soul connection, it's like a proper relationship you build upon it, maybe it's me turning 35 this year but thats how i see things, love to own a mark 7.5R 1 day manual 2doors but i will keep my sleeper a3 as long as i can, the car is almost 16 years old by now so thats classic car. Anyways love this build, loved the video.👍✌️👉
Props for not making it obnoxious, most golfs sound like the exhaust is coming off but this thing is cleaaaaaan!

I work on volkswagens every day and I must say I'm pretty impressed the stock intake manifold can hold up under that pressure.
Makes me feel better about going stage 2 with mine lol didn’t think the plastic would hold up
Question, have you seen many mk7 GTI's suffers crank walk?
@@Bawla187 I believe that the only cars that have that issue are manuals. And of all the manual MK7s out there only a small amount of them end up developing crankwalk, especially the out of the new ones. I’ve heard from many people that some upgraded clutches can cause crankwalk, but some upgraded clutches help crankwalk. In the end I wouldn’t worry about it too much especially if you don’t own a manual. If you do have a manual and are going to upgrade your clutch make sure you do some research on specific brands and if they’re prone to making the crankwalk issue worse.

Sounds lovely. How long will it last without the internals being replaced. I managed to destroy the first motor in my GTi pumping too much power in and it wasn’t this mental. Always curious.

Nice and & fast a car congrats! but many can do this... however how much power would you get from that engine if not boosted? I mean N/A.. taking the 2.0fsi engine as example.

Quick question..are the hoses of the catch can ok? or they need to be changed with each other. All stars and deutsche motors put the short hose where is the long one is. Or does not matter...
It has a special crisp sound when going through the gears....its almost instant. Best sounding MK7 R without pops & bang. Definitely won't get anyone in trouble with the neighbors 🔞💪

Are the Michelin cups better than the Michelin PS4s ? I run and have always run PS4s and to me there the best for all weather but I’d be interested to no what the cups are like
Correction on when he described the car having lag with a big turbo. The answer is YES. There is significantly more lag with a big turbo. BUT the reason why you’re not feeling lag in this drive is because he is mashing the peddle everywhere he is going, revving the engine out, which is allowing him stay in boost. If he wasn’t driving like that, and just driving normally in everyday road conditions, there is definitely lag down low. Now yes, you can just keep the revs high to stay out of lag, but if you want to save fuel, you will need to stay low in the rpm’s, and stay out of boost, and in doing so, there is a lot of lag.
Great response. Yes, it doesn't look like any lag in the video but ur right he's on it the whole time so of course the RPM's are up to spool it.

I'm a little surprised at only 620nm with all those mods, I'm guessing it's capped to protect the gearbox ?
My little M140i runs 634nm from only 455bhp, hence my wonder at this Golf only having 620 ?
I do like the car a lot though, I bet it's a hoot to drive.
if i were to say something, the golf has awd and m140i is rwd? where rwd would put less stress with high torque than awd transmission? and with dsg you cannot upgrade like clutch system for more grip? you dont see awd car burning out since you would need ungodly amount of power same with ungodly transmission components. where alot of cars with rwd will easily burnout without putting stress on the transmission??
