The main issue I'm seeing is the cost of entry, the two player starter is fine at the $25-$30 range, but the collection at $50 or higher can be a hard sell.
Foundations is super solid. I built a good Orzhov drain/gain deck in the sealed pre-release. Went 1-2, but all the games were pretty close, so I had a good time and can't wait to draft it
Would you ever consider doing a similar series to your $15 commander decks for standard? Like a super $15-$30 standard deck that can do decent at a locals?
I love this set I got the Beginners box so I can use it to onboard people I got the Starter Set because I koved and need to rebuild the "basics" in my collection I went to several prereleases and had a blast And since this is a proper jumpstart set I got a box so I can have people play that with me (also so I can build a Jumpstart Cube later with the themes I enjoyed)
I really love this set and it will probably be my excuse to try standard with some friends. The thing that bothers a bit to me is that there is not a starter suplement for commander. All the LGS in my area (I'm talking about 3) are mainly, almost uniquely, playing commander nowadays. And that's good, I am from the ones that prefer commander over 1v1 formats, and this product tries to tell you "ey, here you have staples for commander", but no help for that deck construction in the Starter Collection, knowing it is the main format of Magic rn. I know the focus of the product was not that, but the Starter Commander set with those beautiful affordable decks are out of stock or priced as luxury rn. This is also one of the reasons why I love your channel. I suppose it's better this way and in the future, now that WotC have full control of the format, to have a set like Foundations focused in Commander, but still have the weird feel in me with those 3 cards.
I'm actually pretty mad that the Foundations Jumpstart isn't Foundations cards that are standard legal, but Spider-Man will be because new players have to have their new cards be standard legal.
Getting commander precons in a set aimed towards modern was just stupid. Why didnt they give us modern precon? I recently have been playing a lot of pauper lately. Also pretty cheap
Had so much fun at the Prerelease! I made a second deck right before my last match, played it, and god I have never loved gruul stompy more than that.

I'm still extremely salty that they decided for some reason to only print the beginner collection in English

Slight misplay during the playtest, you don't get the 1/1 token with Dwynen's elite if you don't control an elf

I saw some peeps at my prerelease got the beginner boxes and I may pick one or two up as a) a collector item and b) to teach my mom.

I need to get that playmat....🤔😁
do we know how long this set will be in print? Will jumpstart be printed at the same rate?
Id assume 5 years
Suris big bucks

It makes sense. Wizards tried jumpstart standard before.
It was a mess
I was on the edge of watching this a second time to do a count of how many times "Izzet" was said.

they don't print modern precons because they don't want modern mana bases to be accessible so they can use reprints of them to push sets.
@@cameronmcpherson2677 but they even put shocklands in the pioneer decks before, why wouldn't they do this for the modern decks?
first!
is it a Crime to be THIS early?
No, crimes target your opponents or stuff they control :p
Only if you targeted the video with a like
