hi. my son just turned 24 months i know they’re expected to be walking by a certain milestone, he just wasn’t that kid, he has stood independently only twice before and wasn’t up long before he fell. he sits up, crawls, did meet those milestones a bit late, but he did meet them, along with pulling to stand, he can go back down to a stand, but only comfortable walking along things. he shows nearly every ready sign i attempt to stand him up and have him walk holding onto my hands, sometimes he’ll do it sometimes he won’t and will go back into a sit. the other day for the first time he was holding into my hands and let go of one, and held onto me just by one hand, i feel like a lot of the issue is lacking courage to let go and stand alone, he can climb, walks along walls, couch’s,tables, you name it, he gets around really good, he was just delayed, he was i guess you could say a bit lazy lol he’ll hold onto furniture with one hand, just refuses to do anything standing alone and if he doesn’t want to he won’t. very stubborn. if he is able to do all that he does do, should we be alright ?
My daughter just turned 15 months and is showing all the signs of standing readiness you mentioned but will not stand for more than 5-10 seconds at a time independently and is very shaky. We have an appt with her pediatrician today but just wanted your two cents, do you think she would benefit from PT?
My son is 10 months old and is a pro at all the above. He can stand supporting himself on one hand, cruise vertically and all that but he is just too scared to try standing unsupported what should I do to boost his confidence?
The second exercise in this video is a great way to boost confidence! They are standing with occasional and randomized support, but rely on their own balance to stay upright. Keep encouraging and give him some time and I'm sure he'll catch on!
Mine too he can stand independently he’s done it before but it’s like as soon as he realizes he’s not holding on to anything he falls I think he’s scared 😭
My daughter is 18 months old but was born 3 months premature. She stands for hours but only with support. She can cruise around too, pulls to stand. But she can’t stand independently. She wobbles too much. Is there a certain thing I can tackle
Sounds like my son! He’s 18 months and born 3 months early and is done all of this but won’t stand independently. How long did it take for her to stand after you wrote this?
Please my name is Boateng from Ghana West Africa. My daughter is 2years 10months old and is having difficulty in walking. I sent her to the hospital and she was diagnosed delayed developmental milestone. She barely stand on her own... Please I need your help.
You could consider physiotherapy for you daughter to facilitate walking. Pediatric physiotherapists are trained to assist children to reach their milestones and korle bu or 37 military hospital offer the best pediatric physiotherapy care. Hope this helps.
I take care of a baby 10 months old and he doesn’t like standing when I tried the first few times he kept the same sitting position instead of standing and after I tried in the swimming pool he stood for a bit

My son started walking at 18 months. He started standing alone at 17months. I was really worried but I came to realise each baby has different milestone. So don't give up just trust the process

Same issue
Same issue and even physically therapy didn't provid the expected results
Let baby practice more on four point crawl will build up core then will walk steadily
